"By whom?" Kardama inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Rank 1 and champion of the second year," she replied calmly. She was known as Maya, a girl of ordinary background who now served as the personal secretary to the second-year's top-ranked student.

Maya stood straight, her demeanor composed and efficient as she delivered the message.

"Is that a request or an order?" Kardama asked, his tone firm.

The girl remained silent, she hadn't anticipated anyone defying that person's summon.

"Because if it's an order, you know I won't be going," Kardama continued, crossing his arms.

"What if it's a request?" the girl countered, her voice steady.

"In that case, you can strike a deal with me. I'll go in exchange for a piece of your soul," Kardama proposed with a slight smirk.

The girl stood motionlessly without any respond.
