Reincarnation - Chapter 1

Ray's POV

As my consciousness floated in the eternal abyss, I wasn't scared. Contrary to it, I felt peaceful for the first time in a while. As I floated around, the smell of eggs and bacon entered my nose...WAIT!!!! Eggs and bacon???? I quickly woke up and threw away the bedsheets which tangled my body. Wait wasn't I supposed to be dead? Maybe I survived the crash. No... it's impossible. Firstly I am in someone else's room. Secondly, I seem to be wearing a pair of pajamas. Also, it is not possible to be this fit after an accident, contrary to it I feel healthier than ever before the accident. Bewildered would be an understatement. Alright, let's calm down for a minute, firstly I took a look around. The room was large (by my standards) and minimalistic (a taste which I appreciate). In a corner was a large wooden table with a computer on top. Above it were bookshelves with books like ' How to Ace the Ace Academies' and 'Philleon's comprehensive guide to Monsters'. Hey, I think the owner of this room is a weeb like me, fortune and misfortune go hand in hand it seems, after all with a near-death experience I got the opportunity to find a fellow comrade. I still felt drowsy, so I made my way to what I assumed to be the bathroom. I chanced upon a mirror which completely flipped my world upside-down. I expected to see a skinny adult with blond hair and dull blue eyes. However, what I saw was enough to warrant a scream but through superhuman restraint, it wasn't the case. I saw an extremely handsome boy with sea-blue eyes full of vitality. He had messy black hair falling a few inches past his ears. He had a chiseled jawline, a dead center, and straight nose.

Something hit me like a car(speaking from experience), it was a realization that I Ray had been reincarnated into my favorite novel, 'Swordsman of the End'. The hint was the books I saw on the bookshelf above the desk. Suddenly, as though my thoughts were a trigger I was assaulted by a dizzying pain in my mind as nausea took control of my body as I doubled over. After what felt like several hours were a few minutes in reality. I saw fragmented memories of the previous owner of this body. As I muttered two words ' show status'. A blue screen appeared showing:

I must say, consider me impressed. For an extra this is beyond impressive and the intelligence stat is out of this world. In fact the more I look back at Nero's memories the impressed I get. Apparently his parents hold top positions in a gold guild. In fact they found the guild with his mother being a vice guild master and his father being the guild master. Despite his moderately good background he never took any types of elixirs to boost stats, only potions for recovery which are used rarely as he made his body get used to recovery in order to increase recovery rate as evidenced by the skills on the stats panel. Despite his less than average talent, he easily makes it up with skills he learnt through trial and error instead of books and combat instinct. He could definitely be on par with E- ranks. It's a shame that his talent cap was low otherwise Nero would have been a powerful side character instead of an obscure extra. Obviously this can be fixed with my future knowledge. Now I have to secure 2 items, let the looting spree begin.
