Chapter 14: Caliburn
Noah's POV
While scrolling through the hundreds of messages another one pop up.
"I found it, the Caliburn" the message said, tho it was sent by an unknown number.
"The King's Trial is yet to be completed" another message came in, that line maade merealized who was it.
The day after...
Since the caliburn has been found it's time for Markus to Partially blessed the knights he has chosen, I have to let Markus use my Sacred weapon for this.
As Marwin and Leonel once told me, a Person with King's Authority can Partially bless a Human to make them a titan using any sacred weapon, the only difference is that they won't have Absolute Authority, they will still transform into a Titan, the blessing would still convert their genes into a Titan but would not be able to inherit the absolute authority of the original knights.
I gave Markus my sacred weapon and it instantly reacted to his King's authority.
When a Chosen Titan held a sacred weapon he instantly learns how to bless a Titan it's one of the few mechanics left by original knights in able to assure the continuation of the lineage of the Titans.
"What's this feeling?" Markus asked
"It's the King's Authority reacting to a sacred weapon, that sword is Percival's holy blade" I said.
Amy and Ria kneeled before Markus, Margarette and Amerie casts a spell to strengthen the bond of the souls of the Previous Titans to Amy and Ria.
"With the power bested upon us, we call upon the power of the will of Avalon, bless those who are chosen by the King of knights" Amerie and Amy said casting a spell in able to makle the blessing possible without the caliburn.
"With the power Given to me, I bless you as my Knights" Markus casting a spell
I held my hands on Markus' back and also casted a spell to connect him and the others to the Avalon's Throne.
The room became covered with my Aura as I connect them to the Avalon's Throne.
Third Person POV
Ria and Amy appeared before the throne of Avalon.
they were both infront of Arthur Pendragon, but they weren't Together as if they were in different time but they were talking to King Arthur at the same time just not on the same plane.
King Arthur talks to them both at the same time butin different planes
"Riafe Horthanfargon, my Kin, it's been a while since the last time I've talked to someone I share
the same blood" King Arthur said Riafe
"Amy De Luna, the Kin of Amerie De Luna, one of the few Titan born after me, a prodigy, the heart of the body" King Arthur said to Amy
Amerie Kneeled and bowed to the King of Knights
Riafe kneeled and bowed to the King of Knights
"your Highness, it's an Honor to be blessed by your presence, I don't deserve your presence" Riafe said
"King Arthur, it's an honor to be in your presence" Amy said
"Look up Amy, Look at me and answer my queries" King Arthur said to Amy
"Look up Riafe, Look at me and answer this question" King Arthur said to Riafe
"I will gladly do your Highness" Riafe said
"I will be honored" Amy said
"Will you follow me into the end of time? are you willing to die for the code we live for? for the people that hurt and loved you?" King Arthur said to both Riafe and Amy
Without hesitation They said
"I will, I am not as strong as the others, my heart is not as pure as the others, and I certainly don't deserve this power, but if the king so chooses me to be his knight, I will be glad to give my life to the king that picked me to be his knight" Riafe said
"With all my heart, I will do my best to do my duty and lay my life for the world" Amy said
"I hereby bless you with the blood of the Titans and the access to the will of Avalon" King Arthur said to both Riafe and Amy
Meanwhile......
Markus Appeared before the Two knights of Camelot.
"I have met a lot of kings, and you are definitely not one of them"- Sir Gawain said
"What do you mean?" Markus said.
"You are not yet a King, do you even have a reason to fight? do you even have enough courage to fight against an undying demon? the one before you failed despite being the strongest Lord Arthur that has ever lived" Sir Gawain said
"I already know about that, I know I am not fit to be a King" Markus answered
"What you should do is what you think is right, King Arthur is known for having the mindset that everyone in the table is equal, and you should do that as well, you are yet to choose your knights, absolute power corrupts absolutely, are you that king?" Sir Gawain said
"I don't know.." Markus said.
"Disappointing, this conversation is over, until next time boy" Sir Gawain said.
and he woke up in the real world, Amy and Riafe looking at him.
"I...have failed the trial" Markus said
Meanwhile
Marwin was walking in an ancient city.
The more I use the King's Authority the more I lose my sanity, this is the toll of using the power that I was no longer in access.
"Damn right you are" The image of Cleo said as he walk in the collapsing ancient city he is currently in.
The surrounding is dark, with minimal light being present in the entire area, the city is obviously underground.
"This used to be a very beautiful city many many centuries ago" Cleo's image said as Marwin continued to walk the path.
Marwin has been seeing an imaginary Version of the dead bestfriend he had ever since he started using the King's Authority after his access to the power was revoked by King Arthur due to his actions in North Korea,
Marwin threw a tiny ball and it transformed into a tiny drone, he controlled it using his right eyes.
"Subject found, artifact no. 1" The Ai in inside his head said.
(Marwin has an internal microchip implanted inside his brain after the battle of umahon, he sees Head's up display in his semi prostetic right eyes)
"I finally found it, it has returned in it's original pedestal" He said in relief.
Marwin stood infront of the artifact and held the artifact in it's handle, aura started to cover his entire body and his subconscious was transported into the avalon and brought him before King Arthur.
"It's been a while, the strongest Titan Knight who ever lived, Even I was not able to get that tittle during my day in the battlefield" King Arthur said
Marwin kneeled infront of King Arthur and said
"I am honored to appear before you my Highness" Marwin said
"not that long Ago, 2 new knights have been blessed by you Kin and one of them is my kind" King Arthur said
"oh you mean a mist?" Marwin said
"Whatever you call us, have you been well my kin?" King Arthur asked
"Not yet" Marwin said
"do you regret your action that caused you the full authority to the King's power?" King Arthur said
Marwin clenched his fist and gritted his teeth and said as he lower his head more.
"with all due respect my King, but I do not, heroes aren't the law but what I did back then was something I wouldn't change, if I could prevent another king to lose his queen I'd gladly do what I did back in North Korea" Marwin expressing his ressolve.
"You are indeed a special one, not only that you were able to bear my power without being a chosen, you've also wield 22 sacred weapon at the same time which no Blessed knight was able to do before, but the Power of the King is created to protect not to massacre, I may be it's creator, but I have no control to the rules I've created when I immortalized the Authority of the kings, if I were to be asked, you still deserve it, but gladly, someone has to carry that burden for you, you've found a way in my throne again, before you leave and take the sword, I wanted to give you this" King Arthur said before handing Marwin a glowing orb.
"What is this?" Marwin asked
"Hope,,,,, you'd know what is it for sooner rather than later"
His subconscious returns to the pedestal and looked at the beauty of excalibur.
"It's been a while old friend" He said
he then took out his communication gear and called Noah.
"I found it" he said but he stopped at his foot as he felt a presence that he is far too familiar with.
"bastard son of the king" He said as he looked at Mordred slowly emerging from the shadows.
"Ahh, The broken king" Mordred said as the Bastard king slowly unsheathed his sword from the side of his hips.
"You want me to defeat you gain? do you still want to grovel in pain as I slowly take the pride you have you bastard little shit" Marwin said as he unsheathes his sword.
Mordred and Marwin once again went toe to toe as Mordred's men stand to watch.
They are equally matched, in Mordred's Eyes he sees no one but Lancelot, bringing him back to the days he was sparring with Lancelot and the day they finally fought for real during the battle of his rebellion
"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HIS SON!" Marwin shouted, reminding Mordred of the exact same thing Lancelot told him hundreds of years ago.
"BECAUSE I AM THE KING! LANCELOT YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BE A KING!" Mordred said as he attacks Marwin but he collapsed after hitting Marwin with his sword
Marwin Activated his Kings Mode which made Lancelot's men stood back down as they knew how powerful he is because they are standing before the man who killed the great Dratos they all saw as the King of Mists.
as Marwin releases his tiny drones to deep scan the caliburn a man appeared behind Mordred's men.
Marwin's senses get dialed to ten as he felt something coming his way.
the Mark man once again appeared and attacked him but Marwin was able to block his attack but the mask man was powerful knocking Marwin back a few meters.
The Maskman threw Mordred into his man to save him.
"Take the prince out of here, I'll handle the Knight" The mask man said, his voice a bit cruckled as if his voice box is injured.
Marwin stood back up and started attacking the Masked man and looked at the sword he was using, he couldn't be mistaken, it's a sacred weapon and not just any sacred weapon it's the Twin Blade Katana, he knew because he is wielding the half of the 2 katanas.
"Where did you get that? that's mine!" Marwin said but the masked man didn't gave him an answer instead he attacked Marwin, but he was able to block the masked man's attack.
Both their sword started to show freezing in it's blade as how the twin blade is supposed to react to Lancelot's power, but one thing made Marwin confused, only he can wield Lancelot's power, or rather, only those who are blessed with Lancelot's power can use the twin blade Katana, Marwin used his king's mode and started attacking the masked man with all his might but the masked man was again able to block him, revealing that, he can also use the Kings mode.
"Only those who are blessed can use the power of Avalon" The masked man said
"WHO ARE YOU?" Marwin asked
"Your nightmare" The masked man said as he continued attacking Marwin
The masked man's eyes started to glow blue and red, just like Marwin's Eyes whenever he is in his King's mode but this is different he has a black scalera just like a mist.
Have they been able to replicate my power? and the power I wield when I had Leonel's eyes?
The thoughts that came into Marwin's minds as he looks at the masked man.
The masked man they used authority and starting shooting Fire and ice at him as he attack with his sword.
"What the fuck?" Marwin loudly swears, completely in shock after seeing a man who can use the same powers as him.
"WHO IN THE FUCKING WORLD ARE YOU?" Marwin loudly said as he continued attacking the Masked man.
Marwin used his Absolute Authority using Ice Powers while he fights, he calculated his body mass and made a thick shield that covers the outer layers of his body with Aura.
Who the fuck is this guy? is he a clone of mine? no he looks older, much more mature than I am
He keeps on thinking trying to hold off the masked man, Using his internal chips Marwin called for backup, Noah recieved the messaged.
"Fast reflexes, extreme intelligence and superior calculative mind, that's what made you special, but you've never considered yourself special, because you believed everyone can be just like you when in reality no one can ever beat you, but how does it feel to be the lesser being? to be knocked around by someone who can beat you even at your fullest?" The Masked man said.
"Shut the fuck up" Marwin said as he continued attacking the masked man.
"Undying will to fight, but did that saved your wife and child?, no you got them killed, you knew she can't fight during her pregnancy but you let her come with you, didn't you? it wasn't Mordred or the North Koreans that killed your wife and child it was you" The masked man taunted Marwin
Memories started to fill Marwin's Mind and slowly he's starting to lost control, just like what happened in North Korea.
Marwin's scalera turned into black, revealing the demonized Powers he had, the results of the genetic experiment Leonel and him did decades ago, infusing Marwin with the genes They took out from Reian, enabling him to use Authorities only a Pendragon can use.
