Chapter 27

SOPHIA'S POV

"Kids, hurry up we're gonna be late."

Silence followed as the kids made their way downstairs.

"Where's dad?" Claire asked.

"He's in the car waiting for us, let's go."

It's the weekend and Lucas suggested we go for a picnic . Not many people have the time on the weekends to enjoy the outdoors, so why not go to one of the beaches near the house?

We took the stairs down and made our way to the front doors. The sun was high and warm and as we stepped outside, we looked at the sky. As usual the rain clouds had disappeared and the sun, once again made its appearance. Our belongings were in the back of the car, it was time to drive to the beach.

As we approached the sea I took a good look at the coastline. "I really want to see the surf and sand today."

"I'm gonna make sure we get there," replied Lucas.
