Cheryl tried to open her eyes but it seemed like an invisible force was preventing her from doing so.

It felt as though her eyelids weighed a tonne.

The air was heavy and still.

She raised her hand and could feel that it was trembling.

She groaned in pain as the bruise on her forehead throbbed.

She felt her right eye bulge and pulse, and she couldn't believe that this was happening.

Then she realised what was happening.

She wanted to wake up so badly. In her unconscious state, she had been reliving the past. She's be seeing herself dying over and over again. Drowning as Sophia and getting burnt as Cheryl. The pain was unbearable, she wanted to wake up.
