CHAPTER TEN...

"It's been like what four. Three years since I last saw you. You look good JoJo". I turned to see who was speaking, and standing at the doorway of the kitchen was a guy, a really good looking one at that but not as good looking as Vladimir. I don't know why I compare every single guy I see to that grumpy man. I even did that when I met John. I groaned and that drew his attention to me.

"Hmm… and who might you be". He said walking towards me with his hands on his chin.

"Oh, wait I know. You're Vladimir's mate Gigi... no wait it was G-".

I caught him off. "It's Gianna actually"

"Yes, that's it". He smiled at me a pant dropping smile that if it were any other girl in my place they would have swooned but I couldn't help but imagine how Vladimir would look smiling like that.

Damn it.

"Why are you back here Shawn". I was shocked at how stern she sounded she didn't sound like that minutes ago, she was also full on glaring at him.

"Don't be like that JoJo I'm sure you missed me too because I did miss you and dear Vladimir so much". He said too sweetly, that could only mean he didn't mean it.

"I can see that your time away didn't do you good. You are still the same asshole we all knew. If you'll excuse me I've got better things to do". she turned and left. In that moment she sounded so much like Vladimir. I was also confused at her behavior. I mean I just met her so I knew she wasn't cold.

I was still looking at the place she had just disappeared in to, when he cleared his throat and I turned my attention to him.

"I didn't get to properly introduce myself. I'm Shawn Vladimir's cousin from his dad side". He said still smirking. I just nodded not knowing what to say to him. If Josephine had reacted that way, then there was something about him that she didn't like. Oh well I'll get to know everything soon.

"Nice to meet you Shawn". I said politely.

He smiled. "Sorry to cut short our moment but If you'll excuse me I have to get prepared for my meeting with Vladimir". I smiled and he nodded and left.

Dinner had just been served not too long ago to my room when Jo badged in.

"What exactly are you doing in here". She said sounding pissed.

Uh oh. What now

I pointed to my food on the table.

Wasn't it pretty obvious what exactly I was doing.

When she still didn't say anything and was still glaring at me I tried explaining.

"Well dinner was just brought in and I was going to start eating after finishing this game". If possible her glare got hotter

"I was waiting at the dining table for you to join us and you didn't come so Gracie told me that you decided to eat in your room. Why"?

I sighed deeply. Not this again. "Well I didn't want to inconvenience any one" meaning Vladimir and Cora, they weren't comfortable with me around.

And you are also avoiding Vladimir, a little voice in my head said. That wasn't true why on earth would I want to avoid him. I simply just didn't like being where I clearly wasn't wanted. That was it. I wasn't avoiding anyone.

She came to sit beside me on the bed and grabbed my hand putting it in hers and placing it on her lap. "This is now your home Gigi and you are not inconveniencing anyone okay. Now you'll come with me to that dining table and you're going to eat your dinner there from now on".

She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the dining room not waiting for my reply.

I could see similarities between the two siblings like earlier today when she spoke to Shawn and now dragging me to the dining room without waiting for my reply exactly how Vladimir behaved when he came to my pack and didn't wait for my reply concerning coming to his pack.

It's not like you had a choice. Oh shut up voice of reason. I knew deep down that I had no choice in the matter about coming to his pack, but I still wanted to be asked, that's not much to ask for is it.

Immediately I entered the dining room, Vladimir looked at me and scowled again and moved to leave the room but Jo stopped him.

"No Mr., you'll listen to me today. You can't treat her this way. I know you miss her but my goodness you are being given a second chance at happiness don't throw it away". If a pin dropped right at this moment it would have been too loud. Everyone looked at Vladimir waiting to see what he would do. I didn't think anyone spoken to him about this with the way they were all looking at him.

He just looked at her and left. Oh well she did try.

Dinner was tense after Vladimir left I noticed Cora too wanted to leave but John stopped her. You could cut the tension with a knife.

I was about going to my room after dinner when someone grabbed my arm. I turned to see Cora glaring at me.

Immediately she got my attention she quickly left my arm like I just burned her.

"Hey Cora, did you need something". If looks could kill I'd probably be six feet under.

"I don't need anything from you and I never will". Okay that was a bit much in my opinion and this conversation was just wasting my time. I didn't have time for this.

"Okay then, what's your problem with me". I decided to go straight to the point.

"Look just because you have every other person fooled into thinking that you're a nice person, I know who you really are and your real agenda here".

Is this girl mad, what on earth is she talking about? She didn't even know me. Talk about crazy. And what agenda could I possibly have.

"You want to take Selena's place in his life. You want everybody to just forget about her, but that's not going to happen because Vladimir won't let you". Okay I had been trying to be nice all along but she's just stepping on my toes now. There's only so much I can take.

"Look Cora I don't want to take anyone's place okay. Hell if I had a choice I would never have wanted to be mated to him. So don't stand there and talk like you know me because you don't if you did, you'll probably know that I don't want this. I understand that she was your best friend and all, but you don't get to say rubbish to me. If you want to be mad at someone then be mad at fate not me. Goodnight".

I didn't even wait to hear if she had any other thing to say to me I just wanted to get out of here before I lost it.
