CHAPTER SIXTEEN...

Vladimir was gone two days after our fight. My wolf was hurt but she was quick to forgive him seeing as his wolf and her shared a deeper connection, but I was still very much annoyed with him.

The next day after the fight, while I was sitting in the kitchen he came in, I had thought he was going to say something like I'm sorry, but he just left like I wasn't even sitting there. I was so pissed the apple in my hand suffered because I crushed it imaging it was his head.

Jo, Gracie, Henry and John had also been giving him the silent treatment on my behalf, but I didn't want them to do that because of me. It was between I and Vladimir, so I had tried to get them to talk to him but they didn't budge only talking to him when it was about the pack. But even with everyone in the house not talking to him he didn't look remorseful, which only got on my nerves the more.

Not that I had expected him to grovel, but I had at least expected an apology for the stuff he said. I knew I shouldn't have gone into that room and touched things in there, but it wasn't my fault.

If he had only told me not to go in there, no matter how curious I was I wouldn't have gone in, but he didn't, and instead of apologizing to me he left for a week business trip. He simply didn't care if I was angry at him. I'm beginning to think that he even likes it that I'm pissed at him, but I didn't know why I was surprised in the first place.

Today I had decided to follow Gracie and Jo to the other pack house since I was going to be the Luna of the pack as my lovely mate had sweetly told me. Note the sarcasm. I had better get started.

I didn't want to sit around being idle which would eventually take my mind to Vladimir and I really didn't want to think about him. So I quickly put on a dress. I had debated wearing a jean and T-shirt but decided against it. I was nervous. It was my first time going to the pack house and I wanted the pack members to like me, it wasn't good or advisable to be in a pack where you are not liked. I only hoped they would like me and not follow in the footsteps of their Alpha.

Arriving at the pack house I was once again met with a beautiful mansion like house, with children running around playing with each other.

Now this was how a pack house should be.

Gracie as usual took it upon herself to show me around and introduce me to some pack members as the Luna. Most pack members were really excited and nice to me while only a few weren't happy. They weren't out rightly mean to me but from their expressions I knew they didn't really like the idea of me, which was totally fine by me I didn't expect all of them to like me. Moreover, most of them were really nice and accepting. That was enough.

On my way to join Jo upstairs I was intercepted by a tall blond girl. I didn't know why but she looked familiar but I couldn't recall where I had seen her. I said hi and introduced myself but didn't get a response. I moved and tried to get by her but she grabbed my hand firmly drawing me back in front of her.

What on earth is wrong with some people.

"Okay what do you want from me". I said lazily.

"I don't need anything from you".

Okay here we go another Cora or maybe she might be worse, but who cares not me.

"I just need you to stay the hell away from Vladimir because he's my mate".

"Wow. You say he's your mate but how come he doesn't know that". Ding Ding, she was worse than Cora. I didn't want to waste any more time arguing with her I was feeling hot and needed cool air.

I moved once again to go but she once again grabbed my arm.

"Let go now". I said slowly but she still didn't let up on her grip so I did what I could do. I dropped my bag on the floor and before she could figure out what I was going to do I grabbed her hand and twisted it till I heard a crack. She immediately released my arm but not before letting out a loud piercing scream that was sure to gain attention.

Oh come on it wasn't that painful besides it'll heal.

I bent down grabbed my bag and went upstairs to join Jo and Gracie.

Apparently they also heard the banshee scream and wanted to know what had happened to Lydia. They finally told me that she was Vladimir's childhood friend but they stopped being friends after he mated to Selena. I now remembered why her face looked familiar. She had been in some of the pictures. She didn't change much only that her brown hair was now straight instead of wavy.

After a long day at the pack house we decided to go back home, we were all exhausted. I was glad I didn't see Lydia again, I was sure she would approach me again, girls like her never learn.

I didn't know why but since today I have been feeling uneasy and uncomfortable, I just thought that it was because Vladimir wasn't here and my wolf was so sad. I simply pushed the uneasy feeling and continued with my day.

I was so exhausted and hot I felt like I had been carrying heavy loads all day. So immediately I reached our kitchen I quickly chugged down 5 glasses of water and sat down on the chair by the counter. Gracie and Jo immediately sat on the other chairs that were beside me. We were all exhausted.

"I never knew I could be this tired today, remind me to never procrastinate my work again " Jo said and we all laughed. She had a lot of work to do seeing as she had neglected them for a while.

"I can't wait for you to fully begin your Luna duties. A lot of duties will be lifted off my shoulders". Jo said laughing.

I was going to reply to something Gracie had said when I doubled over by a sharp pain in my abdomen. It was nothing like I've ever felt before. I groaned in pain causing Jo and Gracie to rush to my side.

"Gianna what's wrong what happened " Jo said but I just groaned in reply. The pain immediately passed as quick as it came that you might think it wasn't there in the first place.

"Don't worry about it, I must have eaten something bad that upset my stomach ". I said.

"Are you sure you're okay ". Gracie said you could hear the concern in her voice.

"Yeah, I'm sure. Is it just me or is this place too hot"? I said using my hand to fan myself. I had a sudden urge to take off my cloths I was feeling too hot.

"I think I know what is wrong with her ". Gracie said frantically looking up at Jo with a dreadful expression on her face.

"Gracie tell me" Jo implored.

"Jo, Gianna is on her heat and Vladimir isn't here". I didn't have any time to say anything to her, because immediately she finished her statement I doubled over in pain this time it was a hundred times more painful than the last.
