Stray Devils

(POV: Third person)

Next day. Morning...

Shigara woke up from his sleep, feeling refreshed after good night sleep. Lifting himself from the bed, still yawning, he walked to the bathroom to freshen up and get ready for today. While taking a shower he noticed on the shoulder the strange tattoo that instantly dropped in the eyes. Thinking how it got there, he touched the tattoo, but nothing happened. Not thinking too much about it, he finished his shower, brushed his teeth and went to get a breakfast, but noticed that it was quiet in the house. Walking down the stairs, stepping inside the kitchen he noticed a paper on the fridge.

'From parents'

We went on little holiday for a week, we left some money for you this week so get yourself food and some daily necessities. Don't worry about us we will be back soon.

"Kurayami do you have something to do with this?" Shiraga asked curiously her in the mind.

"Of course, you don't want to involve them in supernatural do you?" Kurayami said while appearing in front of the table and taking the seat in one of the chairs.

"You sure can read my mind sometimes." He chuckled while throwing the paper into the trash bin. "Anyways, I guess I need to prepare breakfast myself, want something?" Shiraga asked her, while putting some water in the kettle and putting in the place clicking the button to boil the water.

"Fufufu~ Make me tea if you would." Kurayami giggled at him stating what she wants. He prepared the tea for both of them and made some sandwiches while he's at it. Putting the everything on the table, he sat down opposite of her and started to eat and she did the same. After they ate the breakfast, they cleaned up the table and both of them went into the living room. Sitting down and turned on the TV, searching for something to watch.

"So... Shiraga, when we gonna deal with those rogue devils you were talking about, first week already passed and you were saying it will be fun, but after that event, it was nowhere fun~" Kurayami asked while sitting down near him on the sofa and putting the sad face.

"Good thing you reminded me, I actually forgot about it. A lot happened that day, I was so exhausted that it actually left my mind." Shiraga sighed and leaned back and closed his eyes. " I guess we might as well deal with them tonight. I"m kinda itching for some fight." He said that while letting out a smile.

"You sure? You don't wanna rest more?" She asked in the worried voice, pulling him into her lap pillow. "You know~ I know some techniques that will make you relax~" She giggled while stroking his hair.

"Sorry, but I will pass, I don't wanna be molested." He opened his eyes and pulled himself from her lap pillow.

"And here I thought I will make you relax *pout*" Kurayami puffed her cheeks while finishing what she said.

"There will be some other time for that, right now let's focus on preparing for fight. Oh man, I can't wait!" Shiraga feeling pumped up for tonight.

"*sigh* Fine." Kurayami said while turning her head back to the TV.

Shiraga did his daily workout, after being drenched in sweat, took another shower. Checking the clock it was lunch, prepared something to eat. He ate and went to his room, leaving Kurayami in the living room who is watching TV, to prepare the gear for tonight. Back into his room, he decided to buy some clothes from the system shop, checking his balance he let out a big sigh that he didn't had much, so he decided to buy same clothes he bought last time when he first encountered the devils. Finishing his clothing for tonight, the thought came to his mind where did that scythe go.

"I guess I can try summoning the scythe again. Here goes nothing! COME TO ME CRASCENT OF ANGEL!" He yelled out in his room, while holding his arm out. He saw that his tattoo started to glow darkish color on his shoulder and then weapon come out in front of him. Picking it up, he thought that it will happen the same, but strangely it didn't even happened. The scythe was light, with minimal detail, but the blade on it looked sharp that looked that it could cut through anything.

"You called, Master?" The voice in the scythe called to him in curious tone.

"Don't tell me... You are that girl who kicked my ass that day?" Shiraga asked feeling his whole body tensed up.

"Hahaha! You sure have your ways with words. You could say that I kicked your ass, but after what happened later I guess it would be a way around. Anyways, what did you call me for? She laughed a bit, but remembering what happened later in her voice could be heard a stutter, but he didn't pry on it and just let out a sigh.

"Asking for what happened, but judging from your voice you won't talk about it. Anyways, I just wanted to see if it will happen like yesterday and will be pulled to that void, but now looking at the situation it didn't happen." He explained what he was doing now to her. "So, what are this scythes capabilities?" Shiraga asked curiously.

"To make long story short, this form of mine is just the first level. I have four levels. First level is scythe, second is a sword, third is a bow, fourth would be a spear. My strongest form would be a bow, but if you looking for defensive I would prefer a scythe form and if you want range then spear would be the greatest bet. Well at the moment you can access just first two. When you grow stronger I grow stronger too, you can say we are bound to each other." She explained everything in monotonous leaving no detail behind.

"I understand. But calling you that long name is kinda exhausting, you wanna have a different name?" Shiraga asked in curious voice waiting for the answer. "So its basically a sacred gear, but better." That was his thoughts while he listened to her whole explanation.

"Call me whatever you want." She exclaimed still in monotone voice.

"Fine, then I will call you Ina. Sounds good?" He pondered his mind for the name and then called it out what was on his mind.

"I was hoping for some lame ass name, but it does sound good. Then my name from now on will be Ina." Ina said with a hint of happy voice. "By the way you didn't told me your name." She asked him bluntly.

"Oh, sorry! My name is Shiraga, Shiraga Orochi. Glad to be working together." Shiraga said in the happy voice, keeping his laughter from the happiness. "Anyways, I gonna put you away now." As he said it the scythe vanished like it wasn't there. After the exchange with his weapon, he looked at the clock and saw how time passed quickly while talking, it was almost night time. Preparing some small details and then he waited for the midnight.

After the night came, both Shiraga and Kurayami where jumping from roof to roof, while Shiraga was using his skill observation looking for the prey. Shiraga got lucky and noticed 10 presences in the south direction, signaling Kurayami they both changed direction. They landed near abandoned factory, he walked with Kurayami inside, instantly putting up the barrier for not leaking out any aura outside. Shiraga instantly noticed the eyes looking down on him on top of the cealing.

"Ho? That's new. What does a yokai and human doing here?" The voice resounded in the factory.

"No need to tell a dead devil, what we doing here." Shiraga replied with serious voice, glaring with red eyes.

"Confident are we? Well, I didn't have a snack for couple days. You two will suffice." He replied with a chuckle and signaled his friends to attack.

"Ina! Change to form two!" He said with evilish smile, while sword formed in his hands. Then he looked at Kurayami. "Highest kill count wins?" He asked Kurayami.

"Ara~ You surely want to challange me? Fine then." She laughed off at that challange by Shiraga and let out a devilish smile as well.

The stray devils came out of the corners, launching themselfs at the prey, but what they didn't know that they are the prey at this game. Shiraga dissapeared slashing couple heads off some devils with evil smile that accompanied him, while Kurayami did the same, but slashed off 3 heads. 4 other devils that saw what happened couldn't believe how fast they moved, they stopped in their tracks, wanting to run away, but little they know that they are in a cage. Shiraga looking at other 4 devils, instantly vanished from the spot and slashed ones devil abdomen off splitting him in two. Kurayami vanished as well but took off the other 3 devils heads with her katana.

"Fufufu~ I guess I win this challenge~" She giggled at Shiraga who just grunted at her words.

"*sigh* Fine." Shiraga let out a sigh while turning his eyes to the devil that was looking at them.

"JUST WHO ARE YOU TWO?!" The devil shouted at them with angry voice.

"We? Hmmmm.... Let's say we are the devil extermination duo. Don't worry, you will join them as well soon enough." Shiraga explained and activated his full power at the moment. The stray devil leader, couldn't believe that this child had this much power, wanted to retort, but was instantly cutted down by Shiraga, who instantly appeared in front of him and slashed his neck killing him at the spot. Deactivating his power, he let out a sigh.

"Well, that's about it. Lets head out home." Shiraga looked at the devil bodies that were laying on the ground and shrugged his shoulders and started to walk out of the factory, putting down the barrier at the same time.

"Okay, M-A-S-T-E-R~" Kurayami said in a playfull voice, that made Shiraga let out a sigh at that word.
