E.G.F.W.I? Chapter 23 - Back Home! -

-Sam P.O.V.-

I would say something like nice breath of fresh air, but this place was fun. Ammit and I are a bit despondent.

Our mood gets lifted once she sees Red. I present them as now family.

"Hey Red this is Ammit my daughter. Sorry to make you wait, hope you didn't get bored too much?"

Red "Your daughter? So I wasn't.... AAARG!"

Elnora just appears and elbow him hard to make him shut up.

Elnora-"Who is the mother.. Hello dear my name is Elnora but just call me granny."

Like usual Ammit doesn't say much and hum. She just looks cute on top of my shoulder.

"Her mother is a very powerful monster that tried to eat me, my mind and soul I think."

I say with a genuine innocent smile. The both of them look at each other and she glare at him.

Red-"So, no sex? Don't look at me like that! You won't hide this from me, right?"-

"Tsk, No sex with someone"

(This is turning stupidly awkward)

-Well, we should get going right- X2 Red and Me.

Awkwardness is gone.

"Hehehe Yep, let's go buddy"

Of course, I notice something different about him but not in a bad way. Maybe he matured or something. Enough to look at Elnora weird. She has a good poker face.

Red take his wolf form and before we climb up he finally gained a bit of approval from Ammit. He can change size which is very cool. She has tried and turn into a giant pink ball with a black stub. Useless, but I laughed so hard she kicked my calf.

We bid farewell to mom, and she gives me a pit to plant in the village.

After that we have a nice coaxing ride and flute, we reach the village in a few hours.

To make an' impression on people I ride Red up the plateau and make an' entrance.

By now they're only a few people late. One of then run like hell and jump on top of Red and hug me tight. The other one is standing there, her emerald eyes tearing up with happiness. It warms my heart so much. We get down Red, and I ignore everything about him turning into a humanoid. My eyes are on Tenka. She changed a lot in only two months. She is taller than my memory a bit and her forehead is even prettier.

We draw close, and my awareness tells me about Ammit which is walking next to me. But I need to greet her first.

Once we are a meter apart, I don't stop and hug her. Of course her tear's fall now that the dam is broken. Ammit can feel her too. She wraps her arms and hair around us.

(Right she can lift the mood!)

"Tenka this is Ammit She is our daughter now. The truth is that I've been attacked and the thing left a piece behind which I used my gene to help her become... better. She doesn't need a devourer mother but a real one. If you are up to it. I will also ask Salaba she has the right personality."

Salaba which was on the side was really relieved to ear her name in our first conversation. By the way she jumped at me and steal glances, I think she doesn't want to be alone now that we are back. Being tall seems to be a less desirable trait here. Maybe she is just like me and Tenka. Socially accepted but awkward. Her disposition makes her distant even when close. Nobody takes the time to know her except for her motherly traits. Having equals becomes rarer. And me and Tenka have taken care or her ourselves.

I tell my people now all listening, that I will gather them tomorrow afternoon for a good chat. With that and the greeting's and catching up done, I take Ammit, Tenka And Sal to visit the village and talk.

This place is amazing. The tribe adapted to my style instantly. By style I mean construction, cloth making and even basic tools. Even upgraded what they could, like the seams on the leather clothing wore by the hard working people.

They seem they misinterpret some of the stuff. Like gardening in rocky environment and making a huge open bathroom where you can see... everybody... I shiver I need to fix that asap. They don't have soap, I wonder what they use?

All in all, this is a nice place there is enough room for 500 people if we keep the same fashion. I find it nice, all the cabin's are orderly placed. There is no fences, no roads and not much sense of propriety more people oriented. I will segregate the industrial and scholar places for the future. I don't want pollution to hider the children's and people.

Once the tour is done, we are in front of our new cabin. Bigger than the other's. Sal hesitates, but I grab her hand and bring her in. Tenka really approve since she owes her life to her, and they did not talk much since they came back. Plus Ammit is there with her black and blue puppy eyes. They already love each other. Hehehe, nice, Ammit need that motherly feeling. Something I'm incapable of giving.

So once we get in, I stick Ammit to Sal and like a thief, steal my Tenka away. Of course there is only a thin veil separating the bed, so this is the place. They laugh at my antics.

When we were bit out of sight, Sal was blushing hard. Ammit went and put her hand on her cheek to check her temperature. Giggles.

Meanwhile, I was not doing what they thought I would sadly. I need to check Tenka status. She seems drained. Of course, I know Barabas is in there with Gary. But, I would not send her to battle now, just like me I guess. Sigh. She tells me everything I went through and her. I could not believe I was in an egg. Well something like that.

Lucky for her the solution to her problem is easy. Sadly, we can't do it here. But I think of the best place. Beside the village there are a couple of waterfalls. I grab some ropes, and we climb down the ravine and go the base of the biggest waterfall. Not the kind you train under. The kind where you die if you set foot.

I sit with her on a rock as close as possible. To the raging water's. After Admiring this feeling we get ready for what's next. The difficult part is using my power. I need to view inside her body.

After enduring the information bloating my brain, I get a picture. Nothing too bad. I'm already sweating from the effort. It's like an oversensitive organ that is numb to cope. Khonsu used to handle this part, now by myself is not enough. Still, I can pass a fixed amount trough my arms.

I lay her down and breath in. With both hand's, I massage and circulate my power in her body. I can't see It, but It's not necessary like the fist time. I try to let my power unwrap slowly outside my body in the rock, water and air.

A lot comes out but I don't feel tired one bit. I did not force it to do thing's more like coaxed the river to shift. My eyes are closed so I don't see the pebbles hovering around us glowing a bit. The water is bending and coming a bit closer to us. It feels great. It's like being stuck in a car for day's and finally coming out.

I can feel my body clearly up to a first gate. I feel this won't be the last. This is not what I was with her for, but good to know. I don't sense it, I just imagine the natural energy gently enter Tenka body. My power imitates my coaxing of will and thought. This time is tougher and need more control.

I open my eyes and see the effect of the energy gathered here at the bottom of this ravine. I can see a mirage like on hot tarmac. She seems to gain back her colors so I let my power flow back in. The mirage twists the environment a bit, then after a millisecond of stillness, time restarts. The pebbles fall back, and the water resumes their course.

(Interesting)

Tenka witness this and realized what I am now. Before she can have negative thoughts, I grab her hand and tell her;

"It's your turn to power up now!"

With a smirk, I put my forehead on her forehead.

It's like I'm watching in the window of a cabin, a very small cabin.

"Hey guy's, ready to come out?"

Gary-chippers-

Barabas-"Thank God you're finally here. Not that I hate your little girlfriend or anything, it's just too cramped in here. The only thing to do is talk with her so we got pretty close."-

Gary-chippers-

Barb-"Yeah, I got pretty depressed but thank to her, I have some hope. she believe in you a lot bro."-

"Well, the door's open you just have to step in. Let her rest her mind a bit."

Barb-"just a sec, I need to remind her of a few thing's so another disaster doesn't happen."

We explain thing's to remember and to do or not. Barb and Gary become ethereal and flash in my mind. I can see the bird house blur and turn back to a seed before I pull my consciousness out.

I know what is going to happen, so I retreat a 100m.

Her body starts absorbing trough her forehead, unlike me who had my gonads and other's explode apparently... I sweat at the thought.

I can feel the natural energy like a breeze.

(So, this is what happened to me?)

Barb-("Haaaa this is awesome finally FREEDOM!!!")

("SHUT UP. don't wake up the residents. except you Gary you can sing all you want.")

Barb-("Sorry about that. Just wait and watch. It's far from over")

A vortex form above her head. More and more water gets trapped in it. Until the whole waterfall doesn't reach the floor anymore. The water reaches the vortex a disappear, fragmented and sent in the Tenka body as energy. Water contains pretty much everything an' organism needs to live and more.

Some water comes from underneath trough the rock's and form a ball round her. The water from underground brings a bunch of roots that dips inside the ball. They bring vitality with them. Tenka hair grows and connect to the root's. I feel the wall of the ravine shake. More root's come to touch the ball.

"Elnora! WTF!"

She appear in her classic whirlwind of leaves.

Elnora-"This is not my doing son It's your little girlfriend That did something. Relax it does not seem dangerous for her at least. Those trees, I don't know what will happen to them."

"The trees Hein.. sorry about this, but fuck the trees as long as she is fine. how many trees a human can grow in his or her life."

She really seems to consider what I said. Which prove she value a plant as much as a human hahaha. I'm lucky she took a sane interest in me, shivers...

Elnora-" Seem like what you said hold merit. Beside don't worry they are under her control. I could feel it, so I came fast."-

"Like you're not already spying on me..."

Elnora-"cough.. don't blame this old lady for having fun."-

"Tsk.. I realized I'm losing some things along the way in this world. It's called dignity and privacy. Heck you probably know more about me than myself."

Elnora-"My son, we don't even know ourselves. How can you say in know more about you than yourself. I only feel close to you and want to be closer. That is why I brought you here."-

"What about the demons?"

Elnora-" Nha I don't care, they do good plant food. That was Lydi Idea, Ari's sister. Ari was in of course, But I know these fairies and their stupid training regiment and the dumbass stunts they pull all the time. They are a funny race. I miss Lydi she was fun and the only one that became... Sorry, this I can't share they will tell you themselves."

"Think she is still alive after 20 year's?"

Elnora-" Yeah, I'm sure she is being tortured, to corrupt her. They must try to make her commit atrocities and being sent to hell. Otherwise she would have reincarnated as a fairy again fast. They skip the line and go straight to the fairies domain which they are bound to."-

While we talk, a beautiful ball of water hovers in the background. Root's coming out of the wall absorbing the energy from the earth. The water comes from the sky. I feel it's missing something. Fire and lightning are missing from the elements and ice from the seasons.

"Barabas, how much can you help with casting? The fire chain's since they use soul power it should be fine right?"

Barb-"I don't know about what you will feel, but I can guide the power you send to the chains."-

"Good enough, just wrap one around the Vortex when I say so. Gray, get a patch of snow and phase it in the middle near her body. Both of you I give you the power you need and just focus on staying alive and well..."

I get closer and I'm surprised my power doesn't get sucked in one bit. They said they were weakened when they came near me back then... It's like my power has a personality and only belong to me.

It make me smile.
