"Where have you brought us!?"
"Let us go!"
"My dad's a policeman and he'll throw you all in jail once he finds out about this—"
"Trust me, they wouldn't even find your bodies after we're done with you," Damien smirked and they all shivered at the tone of his voice, huddling closer to each other.
"We did nothing wrong! What did you bring us here for—!"
"Know a girl named Haven Lee?" he asked, taking out his gun and examining it keenly as he turned it around in his hands.
Sophie shuddered seeing the weapon. "T-That bitch is a liar and a thief! Don't believe whatever she tells you—"
A gunshot echoed around the base and the three of them flinched at the loud, unfamiliar noise. They had never thought that Haven would have such connections, considering how they had managed to bully her all these years without no interference.
Damien raised his head, staring them in the eye. "You're from the same orphanage as her, aren't you? My resources inform me that you used to beat her there too. Mind telling me why?"
Sophie gulped nervously, her heart pounding in her chest, as she glanced at the desolate grounds surrounding the area.
Everywhere she looked, eyes filled with loathing and contempt fixated on the trio, piercing their very souls with a seething hatred that sent shivers down their spines.
It was as if the collective glare of those present formed an invisible wall of malice, making Sophie's every movement feel like an intrusion into their bitter domain.
Damien breathed out, slowly crouching down to their level and tilting his head to a side, surveying them sharply. "I have hundreds of ways to make you speak in under 5 minutes. Wanna try them out first before confessing the truth?"
As he gestured towards the table, the girl's eyes grew wide with a mixture of shock and fear, their weary gazes now fixated on the disturbing sight that lay before them.
The surface was adorned with an array of sinister tools, each one sending a chill down their spines. Among the assortment were knives with gleaming, razor-sharp edges, screwdrivers displaying signs of use and wear, sturdy cable ties designed for binding and restraining, and several other devices whose purpose they couldn't even begin to fathom.
Although they couldn't recognize some of the tools, the girls' instincts told them that these were far from ordinary objects. They were acutely aware that these items were not intended for innocent play or mere amusement.
The menacing presence of the implements made it painfully clear that they served a much darker purpose. These were instruments of torture, each one meticulously designed to extract information, to break down the will of the unfortunate souls subjected to their menacing embrace.
The girls felt a wave of apprehension wash over them as they comprehended the gravity of the situation.
Their worst nightmares were realized, and the stark reality sank in—these tools were specifically crafted to elicit pain and suffering, to force individuals to divulge truths they may wish to keep concealed. At that moment, their young minds grappled with the harsh truth that evil existed in the world, manifesting itself in the cold, unforgiving forms of these torture devices.
"P-Please let us go! We w-won't disturb Haven ever again, I-I promise!" Sophie launched herself to the dirty ground, clasping her hands and begging silently for mercy through her watery eyes.
"You should've thought that before you laid a hand on her," Damien said, his soft, warm eyes now glinting with evident malice. "Now suffer the consequences of your actions quietly."
"We didn't know who she was!"
"S-S-Sophie made us do it! We're innocent!" one of the girls spoke and Sophie stared at them, her gaze a mixture of shock and anger.
After everything she did for them; after she made them popular and known, this is how they repaid her? She had nobody to blame but herself for trusting these stupid lackeys of hers.
The door of the base suddenly creaked open, shattering the eerie silence that enveloped the dimly lit warehouse. As the rusty hinges groaned in protest, a thin beam of light sliced through the darkness, casting elongated shadows across the cold concrete floor. Sophie felt a chill run down her spine, sensing that something ominous was about to unfold.
Gradually, the silhouette of a man emerged from the entrance, his presence commanding attention and fear from everyone present. The air seemed to thicken with an unmistakable tension as his heavy footsteps reverberated throughout the vast space, each echo magnifying the weight of his authority. Sophie could practically feel the gravitational force of his power as if he held the strings that controlled every move within this clandestine kidnapping.
As the man drew closer, Sophie's heart raced, her senses heightened by the sheer darkness emanating from his very being. It was as if the shadows were an extension of his essence, intertwining with his every step, giving rise to an aura of malevolence that seemed to consume the room. The way he carried himself spoke volumes—a figure cloaked in mystery, his face concealed by the veil of the unknown.
The guards, usually stalwart and composed, now stood rigidly at attention, their eyes fixed upon the enigmatic figure before them. They sensed his power, his ability to manipulate events with a mere flick of his wrist, and it sent a shiver down their spines.
These girls were doomed.
What suicidal thought made them hurt Boss's woman?!
The trio silently gasped as the moonlight shone on the man's face, revealing his breathtaking features. As much as he was handsome, he looked more like a Devil in disguise than a human. Horror had them frozen as they looked into his cold, ashen eyes to find no emotion stirring beneath their depths.
He wasn't human.
He was a monster they now had the misfortune to encounter in their life.
