This Time Around

Ethan

I leaned back in my chair as I looked through the contracts neatly piled in front of me. The board was going on and on about a new engineering project we had in Wales which they had been planning to present for me to approve for months now.

I was not too keen on the project, I just saw no use of the amount of money that was to be spent on it and we would get little profit from it. Yet they insisted if we went forward with the project it would gain us the community's support which in future could put us as first preference for any other government builds.

It was a lengthy meeting, a boring meeting but a necessary one.

A light rapping on the glass panel of the boardroom pulled everyone's attention and even the man presenting looked at it. I frowned, never liking to be disturbed in a meeting and wondered how in the world had Jacqui allowed someone through.
