Chapter Two- The Guard

Wei Chao woke up in the morning. He felt somewhat lost. He poked around his chest trying to feel anything unusual. He looked into a cup of water to see if anything changed in his eyes. After a while of being confuzzled, Wei Chao concluded that whatever he saw last night was because of fatigue and staying up too late.

His father was out at the nearby dairy shop, he had left Wei Chao's breakfast on the table. Wei Chao sat down and started eating. After finishing, he headed off to the examination center which was in the center of town far away from Wei Chao's house on the outskirts. Wei Chao didn't have a bike like other students so he would walk all the way there holding his equipment in his hands.

Then realized something weird, he could walk without even getting a bit tired. In fact, he wasn't even sweating under the sun's heat. He decided to run and see if he could reach school faster. He seemed to be running faster than he ever could. He was excited at the thought of never getting tired of walking. After about seven minutes he started to feel tired, and he slowed down rapidly. He thought that it must have been what his father made for breakfast. His appreciation for his father gave him more motivation to pass the exam. To brighten his father's name and make him the brightest star in existence.

He started breathing heavily and picked up speed again. That was when he heard a "ding-dong". It was the examination bell. The exam was about to start.

Wei Chao was shocked, "How could I be this late? Even after all that running? Did I really wake up that late?"

He vowed to never stay up so late again, no matter the reason. He picked up even more speed. Countless thoughts ran through his mind. Would he even be able to get there in time? He didn't want to imagine his father's face once he found out. He wanted to know more about his mother. After so much preparation would he really end up like this, failing the exam by not even being able to get there in time?

Tears started to flow from his eyes. After a few more minutes, he was drenched in sweat and could barely stand up. He made it to the examination center's gate. The guard stared at him with a mocking expression and a smirk on his face. That was when the exam bell tolled again signifying the start of the exam. Wei Chao looked at the guard and pleaded to let him in. The guard's smirk grew bigger.

The guard in a low voice said, "Maybe if you get on your knees and lick my boots. I might think about it."

Wei Chao was disgusted at the thought. He bore his father's surname, Wei, and he couldn't let it be tarnished in even the slightest way. But he didn't have a choice, if he couldn't get in his chances at the exam would've been completely gone. That too would bring shame to his father.

Seeing a kid weeping and pleading with a guard attracted many onlookers. Wei Chao now knew for a fact that he couldn't bow down to this guard, not while he bore his father's name. He inwardly cursed at the world and how cruel it was. He vowed to change it, change it in such a way that whatever he wished was a command to the world. He picked up his equipment and turned around to leave.

When the guard saw that Wei Chao was about to leave he walked up to him and kicked his back with all his might. Wei Chao jerked forward and crashed into the road face-first. The pain he felt was like something he had never felt before.

The onlookers did nothing to stop the guard, he was a government employee. That meant messing with him could bring major consequences. They quickly dispersed not wanting to get any more involved.

Wei Chao felt his body lose its power. He found it hard to breathe. He barely managed to turn around onto his back. His nose seemed to be broken and he was bleeding all over his face. Such pain would have killed any nine-year-old child. What kept Wei Chao alive was his will to not bring his father's name any shame. He couldn't die without even fighting back. The guard looked into Wei Chao's venomous eyes, which were staring right into his eyes.

He started laughing loudly and wiggled his arms side to side.

While dancing he said in a proud voice, "What a strong bastard. Hahaha, I wonder what your parents fed you. Looking at your clothes your parents are probably fucking losers just like you. Dirty pigs, eat my snot."

While continuing to laugh and dance, the guard kicked a rock toward Wei Chao's face. The rage flowing through Wei Chao's veins couldn't be described using mortal terms anymore, it was Demonic Energy. It came from not being able to do anything, being helpless when he needed to take an action the most. Not being able to protect his family's name. He slammed his head into his arms and inwardly cursed at the guard.

Before the rock could hit Wei Chao's nose, it suddenly stopped as did everything else. Everything else except for the guard and Wei Chao. Wei Chao's injuries were all gone, he didn't take notice of this even the slightest. As soon as he could move he rushed towards the guard at speeds that were unimaginable to mortals. He arrived in front of the guard in a blink of an eye, the guard didn't even have time to react. Wei Chao bit into the guard's neck and brought him to the ground with his momentum. The guard coughed up a big mouthful of blood. Wei Chao got up and stood before the guard.

"You dare talk about my parents. You're the pig bastard. You're the fucking, you're the loser." Said Wei Chao, as he didn't know many swear words, he used the ones that the guard had used.

The guard didn't dare say anything back, he ran as fast as he could with blood oozing out of his neck. Wei Chao appeared in front of him and jumped onto the guard. He slashed and bit furiously, looking exactly like a demon in battle. The guard let out blood-curdling screams, however, Wei Chao was not done with just that. He stomped on the guard's hand. The bones instantly shattered and became powder. The guard was on the verge of blanking out, but some force kept him from stopping to feel the pain. Wei Chao quickly crushed every single bone in the guard's body.

He looked down at the body of the guard and sneered, "Who's the fucking now?" That word became his favorite curse, it vented out emotion like no other.

Wei Chao then blanked out and the world around started moving again. He was back at the gate, as if nothing had ever happened, and to Wei Chao and most of the world nothing had really happened. The guard was completely wiped out of existence. Anything tied to his existence was erased whether it be memories or belongings.
