Eternal Veins: Bound by Blood and Love

"Why all this darkness?" It has been haunting my mind for an eternity. I've treaded through its depths for a while now, yet I hold onto the conviction that there's always a glimmer of light at the end of every daunting tunnel. I keep moving forward until I finally come across an old castle, its darkness as impenetrable as ever. I recognize this place as the recurring backdrop of my dreams. This is where the vision always halts, the vision that's been with me since I was a 16-year-old girl. And now, as a mature woman, I've decided that today is the day I'll step inside that ancient castle, seeking answers to the mysteries that have plagued me. ..................................... "Now that you know who I am... do you still hold love for me?" His voice is calm, his expression unreadable. "Yes, I still love you," I respond, my heart unwavering. "No matter your identity, my heart remains bound to you. I yearn to spend the rest of my days wrapped in your embrace."

chapter 5-6 what did he want?

Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives. ~ William Dement

"Let's take the next step," I said, smiling at Lucian. "Next move!?" he responded, his worry evident in his voice.

"Yeah, let's have a meeting with all executives, interns, and staff members. I'll gather information and let you know what I figure out after questioning them," I said, offering him an assuring smile. "Okay, let's do it together," I added, ensuring he knew I was there to support him. I knew that Lucian was a strong and determined individual, but he valued my advice and guidance.

As the night descended, I found it hard to sleep with Mr. Lucas's mysterious presence on my mind. Who was he? A friend or an enemy? And why did he want to meet me privately? My thoughts drifted away as I eventually drifted off to sleep.

Once again, I found myself in the realm of dreams. Darkness surrounded me, and I was drawn toward the darkest part of the mansion. A figure stood there, emitting a dark aura. The aura felt strangely familiar, and I moved closer, intent on discovering the person's identity. Suddenly, a roar filled the air, and a hand grabbed my own, pulling me back.

"Why are you here!?" a man with a mask and ancient attire demanded, his voice urgent. "Who... are you?" I asked, my heart racing with a mix of fear and curiosity.

"Just don't go near him!" the man warned me.

As I was about to respond, I was jolted awake by Alicia's voice. "My lady, wake up. Lucian has ordered a driver to pick you up." I let out a frustrated sigh, annoyed at the interruption.

Upon arriving at the security room, Lucian guided me to observe the ongoing questioning of the company members. One by one, they shared their experiences and concerns. Suddenly, someone asked to zoom in on the screen, triggering a flashback to the crystal restaurant.

I recalled the man who had helped me when I stumbled while carrying Alex. He had a distinctive snake tattoo on his neck. My mind connected the dots as I remembered that Mr. Lucas also had the same tattoo on his wrist. It dawned on me that Mr. Lucas might be connected to a spy network.

I interrupted the meeting and called Lucian into the security room, where we were left alone. "Have you found anything?" Lucian asked, his concern palpable.

I pointed to the tattoo on the screen. "These tattoos matter. Who is Mr. Lucas?" I inquired urgently.

He seemed taken aback. "Have you met him?" I nodded in response.

"You have to leave the country now, Jessy. And Father must know about this," he said with a sense of urgency. "What's going on, Lucian? Tell me the truth about Mr. Lucas and the tattoo."

Lucian hesitated before responding. "This is connected to a prophecy. I can't reveal more, sister." His voice carried a hint of sadness.

"Prophecy?" I echoed, my nervousness growing. "Lucian, talk to me about the tattoo."

He attempted to divert the topic. "Okay, Mr. Lucas has the same tattoo as this man."

My worry deepened. "That means he's a spy, and he may be behind the company's financial troubles."

My phone interrupted our conversation. I watched as i answered the call, my expression growing serious. After answering the call, I heard his voice. "It's me . I wants to meet you at DEB restaurant. Be careful, Jessy."

As I heard those words, a shiver ran down my spine. The mystery surrounding Mr. Lucas was about to unfold, and I was about to step into a dangerous game with potentially dire consequences.
