Eternal Veins: Bound by Blood and Love

"Why all this darkness?" It has been haunting my mind for an eternity. I've treaded through its depths for a while now, yet I hold onto the conviction that there's always a glimmer of light at the end of every daunting tunnel. I keep moving forward until I finally come across an old castle, its darkness as impenetrable as ever. I recognize this place as the recurring backdrop of my dreams. This is where the vision always halts, the vision that's been with me since I was a 16-year-old girl. And now, as a mature woman, I've decided that today is the day I'll step inside that ancient castle, seeking answers to the mysteries that have plagued me. ..................................... "Now that you know who I am... do you still hold love for me?" His voice is calm, his expression unreadable. "Yes, I still love you," I respond, my heart unwavering. "No matter your identity, my heart remains bound to you. I yearn to spend the rest of my days wrapped in your embrace."

chapter 24 I am a witch

**"Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight."** - Benjamin Franklin

"Please file this form," the secretary instructed me.

"For what?" she asked, genuinely puzzled.

"I'm suing you," Lucian's voice cut through the air, his words tinged with a hint of amusement.

"Deal," she replied, a mischievous smirk gracing my lips.

**Switching to Jessy's POV...**

"Good morning, Mr. Lucas. I think you're heading out for exercise," I casually remarked.

"Yeah, I'm back already. You're up late," he responded, his attention focused on arranging his files.

"I'll help," I offered, attempting to assist him in his task.

"Thank you, Jessy. And I'm sorry about last night. I have strange dreams sometimes, and I understand if you were worried. You don't need to apologize," he said gently, leaving the room.

As he walked away, his usual cold demeanor remained intact. I continued with my routine, preparing breakfast and feeling a sense of monotony. To break the routine, I decided to bake my best cookies. Just as I started, a servant who often served Lucas approached me.

"I can help you out," she offered.

I realized that being here, even if Mr. Lucas remained distant, was preferable to going back home. The prospect of leaving felt more like returning to a cage now. My friends were here, and even if Mr. Lucas was aloof, I couldn't fault him. Everyone had their reasons.

"Who are you?" I inquired.

Before I knew it, darkness engulfed her, forming a black smoke that emanated from her body. Fear gripped me as she grabbed my hand. The next thing I knew, I was no longer in Mr. Lucas's house. Instead, I found myself in a cold, dark place with the lady who had undergone a sinister transformation.

"Jessy, finally we meet," a woman with white hair, dressed in a black gown, spoke from a black throne.

"Who are you?!" My fear was palpable as I managed to muster a shout.

"World savior!" she proclaimed triumphantly before teleporting a short distance away. She pinned me to the wall, using an inexplicable dark rope to bind me.

"No! No!" I cried out in desperation.

"Am a witch... hahaha," she laughed wickedly, her appearance shifting as her skin changed color. My pleas for help fell on deaf ears, and the other witches appeared as part of the macabre scene.

**Meanwhile, Mr. Lucas's Office...**

Mr. Lucas gazed out at the city below when a sudden appearance broke his concentration. "Gabriel, what do you want?" he demanded.

"I'm not here to cause trouble," Gabriel replied calmly. "You can't just teleport in and out whenever you please," Lucas admonished, his frustration evident.

"Jessy has been kidnapped by the witch," Gabriel informed him urgently.

"I thought you were watching over her," Lucas questioned, concern creasing his brow.

"Lucas, please, we can't waste any time. We need to act quickly. Xavier is already pursuing them. We have to leave now," Gabriel urged, a sense of urgency in his voice.

"And what about the CCTV cameras in your office?" Gabriel assured him. "I've taken care of them. No one will know I teleported here," he explained hurriedly.
