"Come here. My mum mustn't see you. She will freak out, but don't worry we'll be okay." i said holding her hand and dragging her towards my bedroom.

We walked up the grey carpet stairs and past my worrisome brother's bedroom. We walked past the empty room full of regret and made it to my bedroom.

"is this your bedroom?" she asked.

"yeah I'm sorry, I hope you don't mind." i shyly apologised.

i opened the door to dull room. A disappointment, if you ask me. The entire room is grey. It's the one colour i hate in this world but my mum thought i think it would be "cute." as if.

"sit here. I'm just going to open my curtains so i can let more light in. " I instructed pointing at my bed.

"okie." she said sitting down.

I opened the curtains and watched the glorious ray of sunlight reflect off her dark chocolate brown skin. Her coarse black hair had such kink and life to it. It was like i had wandered into a movie scene.I stood in awe of her beauty.

"Are you not gonna sit next to me?" she said tapping the bed next to her.

"oh..yeah." i said completely dazed out.

"come here then." she yanked my hand and i fell onto my bed landing on my butt.

"My name is Jailah. I'm 18 years old. I love chocolate, aesthetically pleasing things and I'm not allergic to anything but i hate tomatoes." she introduced herself.

"My name is Marissa. I'm 18 years old too. I love photography, equal rights and I'm lactose intolerant. Call me Mari."
