Elara and Darius, despite having bought me as if I were a commodity, were treating me well, and that made me happy. I dreaded the thought of suffering at their hands.
Of course, I would much rather be free. After changing clothes and taking a bath to wash away the grime of the journey, I went downstairs to the mansion's dining hall for dinner.
There, I began to understand the situation a little better. One thing I had noticed within their residence was the lack of any other slaves, which was strange.
'Would they buy only me? I don't see any reason for that...' I thought.
During dinner, I came to understand my situation fully, and honestly, it wasn't bad. However, there was a slight problem.
"You must be wondering why you're here and why we bought you," Darius said while sipping his wine, staring intently at me. "First, understand that we didn't buy you, but rather your services. You will be free after helping us."
