Chapter 16: Elijah's Confession.

On the red-clothed table were plates of Grilled Fillet Mignon with roasted vegetables, Chicken Piccata with creamy mushroom sauce and Seafood Pasta. All these meals had the double of them except the Grilled Fillet Mignon. Red wine in a bucket and cocktails beside their meals.

"I don't like vegetables." Elijah answered when Cassandra asked why there was only a single plate of the Grilled Fillet Mignon.

"Ah, you like meat." She laughed when he nodded. She picked up her cutlery and joined him in eating. He ate very healthily, and she liked that about him. Cassandra hadn't been on a date since the last failed one with her ex-boyfriend two years ago. "This is nice." She chuckled as she brought the cocktail to her lips.

"It is." He rarely looked down at his food as his eyes were all over Cassandra's face and her expression. "Do you have a boyfriend, Cass?" He asked and watched her eyes widen before she lowered them.
