Cause Havoc [II]
He placed the magazine on his bedside table and turned his eyes towards her, placing his head an inch away from her. His eyes seemed even darker than the dark night sky that Hazel could see through the window.
"You don't believe me?" he asked.
There was a bit of mockery when she rolled her eyes and answered, "Why should I believe a person who has lied to me?"
He raised his eyebrows and said, "Why not? A man had once abandoned you but you came back into his arms again, didn't you?"
"He only did that because he had to," she pouted.
"Well, the same goes for me," he whispered softly, as if he was only talking to himself.
She sneered and said, "You deserve it." She suffered through so much hardship and misfortune ever since he met her. It was unfair that she was forced to help him while he controlled and fooled around with others.
