35. Kiss Death?

"So you expect me to kiss a demon or ghost or whatever you call it, just like that?" Lili questioned after hearing what he had to say.

"No...I can't do such a creepy thing" She refused.

"This is a matter of your safety, life, or even death! So you can't be narrow-minded. With a Grim reaper on your heels do you need to think twice?" He questioned.

"It's just a kiss and nothing more... Don't act naive, you've kissed more people in your life!" The voice snapped.

"But ...." Lili hesitated" It's a ghost...and I haven't kissed one...it feels odd... Isn't there another way?"

"A kiss on the cheeks certainly won't do much impact as one on the Lips, so we need to go with the one on the Lips"

"You should be lucky that he's in human form and perfect timing for it, Once you kiss him, that's all. He'll simply get his memory flowing back and when that happens, he'll be taken out of this Earth to who knows where, Because a Grim reaper can't have a memory of his past life..."

Yang Lili seemed busy Enough sitting in her office while working on the pile of flies stalked before her.

It was approximately Nine in the morning and she had recalled coming to the company as early as seven in the morning, and she had been working since then without any rest

Worst still, she hadn't had breakfast yet!

Lili was exhausted but she was persistent in the work. She knew she couldn't back down, especially not to That ghost!

A knock briefly came on the door as she looked up "Come in"

A lady had walked in with more files. Lili gasped, this could not be happening!

"CEO Li had asked me to bring this over to you to sort out" She had carefully placed it on the table.

The lady had met Lili's exhausted gaze on the files. She had taken pity on the poor Lili who had been working all morning.

"Mrs. Li... Aren't you going to take a rest first?" The lady sympathized.

"No" Lili was quick to answer" Leave it here and leave" She instructed as she continued with the files before her.

The lady knew she couldn't convince her, so she turned and made her way out.

Lili stretched out herself. This wasn't what she wanted when she was fighting for the position of CEO!

She wanted to flex around with the glory while someone did the real work for her. Isn't that what being a CEO nowadays was?!

But here she was being a dedicated one. She wasn't going to spare him!

It was only a minute after the lady had Left, The door was pushed open again.

Lili looked up to see who was bold enough to have barged into her office like that.

"Mrs. Li!" TangTang panted after rushing in as he handed her his phone "It's a call from CEO Li's Mum" He explained.

Lili accepted the phone. Clearing her throat, she put it over her ears. "Hello mum"

"Oh My Lili, You left work this morning and didn't even take your breakfast, have you eaten yet?"

"Oh...yeah...I had breakfast Already" She stated.

"Oh... that's good, That's good. I tried calling your line but it wasn't connecting" Mrs. Li said as Lili looked over at her phone she had turned off to avoid distractions.

"Oh...I ran out of battery energy" She explained.

"Oh. I see. Well, what I wanted to ask was if you were free to come home early today in the afternoon. The thing is that My late son's burial has been set for tomorrow, so we have to make quick preparations today. So I was wondering if you could return"

"Oh... about that...I'm sorry but I'm extremely busy, I don't think I can make it. " She stated.

"Oh . Are you sure you can't take a leave or something?"

"No...I'm the CEO now, so I can't simply abandon important works...But don't worry, I'll try my best to return home earlier...Okey .. Bye then" She said cutting the line and then handing the phone over to TangTang.

TangTang who stood opposite her had slowly accepted the phone with a little bit of doubt written all over his face.
