Unless it encounters a completely obscure chess variation, the software can usually crack it."

An astonished Debby Sutton inhaled sharply, her eyes widening at the revelation. "This software could render you virtually unbeatable, couldn't it?"

"Well, it wouldn't stand a chance against truly exceptional grandmasters, but for someone like Alger, it should suffice," Basil Jaak answered with a casual smile, massaging his temples. Turning towards Sutton, he pondered aloud, "The real conundrum is how I could possibly consult the software during a live game."
