Raymond was confused as to how Ariana's mum coming over would make her act the way she did.

Casey looked at him and understood the questions that were running through his mind.

" I know you must be wondering how her mum's visit could make her act like that right?" 

He nodded his head, which meant he was curious.

She sighed as the flashback of what happened earlier enveloped her.

*Flashback*

" Come on, the driver is waiting for you outside" Mrs Lambert said as she led them outside but instead, they bumped into someone.

" Happy birthday Ariana" the woman said as she stretched out a present.

Ariana looked up. She hoped it wasn't who she thought it was.

" You" she cursed as she looked up to see Mrs Wilson smiling from ear to ear at her.

" What do you want from me?" She asked, angrily.

" Oh come on, is it now a crime to come see my darling daughter on her birthday?" Mrs Wilson asked.

" Yes, it is a crime if you're coming to see that daughter with hopes of getting some money from her"

Mrs Wilson sighed, she had just being caught.

" And what's wrong with that? Don't I have the right to your money?" She asked.

" So I guessed right!!" Ariana chuckled in pain. " I thought you'd changed mum, but it's obvious you're still the same Mrs Wilson I used to know. Only caring about the money" she said, in pain.

" You caused it Ariana, you should have just come with me when I first came here" Mrs Wilson defended herself.

" Oh really, I should have come with you. Can you tell me if you would have wanted me to come with you if it was a dead?" Ariana asked.

Mrs Wilson looked away, of course she wouldn't come if Ariana was dead but since she was still alive, she needed to claim some rights on the money.

" Your silence proves Mr right again mum. For once today, can you prove me wrong?" She stepped back. " You don't care about me, you only care about the money"

" That's not true Ariana, I.......".

" Zip it mum, zip it. I don't wanna here a word come from that foul mouth of yours" Ariana said and made to leave.

Mrs Wilson chuckled, " if I have a foul mouth, then what do you have? You know that if I am to tell everyone present here about your past they'll hate you" immediately Ariana heard that, she halted. She could tolerate anything but she wouldn't tolerate the hatred and disgust these people would feel for her if they were to find about her past.

" You want the money right? I'll give you the money" Ariana said.

She put her hand into her purse and brought out some money.

" Here you go, now get out" Ariana said. " Bear this in mind mum. For what you just did, You've seized to be my mother. From now on, you are just my father's divorcee" Ariana said and left angrily.

" Ari hold on" Casey said as she chased after her.

Mrs Wilson chuckled, she didn't care what Ariana thought of her. The only thing that mattered to her was that she had the money. She waved it in the air, hissed at Mr and Mrs Lambert before leaving.

*Back to present*

" That's it. It really upset Ariana" Casey said.

" But, you're her friend, her best friend at that. You should have tried to talk to her" Raymond said.

" I tried but she just wasn't willing to talk to me. When she felt I was bothering her, she stopped the car and boarded a taxi to school" Casey said.

" I can only imagine what she must have gone through after her mum did that to her" Raymond said, empathically.

" Yeah. Sorry about her raising her hands to you" Casey said.

" Hmmm. At least now I know she didn't slap me because I rejected her the first time" Raymond said.

" Hmmmm. Can I ask you a question?" 

" I'm listening"

" Do you really love Ariana?" Casey asked.

" I do. I really do but it's a shame that she doesn't feel the same about me any longer" Ray said, running his hands in his hair.

" What If I tell you she really does and she only wants to confirm if you really do" Casey said.

" Really" Raymond was excited. " Thanks Cassandra, thanks" Raymond said.

Casey looked at him, her plan worked. She did this to know if Raymond truly loved Ariana. If he didn't love her, he wouldn't have come with her to know why she reacted the way she did. She smiled, her friend had just found the right guy.

" Alright then, I'll be on my way" Casey said as she stood.

As she was about to leave, Raymond stopped her.

" What's Ariana's secret?" Raymond asked.
