Encounter: The Rising of Luna

Eratonium, the most precious and powerful stone of the whole realm finally chooses its owner, a young eighteen-year-old werewolf girl who doesn't know anything about it and the evil world revolving around her. She has to find her rightful mate on her own and crack the mystery of her pack's destruction and her parent's disappearance. This is the story of her journey from being the weakest to the strongest Luna, her journey of falling, betrayals finding her rightful mate, and being able to protect the werewolf world. Disclaimer: This is a werewolf story but also has a lot of magic involved in it. As this is fantasy story, I would request readers not to search for facts. It's solely the imagination of my mind. Please don't forget to vote with your power stones cause it's an Eratonium for me and comment on the story. That's a motivation. Have a nice reading. Thank you!!!

The more curious, the more mysterious

Chapter 7

Kimberly's POV:

I wipe away the water on my face with my hands as I hardly stand on my feeble legs. But it's not her. I see the huge built man standing right in front of my eyes.

I quickly cross my hands to cover my chest. I don't have anything on my body apart from my skin and I have never been in a situation like this.

"What the hell are you doing over here?" he growls.

No! No!

It can't be him. This voice. I can't even rethink this moment with him.

"I-I…," I can't continue the sentence. I am prohibited from looking at his eyes but the fear inside me is so much prevalent that my eyes enlarges instead of shutting down. My feeble legs start to disassociate from my stand making me almost sit in the water but he grabs my shoulders before I fall.

"Didn't you hear me? What the hell are you doing here?" he shouts making his sound reverberate in the whole place.

Wasn't Ashlyn supposed to be here? Why is he here?

"I-I came for w-washing w-with A-Ashlyn," I stutter so much. I try to look away from him but I can't. One of his hands finds its way to my chin pressing his fingers one more time. My chin pains one more time when he digs in the same place as before.

"Wash? Do you want me to believe that? Why would Ashlyn help you wash you in the first place?" he grits his teeth in fury.

I can see how the shades of his eyes change darker when he sees me. He's infuriating.

"A-Alpha… I am telling the truth," I try to tell him.

"Truth… I less expect that thing from you. Are you here to attack me? To kill the Alpha on your first shot?" His rude voice doesn't stop penetrating my heart while his hands continue penetrating my skin.

"No…No… I didn't. I just…," I look behind at the door to see if Ashlyn is coming but the door is closed.

He removes his hands from my chin and holds my other shoulder too but his grip is so strong that it makes my whole body shudder with fear and pain.

Ashlyn! Where are you? This heartless guy can kill me at any moment.

"P-Please believe me," I let out a low voice with my eyes full of tears. He stares at my eyes for some seconds. I see the changes in his expression. Does he believe me?

But after a few seconds, a cocky smile lingers on his lips and the grip on my skin increases like he is trying to hold my whole body with his hands.

He slowly walks down the stairs of the pond taking the weight of my whole body with that sinister and constant evil smile on his face.

What is he going to do? Is he… Is he trying to kill me?

My body panics as he walks backward toward the center of the pool. I kind of get the hints of what he is going to do to me.

I don't know how to swim. I have never practiced it before.

"A-Alpha… What are you going to do? Please… don't kill me… Please," I bed him for life but he keeps on walking back towards the center of the pond.

He promised me not to do anything to me for the next seven days but he isn't following it. How could the ALPHA break the words of his own?

I pour out in tears in front of him but the value of tears in front of him is priceless. In about a few minutes, he stands in the center of the pond with his hands still on my shoulder.

He lets out an aggressive mocking laugh one more time and leans towards my ear.

"Believe someone? I did once and that person almost destroyed my whole pack. Do you think I will make the same mistake again by believing you?" he sniggers.

My heart beats out loud like it is going to burst at any moment with his scary nearness. After saying those words, he gets back to his place and slowly starts to loosen his grip on my skin.

"No…No… I cannot swim…please," I beg one more time but that doesn't make any difference in him.

He...finally loosens his hands from my shoulders and pushes me into the water. I see that same smile when he pulls me away from him in the water.

I fall back into the water. I can see his tall legs walking away from me unclearly.

I don't understand how someone can leave others to die like that. Beta Simon said that his Alpha was a man of his word. Then, why? Why did he do that to me?

Did he pretend to be nice in front of his pack? Did he show them that he was following the rules while the only thing he wanted to do was kill me from the beginning?

I try to cry out for help but the only response I see from the world is the bubbles inside the water.

"Kim!" I hear the voice. The same voice called me before. The voice of my mother calling me but it's not possible. How can it be?

"Kim!" the voice calls again.

I move my head around in the water to check if that is my mother. I am aware deep within that it isn't possible but the illusioned faith inside my heart wants to believe that it's my mother. I want to believe that she is here with me, just beside me trying to save me and nurture me with her immense, selfless love. I want to believe that she is here with my father standing right beside her.

I tend to close my eyes but suddenly a bright pink light flashes in front of my eyes. The pink dot slowly is coming towards me. Its size increases as it comes closer and closer to me and that pink color seems more lighter while the white color starts to enlarge from its centre.

Am I just dreaming? Why am I seeing the weird things in my life? First, it was the Moon Goddess and now it's the fire inside the water. The fire is just the size of my hand. I lift my hands to touch the fire, to see if it is real or just my random imagination.

I feel hotness when my fingers are close to it and the moment, I touch the flames of it, I see the image of someone appearing in the water. Slowly the flames fade away and instead of it, I see a vague figure of someone I know.

"M…other," my eyes fill with emotions as I see her face. How long has it been that I haven't seen her face?

I float to hug her but as I reach close to her, the same hotness of the flames is felt on my body.

"Mother….it burns… Why isn't this letting me get closer to you? Mother! Please, let me come to you," I look at her eyes.

She looks ethereal. Her beauty is the same as always, with godliness in it, and her smile is never-ending peace. Her face glows as she smiles and her eyes glitter with joy. She looks astoundingly beautiful just like she is always. Her wavy long black hair floats in water along with her body.

"Kim!" she calls me. Her voice was magical and her melodious even amid water, bloated but still sweet.

So, it wasn't my illusion. It was her, it was my mother.

"Mother… How did you find me? Let me come to you mother. Please… You see the stone you gave me… It made me go through all of this," I show her my wounds, my bruises. She looks at me pitifully as if she is going to tear right at this moment.

"Mother… where is father? Didn't you bring him along with you? Please take me away from here, mother. These people only want to kill me. Please, Mother let's go home," I beg her.

"Kim! My child! Listen to me. Your father and I, have something left to do. I promise we will be back to see you once we are done with everything. Till then, promise me, you will be safe. Promise me, that you will live. Promise me that, no matter what happens, protect that stone within you. You protect that stone within you and when the time comes that stone will protect you. It has chosen its rightful owner. You have to protect it at any cost and don't let others know about it," she says. She smiles just like the Moon Goddess, beautifully and divinely.

"But mother….," Before I can say anything more to her she starts to fade away just like the Moon Goddess faded away in front of my eyes.

"Mother… Mother… Don't leave me alone…Please," I call her but it is of no use. After she is completely gone from there, my neck starts to suffocate all of a sudden.

I hold my neck as the breathing starts to get difficult. Mother has told me to live at any cost. I have to live… I have to live.

I try to flip my arms to get to the surface of the water but they are useless without any skills. But then. I see someone swimming towards me. It's not a light or anything weird like before but it's a human.

Someone is swimming towards me as I faintly close my eyes. I see his face as he comes closer to me. It's him… Again…

The Alpha… Asher…
