The Roads We Never Walked

Saw a dream,
Decided to make it come true;
But soon realised,
Success comes only to a few.

Life is short,
Had to take a different lane;
Learned to keep on going,
Without that sort of fame.

The forces of nature,
To them we had to heed;
But found happiness in places,
The ones we never seeked.

The other things which could have happened,
About them we never talked;
But always occupy our minds,
The thoughts of the roads we never walked.
