Great Sacrifices Were Made

A ray of hope was granted,

Great sacrifices were made.

Good times sat awaiting,

A reason to celebrate.

A day later had He descended,

It might have been too late.

Gave a new direction for world-making,

Or it would have been consumed by hate.

Shown goodness is within each embedded,

Doesn't matter the time they date.

When away happiness seemed to be fading,

For the better things were changed.
