"Ethan Montgomery couldn't help but burst into laughter, a sound rich with genuine amusement. 

He'd never seen her quite like this before—her innocence and bashfulness reminiscent of a young girl sneaking around for a secret date with her boyfriend in middle school. 

"What's so funny?" Avery Miller frowned, her annoyance palpable. 

Why did he always seem to find amusement at her expense?

Avery's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, then bloomed with joy. 

He was acknowledging her as his wife!
