chapter 2 fireworks

I thought I was definitely busted and he would ask the guard if he recognized me but Chris told him that he hasn't seen any princess around here.

After the guard left I sighed and then looked at Chris with a questioning gaze.

"So your name is Elizabeth not princess Elena right" Chris said.

"Hum... Yes of course, do I look like a princess". I stuttered.

"Well you don't.....actually....you look like a queen to me" Chris said and I blushed so much that am sure my cheeks are really red like a tomato by now

"So princess oooo am sorry Lili shall I escort you so you won't get caught" he said

"huh... Okay, I mean how did you know"I said

"I put two and two together you really aren't the best liar you know"he said

I don't know why but I liked that he found out the truth. 

Well he showed my around and I loved it. He gave me a scarf to cover my face and avoid been noticed by the palace guards. Then he took me to a lake . I could see so many people standing near the lake and watching the sky as if waiting for something to happen.

"What's going on" I asked Chris

"well there is going to be fire works to end the festival" he said simply.

I was so happy to hear that I would be able to see the fire works. My parents never let me go to see the fire works cos as usual they would say it's too dangerous. 

I woke up from my day dreams wen the fireworks started. It was beautiful just like flowers in the sky.

"Have you never seen fireworks before" Chris asked

"yes, my parents never let me go see it" I blurted shyly.

"Well now is your chance so enjoy"he said and smiled. 

As we watched the fireworks I couldn't help but feel like someone is watching us and as if Chris read my mind he whispered to me that we need to get out of here.

I followed Chris silently until I heard someone call my name but It was so faint that it could be mistaken for the wind. 

"Wats wrong Lili " Chris asked

"Hum... Nothing I just thought someone called my name" I said.

Then his eyes looked a bit confused and I don't know why but he said we needed to get out of there fast.

Chris held me and began to run fast but not too fast as to not hurt me, but then something made me trip and I fell and something that seemed to be a net but its made of grass and it seems to be moving on its own carried me ND trapped me.

I called out to Chris feeling scared at the sudden change of situations. Then I saw a man come out from the shadows. 

He was tall with what seemed to be silver eyes and dark hair just like Chris but his hair was just above his neck so not as long as Chris.

"We meet again prince Christian Joey veist" the stranger said. "Again" I whispered to myself.
