New Environment, New People and New Routines

We walked through a few hallways before entering the dining hall, it was the size of a stadium with ice chandeliers of different sizes hanging from the roof top.

The table in the middle was so long it looked like it could hold the entire Kingdom which was probably the actual reason it was there.

There where three people, a couple and one who looked around my age, they were occupying some of the seats on the table, the woman had long red hair with green eyes and pale skin, the man had black hair, brown eyes and besides them a boy.

He looked just like the couple with red hair, dark brown eyes and equally pale skin, just like the woman. When they saw us, all three stood up to acknowledge our presence and did a slight bow which our parents returned.

Honestly, I felt so weird cause I had no idea what I was supposed to do.

Then my father spoke up and said

'Kids, these are King Roland and Queen Yvonne and their dear son, Prince Aiden. He is also one of the first born who went to the human world and came back just just a month ago.'

' Nice to meet you',

Aiden said and stretched out his hand supposedly for us to shake it.

I obliged to this gesture and shook his hand saying,' Nice to meet you too'

Then the others shook him while exchanging pleasantries.

'If you are a part of the gifted ones that would make you an air element, right?'

Iris asked but she already knew the answer so continued,'Since there are only four left and we...'

She said pointing at herself, Zayn and I

'...already know our elements and air is the only one left.'

'Yes I am. Nice to meet someone who catches up easily. I know I didn't.' Aiden replied with a smile on his face.

'Well...what can I say... I guess I'm just a good listener.' Iris responded also smiling.

We sat on dinner table, then after a while the door opened and five people came in.

One of them kind of look like Zayn with the same blue eyes and dark brown long wavy hair, she looked about 14 years old, wearing a cream colored, off-shoulder, high-low gown that reached her knees at the front and flowed backwards to her heels.

The gown was complemented with gold heels, necklace and bracelet, including a tiara with the water emblem on it.

There was also another girl who looked just like Iris and the exact same age, wearing an orange ball gown with spaghetti strap that hugged her upper body and flared at the waist to reach the knee length.

This was complemented with black heels and silver jewelry and a tiara with the fire emblem on it. Beside her was a boy about ten years old wearing a suit identical to Iris' father.

Also with them, was a girl who kind of looked like me, the same blue eyes and blonde hair but was about 13 years old wearing the same dress as my mother and a similar tiara also having an ice emblem on it. Beside her was a boy about 15 years old wearing a blue suit with white trousers.

They all entered gracefully and bowed, when they looked up, they scanned the room and each of their faces lit up as soon as they set their eyes on us.

To say they looked overjoyed or ecstatic was an understatement. It looked like they could fill the whole room with their happiness.

That's when my father decided to speak

'Christabel, Adrien.'

My father called turning to the girl who looked like me and the boy beside her before he continued. 'This is your elder sister Amelia'

He said looking at me.

I kept staring at them with wide eyes, I was so shocked, I tried opening my mouth to speak but then closed it immediately.

I had no idea what to say, I mean what do you say to your sister who your just meeting for the first time in sixteen years.

Then Christabel spoke, 'It's nice to finally meet you. I've been dying to see the day you come back, we have so much to catch up on.'

She said enthusiastically.

'Umm... Yeah, nice to meet you too'

I replied, uncertain exactly how I was supposed to react.

'Hey' , Adrien said,'I hope you like it here.'

He stated giving a genuine smile which helped calm me down.

'Thanks, I hope so too', I replied.

King Sparks of Flare kingdom - Iris' dad was the next to speak. He turned to Iris with a smile on his face then said, 'Iris, meet your twin sister Irene and your younger brother Max'

Iris smiled while she looked at them then said,

'Hey'

'Uhmm... Hi', Irene said

'Sorry, it's just weird after sixteen years of my life, I finally meet my twin sister',she spoke nervously.

'At least you knew you had a twin sister, I honestly don't know how to react right now'

Iris said slightly laughing which Irene saw and returned with a giggle.

Then Max spoke, 'Its nice to meet you. I hope you're a lot nicer than her.'

He said pointing at Irene.

With that, Zayn and I burst out laughing, then Zayn spoke,

'Sorry kid, you're out of luck. Iris is anything but nice.'

'Yeah Max. Don't get your hopes up'

I said commenting on Zayn's words.

Irene giggled and Iris looked hurt and said,

'Hey! I can be nice.'

'You. Impossible', Zayn and I said at the same time before bursting into a fit of laughter.

'Whatever', was all she replied.

After we had finished our fits of laughter, King Aquarius of the Aqua kingdom - Zayn's dad spoke,

'Zayn, this is your younger sister Pearl.'

'Hey, you look a lot different from what I had imagined', she said with a thoughtful look.

'Oh really?', Zayn asked and she simply nodded.

'Tell me, do I look more handsome than you imagined?', Zayn asked.

'More ugly actually'

She said simply with a smug smile on her face.

We all burst into fits of laughter.

'Oooooh, that must have that ego of yours, didn't it Zayn?', Iris said while everyone kept on laughing.

Zayn looked at his sister and said

'That really hurt you know?'

'I know', she simply replied.

That's when Queen Zena - Zayn's mom spoke,

'That's enough Pearl, be nice to your older brother.'

'I'm always nice', she simply replied.

'Of course you are.' Zena murmured.

During dinner, we got to know more about ourselves, our kingdoms and our responsibilities. We were going to start training the next day, so that night everyone stayed in Glacier kingdom - my kingdom.

Before I went to bed, I spent some time with my siblings and got to know them better.

Christabel - Chrissy as I call her, told me a lot about herself like her hobbies such as ice skating and how she loves reading romance novels whenever she's not doing her royal training or attending to royal duties.

Max loved the role of the king and luckily for him, according to the tradition of Glacier kingdom, the first son apart from the first born will be crowned king.

This is because the first borns are in charge of protecting the kingdom and have no time for royal duties.

After listening to some stories of Chrissy and Max's time in the kingdom and mine in the human world, we went to bed.

The next day, I woke up so comfortably, I looked round the room, I didn't really concentrate on the design last night.

The room was painted crystal blue with slight strips of cotton candy pink, with a queen sized bed in the middle.

It was unusual waking up in the room but I knew I would soon get used to it, afterall I would be staying here for the rest of my life.

As I stood up, I found a short blue outfit complemented with a black high waist leggings.

On the gown was a note which read,

"My lovely princess Amelia, this is your combat outfit for training today. Breakfast is at 8am, don't be late.

Love, Mom."

'Wow', I said touching the outfit.

'So this is my combat suit... Its kind of cute.'

I looked at the time on the wall clock and saw it was 7:15am.

I quickly freshened up and got into the combat suit and wore flats because I definitely wasn't going to fight in heels.

It was 7:32am when I was done, so I decided to explore the castle a bit before breakfast. As I stepped out of the room, I met two maids.

'Good morning princess', they both said as they bowed.

'Good morning', I answered,

'Could you show me around since there's still some time before breakfast?'

'Of course'

One of the maids answered,

'There's a map of the castle that indicates your position and how to get to a place in every corner.'

'Thank you', I replied with a smile then started walking through the hallways.

I walked through the numerous hallways with only one thought in my mind...

New things are just a step ahead.
