But Aria did not feel the type of anger to lose control, she felt oddly calm as she unfolded the note and read.
The note ran as follows,
"It seems that we made some kind of mistake and you are the real daughter of the queen. Come seek us if you value your friend. We will guide you.
---Night warriors"
Unlike the previous message, this one was hand written.
"Guess they're not worried about the members being found out anymore. They don't suspect I will show the note to anyone. Well, I guess they are right." Aria mumbled to herself and flew down from the wall and calmly walked back towards the mansion.
The grounds around the mansion were still in a chaos. People were moving about, asking each other if they found something. No one really paid attention to Aria among all the hub hub.
Aria stood in the grounds for a while and closed her eyes. She opened them after a few seconds and walked inside through the front doors.
Aria walked straight towards Helen's room and went in.
She walked upto Joseph standing in the middle of the room and put a hand on his shoulder.
At first Aria had decided to go without telling anyone, but she had decided against it after some thought. Aria had finally come to the decision to tell Joseph, and ask him to keep tabs on her and follow her if she did not return after a certain period of time.
Upon feeling Aria's hand, Joseph turned around.
Aria was taken aback to see tears flowing down from his eyes. It was the first time she had seen Joseph cry. No one really cried at the academy, it was considered a sign of weakness, no one knew why.
Upon seeing Aria, Joseph jerked her hand away and wiped his eyes.
"What do you want Aria?" Joseph asked in an emotionless voice.
"I've thought of something. I wil. . . ." Aria began, but Joseph cut her off.
"Must be nice, huh Aria." he spoke, his voice still emotionless. "Must be nice to always think of yourself. Never have to think about others. It must be so relieving." Joseph finished his sentence, looking out of the window.
"What do you mean?" Aria asked, her voice dangerously low.
"See, you're still only thinking only of yourself. This is all just a huge opportunity for you to play hero. All you want is always to attract attention to yourself! Show off your might! You don't really care about Helen, or Jacob for that matter. You've never cared about them!!" Joseph shrieked.
"I. . .I don't care about them?" Aria asked, her voice on the verge of cracking.
Joseph looked at Aria, scoffed and said, "Of course you don't. Who is Helen to you anyway. She's nothing to you. Probably just a stepping stone. The same as me."
After saying this, Joseph turned around and walked to Helen's study table to stroke a book written in Braille on her table.
"If you really cared about them, you wouldn't have let them sneak away like that." Joseph mumbled.
He was so engrossed in looking at the book that he did not notice tears start to streak out of Aria's eyes. He also did not see her clench the note of the night warriors in her hands and run out of Helen's room.
