Ch. 35 'Nishian Kingdom'
"Around twelve years ago, a group of elementalists invaded our country and killed everyone there. Only time controllers have escaped successfully. It was only because our queen, The Time Master, froze the world's time for twenty minutes, so we managed to escape with our water bending."
"Water bending?"
"Truth be told, Time-controllers does not have any elemental energy. But the queen implanted a most suitable elemental seed that could be juxtaposed with our own energy. That was water energy. Sad to say, it takes ten years for the seed to activate after being implanted in a time-controller's body. Don't you know any of this?"
"No. Practically, I don't know where I come from. My twin brother and I were found in an orphanage when we were five. We remembered nothing aside from our names. So, it's the first time I heard about the Nishian Kingdom."
"Oh, sorry to hear that." replied the girl felt sympathetic towards Niken. "By the way, my name is Xiao Xiao."
"My name is Niken."
"Niken? The name doesn't look like it comes from Nishian. So you're not from Nishian? But why do you have the time-control energy?"
"That... I'm sorry. I have no idea."
"Ah, I'm the one who should apologize. For a moment, I forgot that you had amnesia. I was just too excited because, after all this time, I finally met my fellow time-controller. Certainly, besides my sister."
"Your sister is also a time-controller?"
"Yes. She is also a time -controller. We were both looking for other time-controllers who had escaped during the attack. We want to get back together. But even though we found some, they refused our invitation. They prefer their lives now." Xiao Xiao said sadly.
"Looks like you really want to go back to your country."
"That's right. I'm sure others think the same thing if they were not that coward. Our country was beautiful with the ocean surrounding it, along with any flowers planted along the street. The king and queen were also very kind to us. The prince and the young princess also was good-natured. The prince loved to tease the princess, who was much younger than him, but they both loved each other.
The king and his family have never looked down on their people. For the king, there was no status in his dictionary. Everyone was seen as equal by him."
"I could see that you respect your king very much."
"Of course." said the girl with twinkle eyes. "But," then Xiao Xiao's head bowed sadly.
"What's wrong?" asked Niken, who felt Xiao Xiao's sadness.
"Tragic moment happened twelve years ago. It happened very quickly and horribly."
"Oh, no. What happened?"

About twelve years ago, there was a country called the Nishian Kingdom in a hidden Island. Not many people know about the existence of this kingdom.
It was led by a king and queen who are loved and respected by their people, which are not up to a thousand people. Even so, the country was very prosperous and productive.
Every twice of year, the king would disguise himself as an ordinary person and go to the land on the other island for several days to expedite.
The king wanted to find a lot of knowledge from various countries that could be beneficial for his own country.
The king disguised himself and did not spread the existence of the island and his kingdom. There were some reasons why the king and the queen did not want their nation made known.
One of them was a lethal reason.
They couldn't let the Elementalist Knight claim their people as inamorata. It would mean a death penalty for those inamoratas.
Once an Elementalist knight fused his energy inside a time-controller, the two forces would fight each other. The longer the fight, the spirit would become dark energy that damage the astral dimension.
In less than two months, the dark energy would destroy the astral dimension, forcing the soul out and leaving the body. It meant unavoidable death.
Sadly, no one knew about this. Even Nishian people didn't know about this. Only the King and Queen knew.
Unknown to them, Niken was now dying at this very moment.
