Richard sat pensively by the lake, leaning against the tree that Aurora had just grown.
After talking about his unusual condition, Aurora decided not to kill him and noticed a suspicious change in Richard's attitude.
"Shall we make a deal?"
"What deal?"
"You can watch over me as long as you want. The moment you start to feel a change from me, I will let you kill me when the time comes."
Aurora contemplated the suggestion and thought of Richard's deal as a win-win solution. Richard had the opportunity to have a new life, while Aurora would supervise the young man's development before Richard turned eighteenth.
"Alright. I won't kill you now, but that doesn't mean you are free from harm. The person who sent me is much stronger than me, and he won't let you go once he finds out I didn't complete my mission."
"That's enough for me."
