Chapter : 5 Making Way From The Forest

Under the brilliant, azure sky, the sun hung high, casting its golden rays upon the lush forest below. A gentle breeze rustled through the leaves, infusing the scene with a vibrant, lively atmosphere. The forest seemed to hum with the symphony of nature's sounds, accompanied by the cheerful chirping of small birds that flitted between the branches.

Amidst this serene backdrop, the focal point of the scene shifted to a majestic waterfall. Its waters cascaded gracefully, creating a soothing, melodious sound that filled the air. The sunlight danced on the water's surface, creating a dazzling display of sparkles.

Suddenly, from the depths of the crystalline pool at the base of the waterfall, a man emerged. He emerged without a single garment clinging to his glistening, tanned body. His wet, obsidian hair flowed with the breeze, and his every muscle was honed and defined, glistening in the sunlight.

With graceful steps, he strode out of the water, his bare feet making no sound on the soft, mossy ground. As he reached the edge of the pool, he reached for a pair of pants that lay nearby, adorning himself with them.

Then, as he turned to face the viewer, his once seemingly lifeless visage transformed into one of striking handsomeness. His jet-black eyes, like twin orbs of mystery, held a captivating allure, and a mischievous glint danced within them, adding an enigmatic charm to his presence.

As he walked toward the wooden pile ready to be burned, a little spark of electricity provided by Kayden started the fire. He sat down, placing the meat on sticks for cooking over the fire.

"It should have been at least one and a half months by now," Kayden said as he watched the sky. "I guess it's time to leave this forest," he said as he stood, walking back to where his pants were placed before, and picked up a pouch that looked more like his upper clothes.

As he came near the campfire, he sat down and opened the pouch, revealing five small gray orbs.

"What are these?" Kayden said as he picked up a small orb obtained from killing those white wolves. "There's some energy inside, but..." As he examined it carefully, he pondered, "Should I crack it open like an egg and cook it?"

While he was busy examining the orb, the smell of the cooked meat brought his attention back to food.

"Well, first, food," he said as he put the orb back on the cloth.

Burp!

As he finished his meal, then stood up and picked up the mysterious orb. He carefully rolled it within his clothes and secured it at his waist.

With a sudden bend of his knees, he leaped high into the sky, effortlessly floating like a feather. As he gazed below, surrounded by an endless expanse of trees, he muttered, "I can't even see the end of this forest."

He descended back to the ground with a thud. Determined, Kayden took another leap, this time propelling himself forward at high speed, skillfully jumping from one branch to another, forging a straight path through the dense foliage.

The small animals in the trees were startled by his swift sprint. As time passed, Kayden came to a sudden halt.

Swoosh!

Once more, he soared into the sky to assess his surroundings. He turned gracefully, searching for a way forward, and spotted a gap between the trees in the distance.

Zap!

Without hesitation, he leaped from the sky, landing on the trees and sprinting from branch to branch, getting closer to the elusive opening. Occasionally, he launched himself high into the air to confirm he was heading in the right direction.

As he continued his sprint, Kayden eventually reached the ground at the edge of a massive, deep rift. He peered down into it, a shiver running down his spine.

The sight before him was eerie and unsettling. The rift resembled a dried-up riverbed, but its darkness was foreboding. Vines and plants had claimed this forsaken place, and the roots of the surrounding trees clung to the rift's walls, adding to the ominous atmosphere.

Ahhhhh.....

Amidst the eerie silence of the rift, a sudden, piercing cry echoed through the air. It was a sound that distinctly resembled that of a human voice.

Kayden's heart raced as he strained to pinpoint the source of the cry, his senses heightened by curiosity.
