*ding*

Item Name- Map of the Emerald Forest(Altered)

Rank- N/A

Item Description- "An altered map of the Emerald Forest."

He looked over the map as it had a large red circle drawn over a large white area on the map. 'So we have to go the Wanderers Fog in order to finish this mission.'

Corporal Carson looked over the map before putting it away. "Alrighty we are only a days away and the journey back will only take two and a half days. Hehehe this is easy peasy, I normally hate scouting missions."

The blonde haired man rubbed his hands together greedily befor me heading to the rest of the guards. "MEN! It's time to move out, we have days journey ahead before we can head home and rest. You've rested enough now move out in 5 minutes!"

"YEEEEAAAAAH!"

The men shouted happily when they found out this long boring mission is almost over. They gathered themselves quickly and got into formation.

Camelot saw the men gathering up to leave but didn't spot Tru. He ran over to the spot where he had left Tru and saw him laying in the ground napping.

"Hey…uh…Tru? We are about to leave." Camelot bent don't and shook the sleeping man till he woke up.

"Why must you people SHAKE me to wake me up?!" Tru grumbled as he stood up and stretched. Camelot bowed quickly before pushing towards the Zil Guild members.

The group hiked through the Emerald Forest at a medium pace. They continued at this speed for four hours. The green sea was quiet, except for

Tru continued walking through when he had a thought and turned to Camelot. "Hey Camelot, I'm sure you've been on lots of scouting missions. You don't find it weird that not a single magical beast has attacked or shown up?"

Camelot walked a bit before stopping, his face full of thought. His face was determined snd turning red as time went by that he could be called an apple. Tru gave him a strange look as his color changed.

Suddenly the color returned to Camelots face and he continued walking. "I do not know, all I know is every scouting mission with Corporal Carson has gone off without a hitch." Camelot turned and looked at Tru with a straight face.

"Though it's because he hates scouting missions, says they have too many variables." Tru shook his head at Camelot's explanation.

"Yeah I guess makes sense…but still just a bit weird to me. I've never been on too many scouting missions myself." The group kept going for another two hours with out rest when it fell close to dusk.

"Awoooooooooooooooo"

"Shit what was that?! Men defensive formation!" Corporal Carson panicked as he heard the noise and gathered his men in a defensive flank. The formation had the men , all wepons out and shields up, in a a circular shape.

Camelot and Tru found themselves in the middle waiting for what happens next. Not long after a large grayish-brown wolf emerged fro n the thicket of tree.

The wolf had long white canines that shown as it bared its teeth. It's yellow eyes started at the group intensely.

Description: "A white wolf magical beast with low magic output. Usually found in groups."

"It's a White Wolf, it's alone but be in your guard!" The corporal shouted as his men readied themselves for an attack. The lone wolf came forward growling staring at the group.

Neither party moved a inch and stared intently at one another. The White wolf pounced and launched itself towards the men. Corporal Carson quickly swung his sword and severed the neck of the white magical beast.

The head rolled into the trees as the tense air lessened and the men relaxed. "Ahaha see Corporal you were worried for nothing. Boy, come and remove this mess!" Private Bronson laughed heartily while patting the anxious Corporal on the back.

Eventually the rest of the guards followed suit and put their weapons away. While Camelot ran started to harvest the lifeless corpse. He brought back the hide of the White Wolf as well as a it's Rank D magic core.

The only person who seemed to be in edge was Tru as he nervously looked around the forest. "Oh don't be so worried you won't die HERE today, I promise you." Corporal Carson taunted Tru and gave him a sly smile.

The guards sneered at the comments Carson made when a white wolf jumped out from behind the trees and tore off one of the guards arms.

"AGGGGHH-"

The guard screamed but it didn't last long after another White Wolf jumped out and ripped his throat. His death was quick as the wolves leaped towards another guard.

"Quick there's mo-"

"Hel-aggggh"

"No no no not me please!"

Move wolves jumped from. The trees and quickly dispatched several guards. Corporal Carson wasted no time, with each swing of his sword he killed injured if not slew several wolves.

'O knew something felt off, why would a wolf whose normally in a pack attack a group by itself.' Tru looked down at the Black Bracelet before running and hiding behind some trees.

"No need to make myself a hero, plus if these wolves kill Carson I can leave Scott free." Tru smiled a devoid smile as he waited for his olan to unfold. Though contrary to his expectations Corporal Carson was holding his own, easily at that.

Tru became frustrated a the sight before him, it was utterly annoying. Carson was covered in deep blue mana but his armor was dyed red from the beast blood. Each swing cut down a wolf but it was replaced by another swiftly.

"Men help me clear-" Corporal Carson stopped fighting to issue orders when he realized it was only him and Private Bronson left of the Zil Guild guards.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

A loud monstrous howl echoed through the forest so much that they had to cover there ears. "Quick Bronson to me!" Corporal Carson held his head as Bronson stumbled to make it over to him.

The private ran a few yards when a blast of air hit him and sent him flying across the ground.

"What was that? Tru watched as Bronson struggled to get up.

"I don't know." Tru jumped a back as he failed to realize Camelot was right next to him. He was surprised as he didn't see him move next to him.

"How the hell did you get here?"

"You ran so I just followed you."

Camelot gave him a thumbs up before looking back at the struggling guards. Corporal Carson turned himself around in a circle on edge after seeing the Aero magic. He ran over to where Bronson laid and guarded him.

"Grrrrrr. Awooooo"

The White Wolves encircled the two men, their yellow eyes full of frenzy. Shortly after a massive white wolf with green eyes and black claws emerged from the dark of the forest.

Tru and Camelot saw the Albino Dire Wolf and held their breath. They could see Carson as he took up his stance ready to fight when his eyes locked on them.

"Tru, what do we do?" Camelot asked nervously while Tru stared intently in silence. He looked on as the wolves and Carson readied themselves.

"Absolutely nothing, just watch."

"Oh ok." The young man turned to Carson who was till looking at them and gave him a thumbs up.

"Tch what the hell?" Corporal Carson became confused at the display when a White Wolf jumped at him. He cut it down quickly with is sword as the others ran towards him.

The tired and bloodied warrior fought as White wolves littered him from all angles. Some bit into his hand, others his shoulder. One wolf came and bit his knee causing the corporal to drop down.

"Awooo"

The howl sounded like a death call as it hit the. Corporal's ears. He patted heavily trying to catch his breath, waiting for the final blow to come. He waited but nothing came, his vision was blurry and he blood loss grew from his injuries.

"I don't think I'm going to make it but at least Bronson will be able- huh ?! Where's Bronson?!"

He looked all over and Bronson was nowhere to be found when he saw white Wolves dragging a body away. Corporal Carson's heart filled with fear as it was Bronson being dragged.

He mustered up what strength he had but fell to the ground. His conscious fading to black.

"…bron…son"
