The next three days were just like any other for Reima atleast, he spend his free time practising the Crystalline Prison spell. Of course he was able to cast it within a couple hours but the Crystal Cage was a weak imitation at best. The spell was probably one of the more difficult to cast, it required precise placement, a powerful Mana condensing Formulae so whoever was trapped couldn't just shatter it and a small time to prepare it. As the Crystals erupt from the ground in a similar fashion to Impaling Crystal Reima needed time to prepare the complicated Formulae and push it into the ground. He could just cast the spell with his foot but that proved to be extremely difficult when he attempted it, the better option was to use a catalyst but there was not one strong enough to not break under his immense amount of Mana. Needless to say, Reima lacked fine control over it, the Formulae needed to cast Sorcery generally needed a lot of magic to be cast so there was some leeway. His propensity to overpower everything also increases his Pyromancies power so it's not all negative, his magical reserves always increased after every use of his mana causing any control he gained to become redundant, this was mostly due to his body adapting and improving itself to suit his needs and while useful in the lands of Lordran where power was everything it seriously limited the variety of his magic.
For this reason he'd tasked himself with training his magical control, he already had the tools to do so being the Meditation taught to him by Geralt, a wide empty area that allowed any accidental magical mishaps and time. It would be a long and ever-present journey but as long as he stayed on top of it Reima thinks he'll manage.
Reima wasn't the only one training in these three days, Solaire had stepped up everything to max intensity, if he wasn't constantly training his Miracles then he endlessly sparring with the Chaos Servants. Everyone knew the reason for this and so didn't complain when they were called upon, it was a massive honour for them to be even partly included in the subjugation of Lord Gwyn.
Finally after the distillery was nearing it's completion Reima sat nearby, closely watching the process to retrieve the vials at a precise time. After grabbing them he leaves the best looking ones off the to the side while preparing a few vials for experimentation. First should be the Hell Kite Drake, he' previously tested it with his own cells but he wasn't sure whether or not this was due to the part of the flesh of the dragon reacting badly to him... He pulls up his previous "prepared" samples of, you guessed it, Blood, Skin, Semen, Hair and flesh. He starts releasing tiny droplets of the Mutagens to fall into each of them. Immediately Reima can tell this is a failure, if he wasn't sure before he definitely was now. The skin samples immediately burst into red scales which expanded so quickly they shattered the vial, hair burned, blood boiled and flesh seared... The only thing left uneffected was strangely his semen but he didn't know what to make of that.
He incinerates the failed results before storing away the Hell Kite Drakes original Mutagen, no reason to destroy it if it might have a use in future.
Next up he does the same with the Basilisk components, he divides them all up and provides more of his own samples to match the larger variety of these Mutagens. Unfortunately almost all the of results are failures, the skin cells always turned black, hair crumbled into stone fragments, semen turned into a white powder and the blood melted the vial... The only Mutagen that didn't have any drastic effects was the one distilled from the Petrification Gland, this is good news as this one is the most likely to confer some of the Basilisks more unique abilities onto Reima. After conducted a few more tests on it he sets it to the side, satisfied that it'll either provide benefits or no changes at all.
He looks over to the remaining Mutagens, Seath and Kalameet... He grabs the latter first as he's extremely apprehensive about the effects of the Primordial Crystal that might still be present, even despite Kalameet's apparent humanity induced corruption. The process continues again, the dragons flesh and scale Mutagens are introduced to his own samples, he puts them up on the table and watches the various interactions.
He's so focused on the reactions that he doesn't notice Quelina scuttling into the room behind him, she looks at the vials and realises what he's doing. She watches patiently, intrigued at the process.
The results... Vary, it seems that the humanity effecting the dragon has only encroached as far as it's scales, not ever affecting the flesh, this caused the scale Mutagens to be wildly different, even while using the same sample. Humanities ability to cause drastic mutation baffles Reima yet again, what is so special about it that allows this to happen? The blood samples, turn into mini black slimes reminiscent of the ones he fought in New Londo, hair became black worms, flesh and skin rotted and worst of all, his semen grew into small black fetus shaped creatures... He immediately destroyed every failure, party due to his fear that those Fetus creature may actually be his offspring...
Quelina continues to watch in awe, isn't this just like magic? The wild results had her guessing the next results as if it were a games show...
Reima uncomfortably looks at the dragon flesh distilled Mutagen results, he heaves a sigh of relief when he sees traditional results that aren't living nor reminiscent of unborn babies... The flesh seems to have had no effect on his own samples, this is good as there are no drastic changes but also slightly disappointing... It visually has had no effects, even looking at them closely he doesn't see anything changing. He'll have to inject it to see if he gains anything.
He leaves the black dragons flesh sample next to the Basilisk's gland one and looks towards Seath's samples. However a voice coming from behind him makes him jump in surprise, "This is ever so interesting! This is how you saved me, isn't it?"
So yeah, I didn't really intend for this to technically advocate something political as the Mc basically just aborted a pile of unborn fetus... As I don't really have a stance on the issue please just take it as it is.
As always, if I missed anything please let me know.
