"The qualifiers from ground 5, 2, 6, 3 are Abraham Sanyu, Gurmit Singh, Diana Dominique, and Crispin Cronk. They are the four semi-finalists, one of them shall reach the final and snatch the trophy from right in front of our eyes. So, we shall announce the match up right after a short break, please be seated gentlemen and women", said the announcer moments before he left. Adellah noticed that Edwin was still in the washroom, or she thought he was. "Afia I am going to go and check on Edwin, he is taking too long. He might have lost his way I am going to go and find him". "I will keep the seats until you guys come back, be quick," said Afia while Adellah was leaving.
Adellah went to the end of the venue, that's where the washrooms were. "Ducere Edwin", in this spell you place your wand in the palm of your hand, and it points to the thing that you are looking for. She followed the direction where the wand was pointing and noticed it did not get to the washroom but passed by it. The wand was leading her to ground 2, she understood what it meant. 'This boy Leaving without telling me first, he is going to get an earful when I get to him', said Adellah in exasperation. She followed the wand's directions and right before she was about to enter ground 2, the wand started to change directions pointing in every direction every few seconds. This confused her greatly as she didn't expect anti-navigation spells to be put in the venue. It was supposed to be free from them as children or other people often get lost in the crowd. So, she put her wand back and entered the ground, she was overwhelmed by the number of people that were present here. She quickly began searching Edwin before the semi-finals began.
MC pov
Edwin slowly tried opening his eyes, he had a severe headache and felt like his head was about to burst off. After opening his eyes what welcomed him were iron bars. He was captured and he knew how or who did it. So, he looked around for now to find a clue or object that would help him free himself. But before that, he tried 'Alohomora' on the lock, and was met with an unsurprised result. The locks were enchanted to resist anti-lock spells and similar types of magic. As house-elves are better at wandless magic they could easily open the lock. So, they probably enchant it to resist this type of magic, thought Edwin.
He looked around and found a lot of magical beasts in cages. From the corner of his eyes, he could also see some humans were trapped in cages. They were wearing rags and looked extremely tired, probably due to hunger. He tried to start a conversation to know about this place or who captured him but was disappointed with the lack of action from the captives.
He looked around and found beasts that were described in the fantastic beasts' book, he knew everything about them starting from their food habits to how to tame them. He also saw quite a few unknown and dangerous-looking monsters, which looked like they could break out of the cage any second. There was this monster that looked like a yeti but was red in color and had a fire burning in its arms. It looked quite cool and dangerous at the same time. There was another beast which he had never seen before and was the biggest beast he had ever seen before. It looked like a snake, a HUGE snake that was golden in color and had its eyes covered. The most surprising thing about that snake would be that it was floating in mid-air. This beast looked divine and truly exceptional among all the other beasts.
There was this cube that contained a bubble, inside the bubble, there was a dark parasitical magical force that was floating and trying to break free from the bubble continuously. It looked ominous and was the only box that was separated and had matagot guarding it. They were large black cats with huge glowing eyes. While looking I had an idea from the book 'magic and beasts'. It was a book on how to communicate with the beasts and understand them. I looked for a willing beast to communicate to escape from this place, and found a thunderbird staring directly into my eyes, 'guess I found my first target'.
"Loquora Animalis", which let you talk to beasts as the only spell I knew that could come in handy in this situation. Even though this was a handy spell it had its flaws, it was basically a one-way communication, which meant I won't understand a thing if they do speak. "Noble beasts and creatures, I am Edwin Ashborn and I hope to seek your aid and provide the same if necessary", as I finished saying it I looked around and a lot of beasts staring at me with awe, fear, disdain, and anger. I was waiting for the thunderbird to do something but instead, it just ignored my entire existence and went back to sleep. It kind of pissed me off being treated by a bird-like that, but just waited patiently for the beasts to do something. I waited for some time and nothing, absolutely nothing happened and now all the beasts were ignoring me. "What the hell, you stupid beasts what is wrong with you", I screamed in my outburst.
"Son of Ashborn--------are--------have to show them--------". I got scared to death when I heard these broken words inside my head, it was like someone was directly speaking to me but the conversation was happening inside my head. I got frantic and started to look around to find the magical beast who communicated with me. To my surprise, I was met with eyes covered in black cloth of the huge flying snake.
