The Terrifying Night in the Morgue

In a medical school, there was a tradition to educate well-rounded students. Every semester, for the final exams, a student had to spend a night alone in the morgue. Although this examination method seemed inhumane, the school authorities had persisted in it.

This time, it was the turn of Amy, who had always boasted about her courage. Amy considered herself brave and even wrote ghost stories for forums like CatPaw, delighting in scaring internet users. She had claimed not to take this test seriously, but when the school announced it was her turn, she broke out in a cold sweat. After all, spending a whole night alone in a pitch-dark morgue with no lights was no small feat.

That night, Amy was brought into the morgue, and the door slammed shut with a resounding thud. The room was instantly plunged into total darkness, and she couldn't see a thing. Amy huddled in a corner, shivering at the thought of being surrounded by the deceased. Her scalp tingled with fear.

After a while, moonlight streamed in through a small window, and in its faint glow, Amy noticed something unexpected - there was a mirror on one of the morgue's walls. Encouraged by the sight, she started to sing in front of the mirror. She sang and sang, all through the night, until morning.

The next day, with a sore throat, Amy was brought out of the morgue. She proudly told everyone that it was no big deal, just a minor challenge for her. Her classmates admired her bravery, but then one of them asked why her throat was swollen. She explained that she had sung in front of the mirror all night and had just stopped this morning. The room fell silent, and Amy couldn't understand why. After a pause, one of her classmates, with a pale face, finally told her...

"There was no mirror in the morgue at all!"
