The Alarming Discovery

The alarm clock ticks away every day, making a sound like "tick, tock, tick, tock." The alarm clock is placed on the bed, right next to your head.

Yaji and her boyfriend also keep their alarm clock on the bed. Every night, when it's quiet and late, it goes "tick, tock, tick, tock."

One morning, Yaji noticed that she had lost several patches of her hair, as if something had nibbled on it. She was alarmed and immediately thought of the alarm clock.

In the evening, Yaji cautiously said to her boyfriend, "The alarm clock is quite annoying when it's on the bed at night, making so much noise. How about we get rid of it?"

Her boyfriend looked at her with surprise and hesitantly replied, "I got rid of the alarm clock a long time ago... Did it eat your hair too? I didn't say anything these past few days because I didn't want to scare you."
