A Troubled Household: Encounters with the Supernatural

My family has never really known peace. Over the years, my second uncle, grandfather, grandmother, and grandfather passed away, and I battled a severe illness that made me feel like I was on the brink of death. In recent years, things have started to improve.

During that year when my health was poor, I visited Mount Kongtong and bought a string of prayer beads. At the time, I was in my final year of high school and had disagreements with my father over the school he chose for me to attend. In a fit of anger, I threw the prayer beads along the rafters in the house.

That night, I had a dream about a white-faced female ghost, and my consciousness told me to be careful because a ghost had come. In my dream, I was in the same room where I slept, and everything was as it should be. The ghost appeared right in front of my face, which frightened me so much that I screamed with a trembling voice, waking up both my mother and father. They asked what I had been shouting about, and I was shaken.

According to them, the sound I made was nothing like a human voice; it was similar to singing in a Peking opera but not exactly. I felt that something was wrong. Maybe I brought the misfortune upon myself when I threw the prayer beads.

So, that night, I couldn't close my eyes. My mother held me while I slept, saying that I was like a child. The next day, I returned all the prayer beads to Mount Kongtong, and since then, I've never experienced anything like that again.
