DxD: Transmigrated as a mob in Khaos Brigade

"Introduce yourself!" The smile that had been steadily developing on Eric's face began to slowly disappear, and he became incredibly solemn, which made his face appear even more menacing when it was in the shade of the lighting. "Hello, my name is Eric Kingsley, and I will soon turn sixteen years old. I work in the medical sector of the hero faction and live an ordinary, quiet life every day." Eric went to the DxD universe, where he was reborn as a human equipped with a unique piece of sacred gear called [Twilight Healing]. Even though he worked as a healer and possessed a unique and valuable piece of sacred gear, no one paid him any attention because of his weak body. When he couldn't figure out how to pass the level, he activated the mind-reading system. Not only was he able to read people's memories, but he also had the ability to earn rewards! From the memories of the people he had healed, Eric learned about the hidden dangers of the DxD world. He decided to become a weak mob in the medical division so that he could become unbeatable in the supernatural world as soon as possible. "I know you are powerful; battle me!  I will show you that I am the most powerful white dragon empress!" A ravishing woman with silver hair and azure wings accused Eric. "I'd appreciate it if you could show me how to cast that barrier spell. I've never seen anything like it; you must be a genius, " Eric was followed by an adorable witch with blonde hair and sparkling eyes. "Let's make kids, Eric nya~" A vulturous woman with massive cleavage kept harassing Eric. "You are powerful. If you defeat Baka-red, I will grant you any wish you have."  "Fuck! Can't you see, I'm a mob! Boss Cao-Cao save me," Note: This fic is based on "Reborn as a Anbu Torturer." So the plot progression would be very similar to it.

chapter 8

"Eric, I'm sorry to say that life in the medical sector is so dull. I don't suppose you are experiencing any issues with your physical health at this time. Why don't you become a member of our team and work in the support role? Because I am a core member of the [Hero faction], I have some authority that I can use to get you to join my side; thus, what do you think?"

Sincerity shone through in Arthur's words when he expressed his continued concern for his childhood best friend.

"There's no need for it; I'm perfectly content working in the medical sector."

Eric was adamant in his opposition.

"Hmm..."

Arthur gave Eric a thoughtful look before moving on. Because they hadn't seen each other in a very long time, they found it difficult to communicate with one another when they finally did.

"Being a medic suits me perfectly. Even if I'm in better physical shape now, I'm still just an average human being."

Eric tacked on one more sentence in a hasty fashion.

He was afraid of the random ideas that Arthur would throw out there.

One must be aware that Arthur is already one of the big players in the [Hero faction]; he is the one who wields Excalibur and Caliburn, the most powerful of the holy swords.

Given that he is just marginally weaker than Cao Cao in terms of raw strength, it is only logical that he be seen as a powerful figure within the [Hero faction].

Who knows how much weight his word carries, despite the fact that he is still merely a core member and not the sub-leader of the group.

If he was indeed transferred

How was it possible for him to read memories without being distracted?

He has no interest in going to any other departments or places besides the medical division.

"I understand."

Arthur gave a subtle nod and did not insist.

He added,

"If you feel bored at the medical division, simply let me know and I'll help you."

"Thanks."

Eric gave a small smile and nod of his head before pursing his lips.

The warmth of the supernatural world made itself felt to him through Arthur's words.

Since he came through, he has been serving in the medical sector in his current role.

Whether it be the surroundings, the ability to heal, or the ability to read memories, all of them had a leaning toward the evil side. And during the entire day, he was bogged down by these unpleasant feelings.

Even the individual with the most impervious willpower would be gradually influenced.

Not even Eric was an exception to this rule! It's almost as if people who were born with positive personalities will progressively transform into more negative versions of themselves if they are exposed to a bad atmosphere.

The sudden entrance of Arthur seemed to open Eric's eyes and bring him to the realisation that.

The supernatural world isn't all gloom and doom; there are some positive aspects to it as well.

"I don't see why you're trying to be so nice to me," Arthur stated while flashing a grin.

"We haven't seen each other in a long time, after all."

Even Eric got in on the fun. It took some time, but eventually, he came to appreciate Arthur's companionship and acknowledge him in his own heart.

"Where do you live now? I will often visit you in the future." Arthur asked.

"I live in the bay area, in the headquarters dormitory." After giving it some thought, Eric eventually answered, "Because of the work I do, you need to quit looking for me. I'll have food when I can get out. Let's meet if there's a chance."

"This..."

A very little twitch could be seen in the corner of Arthur's mouth.

He hadn't expected Eric to offer such a strenuous meeting format, but he accepted it and replied, "Okay."

"I will go back first."

Instantaneously, Eric got to his feet.

It had been far too long since he had been at HQ.

He complied with the request made by Captain Marsilio and came out to eat.

because at this point he is finished.

It was not in his best interest for him to continue being there.

After all, he was involved in healing, and as a result, he has come into contact with a great deal of sensitive information pertaining to the evil that the [Hero faction] committed.

Additionally, this does not take into account the information that he acquired from memories he read, as Captain Marsilio is unaware that Eric possesses such vast knowledge.

It has to do with the things that Captain Marsilio directly communicated to Eric.

Marsilio, in his position as captain and investigate torturer, would undoubtedly think about whether or not his subordinates would leak the information to the outside world.

"I'll take care of the bill."

Eric took his fat wallet and gave the money to Isami.

"It doesn't take so much..." Isami gave Eric the note she had found on the table, smiled, and then took the remaining sum of money, which she was supposed to give back to Eric.

"Both of them should be counted."

Eric has a lot of cash on him at the moment, so he can easily afford to feed his siblings.

"Okay."

Isami gave a small nod before handing back the money, but not before first deducting the cost of two meals.

"Eric, you..." It was a surprise to Arthur when Eric offered to pay the bill on his own initiative.

"It's hard for me to come out, so let me pay."

Eric gave a friendly smile to Arthur.

The experience of seeing the anime left him with a favourable opinion of Arthur. He was a humble man who desired to live a life of humility, but fate had other plans for him; he was meant to become the most powerful human of his era.

Now that he had arrived in this world and had the chance to form a friendship with Arthur, he was quite excited.

Therefore, asking a buddy over for a meal was nothing at all to worry about. In addition to this, even Eric is not sure when he will be able to come out the following time.

After placing the remaining cash in his hefty wallet, Eric turned away from the restaurant and walked away. Just as he passed Arthur, he paused for a while.

"I hope everything works out for you, Arthur. You have a beautiful sister."

Eric modulated his voice ever-so-slightly in order to ensure that only Arthur and Le Fay could hear what he was saying.

"What?!"

When Le Fay suddenly heard such words and her cheeks blushed, it was an extremely vivid scene to see.

"Of course! My sister is the best."

Arthur bragged about it and said it without even catching the underlying message of Eric's words

(Scene Change)

Following then, Eric went without glancing back at Isami's curry, leaving the two of them and gradually fading into the dark night.

Meanwhile, in Isami's curry shop

"What are you laughing at?" Le Fay inquired with a pout on her face.

"No, no, I'm not laughing... I am just happy; see, even Eric agrees that my sister is the best."

Arthur's grin vanished as quickly as it had appeared, and he straightened his posture in an instant. whereas an overwhelming amount of happiness flooded his entire being.

"Humph!" To alleviate the embarrassment that was occurring right now, Le Fay snorted in a cute and charming manner.

Eric's remarks, on the other hand, kept coming back to her like a hen pecking at her heart, and the Pendragon princess eventually found that it was too much for her to bear.

"Brother."

"What could possibly be wrong with Mr. Eric? "I get the impression that he's not quite normal,"

Le Fay regarded Arthur with suspicion as she voiced her concerns.

It was the first time she had seen Eric, as well as this other boy who appeared to be either her age or a year older than her.

However, there was a sense of foreboding in the air, and despite his young age, he exuded a level of composure that was unusual.

Arthur cast a thoughtful glance towards the direction that Eric had gone. The look on his face suggested that he was feeling somewhat powerless.

"[Hero faction] is not a kind place; this is a faction run by degenerate morons who think they are the best, so naturally they have arrogant characters, and I think Eric realises this as well, and the pressure to perform well as a medic must be too great for him. That is why I extended an invitation to Eric to become a member of our group; we have a need for a healer, and we have already struck a deal with the White Dragon Empress, which means that we will soon be leaving the Hero faction."

Arthur elucidated things in a sombre manner.

Le Fay had a naive look on her face because she didn't really comprehend what her brother meant, but she did enjoy the company of the white dragon empress and the members of her crew. So it was something she was looking forward to.

"We have no choice but to go forward for our own good, even if doing so means betraying our race."

Arthur exclaimed. Even though Arthur was a part of the [Hero faction], he was more ambitious than they were, and he wasn't foolish enough to embark on a killing spree against all supernatural beings.

That is the very definition of committing suicide.

"Eric is a good friend of mine; I've lost him before, and I don't want him to die when there's a chance I can save him."

Arthur whispered to himself, "Vali would most certainly welcome him if there was someone who could heal her so that she could fight more,"

A friend who is willing to assist another friend. That is a worthy endeavour to support. However, Arthur was unaware that by exposing Eric to a crazy battle lunatic, he would be bringing an enormous amount of chaos into Eric's life.
