Chapter [195]

"Excellent work, Riser," said Ajuka, his voice filled with approval as he observed the fallen hybrid. He knelt beside the unconscious creature, his hands emitting a soft glow as he used his magic to keep the hybrid in a suspended state, preventing any attempt at recovery or escape.

"This prisoner might be the key to uncovering more about Rizevim and his allies' plans," Ajuka continued, raising his gaze to meet Riser's eyes.

"Thank you, Ajuka," replied Riser, his voice calm but filled with pride.

Ajuka, satisfied, nodded and then stood up, extending his hand over the hybrid's body.

"I'll take him for interrogation. With some luck, he'll provide the information we need."

A magic circle began to form around Ajuka and the hybrid, illuminating the space around them with a vibrant light. "Keep up the good work, Riser," Ajuka said before activating the teleport.

In an instant, Ajuka and the hybrid disappeared, leaving only a residual glow in the air. The sound of the teleport lightly echoed before being absorbed by the silence that followed the chaos of the battle.

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

The sound of clapping began to echo through the destroyed street, growing in intensity as more devils approached. "Long live Asmodeus-sama!" shouted one of the devils, raising their hands in celebration. Soon, others joined in, their cries of "Asmodeus-sama! Asmodeus-sama!" echoing through the streets as they fervently applauded.

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

Riser observed the devils surrounding him, his name being chanted with almost religious reverence. The expressions of adoration and gratitude on the faces of those who had witnessed his victory filled the air with palpable energy. He could feel the aura of mixed respect and fear, something that sparked a curious and amused sensation within him.

'Being adored like this... it's a fun feeling,' Riser thought, a slight smile appearing on his lips.

The devils began to come closer, many taking pictures with their devices, wanting to capture the moment with the Maou who had just saved their lives.

"He's incredible!" exclaimed one of the devils, their eyes shining as they took a photo of Riser with their device.

"I can't believe I'm seeing Riser-sama up close!" said another, their voice filled with admiration as their fingers trembled while posting the photo on DevilNet.

"Just look at him... so powerful and so handsome!" commented a third, her tone almost dreamy as she captured a selfie next to Riser.

Riser, maintaining his imposing posture, allowed the devils to approach, watching with curiosity as they took photos and frantically posted on DevilNet. The feeling of being the center of all this attention was new but not unpleasant.

'Shouldn't they be worrying about the injured and the ones trapped?' thought Riser, observing the devils around him.

Looking more closely, Riser noticed several injured devils among the rubble, some severely hurt and unable to move. There were cries and groans of pain coming from all sides, muffled by the debris covering them. The city was still filled with panicked devils, many trapped under piles of concrete and wood, desperately trying to free themselves.

"Help... Someone help me!" cried a devil, their voice weak as they desperately tried to free themselves from a fallen beam.

Another devil, with their face covered in blood and dust, extended a hand from beneath a pile of debris, their body almost entirely buried. Their eyes were wide with terror, the pain in their expression almost palpable.

It was then that a magic circle glowed in the middle of the devastated square, and Latia Astaroth materialized, accompanied by two other young devils, Lara and Mirai. The three seemed determined, their eyes immediately focused on the injured around them. Latia, with her serious and determined expression, quickly moved to the first group of badly injured devils.

"Let's help the injured!" Latia said, her voice filled with urgency as she knelt beside a devil who was gravely wounded. She began using her magic to stabilize him, her hands emitting a soft, healing glow.

Lara and Mirai also got to work, using their magical abilities to remove debris and assist those who were trapped.

However, as soon as Latia appeared, a wave of boos and insults began to echo among the crowd of devils gathered around Riser.

"Get out of here, you slut!" shouted one devil, their voice full of anger and contempt. "Traitors! We don't want you here!"

The tension in the air increased, and the hostile glares that had been nonexistent now turned toward Latia and her companions. Even as they helped the injured, the murmurs of hatred didn't stop, the boos growing in intensity. Latia maintained her composure, but it was clear the insults were affecting her.

Riser, observing the scene, realized the boos were disrupting the rescue efforts, and he couldn't allow the situation to worsen. He stepped forward, his presence immediately capturing everyone's attention.

"Dimitri Astaroth was one of the traitors," Riser declared, his voice firm and authoritative, cutting through the noise of the boos. His piercing eyes scanned each devil in the crowd, imposing a tense silence. "But his family has nothing to do with the betrayal. Latia and her Peerage don't deserve this treatment."

Riser's words resonated with the crowd, and the effect was immediate. The boos began to die down until they completely ceased, the devils now avoiding Latia's gaze, ashamed of their actions. Riser's authority was unquestionable, and no one dared to challenge his word.

Latia, who had maintained her dignified posture despite the insults, looked at Riser with gratitude. "Thank you, Riser-sama," she said, her voice soft but full of sincerity. She knew that without Riser's intervention, the situation could have become even more difficult for her and her Peerage.

Riser nodded in acknowledgment, keeping his expression impassive. "Continue with the rescue," he said, his tone firm. "There are many lives still needing to be saved."

With the boos silenced, Latia, Lara, and Mirai were able to continue their work without further interruption. The devils around, now aware of the importance of what was happening, began to help with the rescue, moving debris and assisting the injured, following Latia and her Peerage's example.

The atmosphere in the city was still one of destruction, but with Riser's presence and the coordinated efforts of everyone, there was new hope that Lilith could rise from the ashes.

Latia, Lara, and Mirai worked tirelessly alongside the other devils, using their magic to save as many lives as possible. The determination on their faces was evident, and their commitment to the city's recovery unwavering.

Riser's words not only stopped the boos but also inspired a new sense of unity among the devils present.

"Begin the rebuilding," Riser ordered, his firm voice echoing through the devastated square. The devils around him, inspired by his leadership, began to mobilize. Soon, other devils, not just from Latia's Peerage but also from different parts of the city, began to appear.

They approached with determined expressions, their hands and minds ready for work. Magic began to flow between the devils' hands, a spectacle of bright and powerful energy. One group focused on moving the debris, while others began using magic to restore the damaged buildings.

A devil raised his hands, and a partially destroyed building began to rise from the ground. The broken walls reassembling, bricks floating in the air and fitting perfectly into place, as if time itself was being reversed. The reconstruction magic was powerful and efficient, turning rubble back into entire structures.

Another devil cast a series of repair spells that spread across the ground, restoring damaged streets and even the sidewalks that had been destroyed in the battle. The speed at which the city was beginning to rise again was impressive, a testament to the devils' magical engineering and willpower.

As Riser watched the city being restored before his eyes, the system's voice echoed in his mind, cold and mechanical, yet with a tone of satisfaction:

[Congratulations, you earned 3000 luck points for the death of the Evil Dragons.]

The information appeared clearly in his mind, and Riser felt a slight smile form on his lips. He knew these points would be useful in the future, but he let no emotion show, keeping his serious and focused demeanor.

[Total luck points: 10,650.]

Riser processed the new information, his mind already beginning to consider how best to use this new amount of accumulated luck. However, he didn't let those thoughts distract him from what still needed to be done.

The city was far from fully restored, but the progress he saw around him was a sign that Lilith wouldn't fall easily. The engineering of the Underworld, combined with the devils' magic, was starting to reverse the damage caused by the Evil Dragons.

"You're doing well," Riser commented, addressing the devils around him who were working tirelessly. His voice, though calm, carried an authority that inspired even more confidence in the workers.

A group of devils was using magic to raise a bridge that had been completely destroyed during the battle. The broken stones began to come together, the arches being restored as if they had never been touched by destruction.
