POV Samael
Being born is a strange and wonderful thing, my mind can barely comprehend it… one moment nothing then the next, I was. Unseen hands pulling me into life guiding me into becoming me, teaching me to dance and sing in a way only life can.
Father, (weirdly we have no mother, why?) spun us into life, the majesty I felt in those first moments can not be expressed. Even now as I look at him, reaching into the beyond to bring for my new siblings (yaaay!) this feeling rose in my chest, this is my first passion. I want to be like him, so wonderful, soo… awesome.
To be able to stand by his side performing similar acts with such finesse. I can.. no I will!
I'll become everything I need to and more haha! Father will be so proud.
*giggles* Turning to look to my side I see my sister Gabriel, flying through the air all the while giggling, tiny white wings sprouting from her back. At that moment like instinct, mine own wings appeared, so too did Micheal's as he saw her. Where her wings were white and pure, mine and Micheal were different, his shone the same gold as his hair while mine were silver like my hair.
Acting like twins even in mind, me and Micheal quickly joined her in the air, and began to play, eventually joined by uriel and Baraqiel, who created a game, catch me they called it. (A/n: tag) Gabriel became the catcher first as she wished to hug us all, immediately she sped straight a Raphael who was floating around spectating us. "Gotchu! Hehe your it rayray!" As she proceeded to zoom away leaving us stunned.
Raphael smirked, turning towards us as faint winds stirred, *woosh* flying at speeds none of us had attempted yet she flew for Baraqiel, "I'm coming for you little brother,"
Despite the shocking speeds Baraqiel easily dodged as he, with a faint crackle appeared a while away. Sadly someone else wasn't as lucky as Raphael's path continued straight into uriel, knocking them both to the ground, " tag" she said with a dopey smile.
*giggles*
As both of them got up from the ground, Uriel used his bigger size to assist Raphael. Both smiling as he turned and sprinted straight at me, already prepared to swap our roles.
Instinctively I reached out and bent the light around me, somehow cloaking myself from all their sight, and dodge out of the way. Luckily he missed, and spun his head around to look for me, not noticing his face was inches away from mine.
He changed his target to Micheal who was slowly retreating, charging forward. His feet echoed on the ground as he raised a wall of stone to block off Micheal path, and succeed.
Michael now IT turned to Gabriel who was now attached in a full body hug around Baraqiel, his face stressed as he tried to escape what we will all soon learn is inescapable.
As Michael approached ever closer, Gabriel extended her hand "Nuh uh!" and hit him with a flood of water sending him careening back, and landing right next to me, still invisible, holding in my laughter.
With a resigned sigh he slowly got up, strangely his body tense…
I reeled back as he spun around and latched onto me, sending us to the floor. My invisibility fading as he stared at me with a victorious smile. "Found you haha!"
Confused "how?" I asked,
"I coul- *oof*" He was cut off as the rest of our siblings quickly jumped into us, creating a giant cuddle pile.
*giggles*
For a while we played, sometimes new games, sometimes old ones with newer rules. I.. we all were having so much fun.
"Enjoying yourselves, my children?" Father's voice called to us. We all agree in a chorus of laughter. "Good, the best part of life is getting to live it."
"Now come, more of your siblings await" he then turned and headed back to the hatchery, we followed him in.
In the center of the room, sat the other seven eggs, our siblings sat silent on their pedestals. GOD then brushes his hand slowly over each and Everyone.
The front four glowed and the shells dissolved away into motes of light, in front of us were two more boys and girls, all with eyes the color of steel, but their hair all different. One boy had light green hair that swayed like grass in the wind, the other an auburn red that floats like falling leaves. One girl with hair as white as snow, ever frozen in place, the other a rainbow of colors, like petals of a million flowers dancing under the sun.
"Hello, my lovelies. Welcome home." He smiled as he cupped their faces. Gabriel, still giggling by our side, waved to them, swinging her arm hard enough that I worried I might fly off and hit someone. The rest of us copied her gesture, to a lesser extent, welcoming our siblings.
Father turned to face the first boy, "you are Aestasiel, the angel of summer, the north and the ocean shores. You will hold this seat upon my heaven." In the direction of what we now could all feel is north, shine a pillar of light mantled above by a star, that shone like a cool breeze under the bright sun.
Father continued on for the next boy, "you are Autumniel, the angel of autumn, the east and the deep forests, this is your seat upon my heaven." To the east I turned as I witnessed another pillar of light crowned by a star, whose light glittered like falling leaves.
"You, my daughter, are Heimspiel, the angel of winter, south, and the frigid mountains, you will hold this seat upon my heaven." To the south a grand pillar of light holding up a star, that radiated winter's chill.
"And you are Verwiel, the angel of spring, the west and the flowering plains. This is your seat upon my heaven." and finally to our west one final pillar of light arose, enshrining a star whose ray formed petals of endless colors.
Another round of glowing caught everyone's attention, as Father awakened the last three eggs.
Three more children appear, our fathers eyes never leaving them. Two were of such similar likeness, that in comparison it looked like Michael and I were unrelated. Both had hair of white and black, they're gender indescribable, which we would learn that they had none. Their eyes being the only difference between them. Both black as night, but where one had a faint shimmer of light red, the other crimson.
"You are metatron, the angel of life, records and experience. Your seat upon my heaven is every life it will bare" a glowing light shimmer in father's hand, it coalesced into a book, which he handed to the child with light red eyes.
"You are azrael, the angel of death, souls and rest. Your seat upon my heaven is every soul it will harbor." again a glowing light shimmered and formed into a book. Which the child with crimson eyes held as they both held father is awe and wonder.
Father then turned to the last child, whose hair was brown with patches of gold. Whose eyes held curiosity and longing, a passion I could already feel burst from within him.
"And finally, you my son are azazel, the angel of Knowledge, change and curiosity. This is your seat upon my heaven." One final star appeared in the night sky that the roof held. This one whispered, and questioned, and taught all it could, to all those that would listen.
As Azreal, Metatron and Azazel joined us, father, GOD spoke. "You thirteen are the first of my children, you are special beyond compare, and you will forever be part of my kingdom, My archangels, my highest choir. Azrael, Metatron and Azazel you three will be the Angels of mortality, overseeing all that is born, grows and fades. Aestasiel, Autumniel, Heimspiel and Verwiel, You will be the Angels of the world, managing and overseeing the lands below. Samael, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel and Baraqiel, you will be the lords of the greater elements, the first mysteries. These will be your positions and responsibilities before all others. I have faith in all of you, I know you will be great." After his words I could feel the very undercurrent of passion running through my siblings and I. So pure and unapologetic, their dreams sifting through the air.
Father looked me right in the eyes and smirked, "now don't let me keep you waiting, go on play" and with that father faded away. My siblings all rushed outside to resume their games; I hung back and my gaze settled on the stars, " you coming?" Michael asked, having noticed me standing still.
"Yes…" my eyes drifting between all the lights as I turned around, "can't let you catch me a second time" unknowing that as I stared into the dark between, it stared back.
