Chapter 15: Progress

I suck at dialogue so I'm just going to move the story along. Juicy stuff is planned and I want to get to it faster.

It's been 4 months since I've arrived in the Gremory territory.

Through these 4 months I have continuously improved in my usage of magic and have properly began training my Time abilities.

3 months ago, I was finally able to meet my uncle, and to say that he was ecstatic about me still being alive is an understatement. Apparently, my uncle was really attached to me since I am the decendent of the cousin that he spoiled when she was younger. They got along extremely well so when I was born, he had vowed to her in her final moments that he would take care of me as if I were his own son. It would explain why former "me" got away with a lot despite being a punk.

When I asked, he didn't hesitate to show me his way of training his Time abilities and he showed me quite a few tips and tricks to get it to work. He also taught me the proper way to control it so that I don't accidently end up aging or de-aging parts of my body. Imagining my future buff self with tiny baby hands hurts.

I also got the chance to meet my cousin and the future head of the Agares clan, Seekvaria. She was absolutely adorable with her puffy pink princess dress and it looks like she was also attached to me but was a bit of a tsundere to admit it as even after she found out I was alive and took me into a bear hug and refused to let go of me, she only huffed saying she was only trying to comfort me.

Have to admit, getting bear hugged by my tsundere older cousin while I was trying to play it cool infront of Venelana was not the best but it scored some good points in her book so it was fine.

On the topic of the Gremory matron, I have grown significantly closer to her. Wiersly enough, or not?, she is more human than devil in the sense that she values emotions and bonds. A while ago, I began consoling Venelana whenever Zeoticus went off to play around with his hoes and despite the initial rejection for comfort, she eventually relented and began unloading all her resentment towards him with me. Although all I did was really listen and give my own 2 cents here and there while she let go over a bottle of alcohol, she appreciated it immensely and has begun opening up to me more over the last few months.

Every now and then, we also spend time together enjoying tea and going out into town for some lunch. Rias, Shirone, and Kuroka join us every now and then to ease their boredom but I think Shirone is just a little jealous that I don't spend as much time with her anymore.

Though I think it's because I reduced how much chocolate she is allowed to eat every week. Who knows.

Recently, I even started asking her out on dinner dates to get to know her a little better and have come to find that despite her age, she still gets giddy and shy whenever she is complimented. Mother and businesswoman she may be, but she is also a woman looking for someone to lean on for comfort and appreciates the small things done for her; opening doors, flowers, chocolates, all that cheesy stuff, something Zeoticus stopped doing some 200 years ago.

Having done this to the bodacious MILF, I have left a reaaally good impression on her and our current relationship is just a tiny bit more than friend but leaning towards a reliable confidant, though honestly, she might more than likely see me only as a child trying to help. Although it isn't what I was going for, this is fine for now. Decent progress, but progress nonetheless. Maybe set up something kinky in the future with this.

Moving on, with Rias, I have made close to zero progress in trying to change her lazy attitude towards everything. She became a lazy otaku weeb sometime before I had arrived apparently and refuses to change out of her lazy lifestyle. Although we have become decent friends, that's it. I wanted to try getting close to her but her being a lazy bum was quite a turn off so I left it that.

She still goes on about becoming the future Rating Game champion but makes no effort to work towards it. In magic training, she only attends the required time set by Venelana before she packs up and leaves to eat junk food and watch anime or read manga. The same goes for the rest of her classes of nobility; she attends the classes, does her homework quickly and goes back to being a lazy otaku bum.

Don't get me wrong, she is literally a natural born genius but she makes no effort to improve herself after she was told by both Sirzechs and her father that even without training, she would eventually reach the Ultimate class naturally. Although she just recently started putting in effort, as soon as she runs out of breath she claims a 2 hour break and ends up completely forgetting abiut training.

Although Venelana has tried talking to her about ther habits, Zeoticus and Sirzechs shrugged off her efforts as they couldn't really care and continue to spoil her and let her do whatever she wants. This significantly lowered my impression of Sirzechs and whatever was left of Zeoticus.

Even though I had changed how she met Shirone, she still became quite attached to the little nekoshou and I am currently doing everything in my power to dissuade Shirone from accepting Rias' offer to join her future peerage, and thankfully Shirone is on the fence about her offer, so I won't have to worry too much. Though recently she has started distancing herself from Rias probably after coming to know how she is.

I also got to finally meet Sona Sitri and the Satan magical girl herself, Serafall Leviathan. Kid Sona is always smiling and has a pep in her step and loves to imitate Serfall in her magical girl outifts. I took a few pictures and shared them with the magical girl who squeeled at the preserved memory and declared myself her bestie.

Sona, Sera, and I got along really well. I was a bit of a watcher of magical girl anime in my former life and suggested a few moves from Sailor Moon to them. Sera took it as a joke originally but I know she is secretly practicing some of those moves, attacks and tranformations, both for her show and for actual combat. Sona is legitemently trying to recreate some of the effects I talked about and is failing adorably.

I can't wake to show her some of the pictures and videos I've taken in the future when she comes into her stoic personality. Perfect black mail material.

I haven't really had the chance to speak with Sirzechs again after the time I got my Evil Piece set but I have been keeping in touch with Ajuka. He says that my Evil Pieces are extremely special but he won't give me any hints as to what effects they may have on my future peerage members, though I doubt he knows what they do either. Since it's nothing harmful, I leave it be and just send him a report on any changes that occur to them every now and then.

There was also a "special" event that happened in these 4 months. Well 2 really.

First off, I kicked Kuroka's ass and I continue to use her as my punching bag every weekend. I stepped into the peak of High class and with my physical body alone, I can kick ANY low Ultimate class beings into the ground and they wont even have a chance to retaliate. My grudge has been vented but kicking her around is quite fun and I think I may have awoken something in her. Lovely.

The second event is a little, well, VERY out of the ordinary. I had a little encounter with someone in a place I never thought I'd see them, doing something I'd never thought they would do. It was VERY eye opening. We ended up coming to an agreement and now I accompany them every Monday to spectate the "event".

I recently started participating in it but not by joining in the event, but by directing it, and I must say, I LOVE every minute of it. I make sure to record every minute of it and enjoy the recording of the entire event over the next few days and I always make sure to share a copy with my buddy.

But that's for some time in the future.

As I've mentioned earlier, I am now a peak High class being and just a hairline away from becoming an Ultimate class. However, I've been warned by every powerful being that I have contact with to allow myself to become an Ultimate class naturally, to not push myself to become one.

According to Venelana and Ajuka, when one becomes an Ultimate class being, one forms a connection with their abilities. That is to say, I begin to embody the abilities that I use. Destruction, Space, Time, and my Demon mark.

When one reaches the Satan class, the connection grows deeper until the point where one is able to become the full embodyment of their abilties and nature, this connection becoming ridiculously stronger once they surpass the limits of Devils and become a Super Devil. In Sirzechs case, it would be his Destruction form. For Ajuka, he would become an embodiment of magic and his Kankara Formula would receive a massive upgrade once he unleashes his full power.

Due to these reasons, I have resorted to just training in the usage of my ablities and improving my battle mage fighting style. That includes my Space abilities which I have found a way to somewhat control and use, and while it not the best way to make use of it, it's a start and I intend to make full use of my Reality Pearl's training area and massive open space to test different forms of control for Space.

I am not keen on letting the people around me know that I have spacial abilities as it is one of the rarer abilities in this world with only Ophis, Great Red, Odin, Hermes, and a few Sacred Gears having any power in Space abilites.

Sure there is space magic, however most of it is standard teleportation spells and some barriers. There are very few who actually go down the rabbit hole that is Space and study it amd actually make something of it.

I don't want to let the world know that I have spacial abilities or risk some other factions attempting to forcefully recuit or enslave me. I don't have enough power at the moment to strut around the world like a peacock in a flock of chickens so I'll be keeping to myself for a while so that I can gain some profficiency in using my Space trait.

That being said, it doesn't mean I'm weak either. At full power, activated Demon mark, PoD, and Time abilites at the ready, I can take on most mid level and some high level Ultimates as long as they aren't a total counter to my fighting style. The training phantoms are really useful to gauge my current power standing and I intend to make full use of it now and in the future for my peerage members and myself. I can probably make my own MI6 task force if I really wanted. Food for thought.

I plan on leaving the underworld real soon since I have a quite a few plans in the Human world but I want to try to make contact with a certain blonde haired heiress of an extra Devil clan to attempt to recruit her into my peerage.

From what I know of her future self, she is an excellent srategist and fighter but with a bit of an ego and would become extremely loyal to her future king. I want to take advantage of me living years before the cannon events happen to attempt to recruit her and take her far above where she would have stood in the future, making full use of her future potential in combat and her strategist mindset.

If it doesn't work out, then shame. If it does, I'll have a very powerful and loyal peerage member at my side. The only problem will be coming in contact with her since I can't let my existence be known to the Underworld at large. I don't fear the Great King faction, I fear the stupidity they would bring in their quest to attempt to get rid of me and potentially start more civil strife among the Devils, something that has been thoroughly avoided for the past 200+ years.

They kill me, my uncle knows who it was. My uncle enraged at losing me, his son in all but genes, not once, but twice to the same people would not hesitate to strike at them. Sirzechs as the new Lucifer - "King" of Hell - would have to intervene and try to settle it. The Great King faction members being old coots with a 2 foot wide stick up their ass would make excessive demands, blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda.

Shit would blow out of proportion.

They may also mess up future events if things get out of hand such as the the future peace conference between the three Biblical factions that may be pushed back due to civil unrest among the Devils in the Underworld.

Back to the potential peerage recruit, even if I can't make contact with her now, there are still a few years until cannon events begin so I'll do everything I can right now to improve my situation and get my peerage members up to snuff so that we aren't kicked around by any future opponents, fuck Rizevim, Hades and his reapers, and Trihexa. They are my current targets that I need to become stronger to take down since I'm not exactly keen on end game level bosses scheming and plotting in the background.

Until then, I will train, train, and train some more till I can kill them with a fart.

Probably not possible, but infuse PoD into tiny Space blades that are propelled and accelerated by the gas expelled during a fart, and I can probably do it.
