Holy mother of God...

What strange days we had yesterday.

I was calmly studying Nordic runes, those I don't understand at all, and my teachers, in their infinite wisdom, are forcing me to study this complex and rare magic system.

The day seemed so normal… until suddenly, I felt a presence so powerful that even I, a high-class mage, noticed it.

It was north of where I live.

So, out of curiosity, I ran straight to my teacher.

I was lucky that he had a friend who owns a magic satellite, one of those that can see through barriers.

Thanks to that, I managed to obtain some videos of what happened.

These videos are amazing!

And as you've probably guessed, the Great Red made his appearance yesterday.

For those who don't know him (if there's anyone who doesn't), the Great Red is, in my opinion, the strongest creature in the world, capable of destroying gods like Indra in minutes (please, don't look up my real name, you scare me).

Yesterday, for reasons I don't fully understand, that dragon who only seeks to wander the dimensional gap appeared in front of a guy standing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Here are the images, although his face is hidden, you can see he's a humanoid figure.

We don't know if he's a demon, an angel, a god, or what.

The information about this being is a complete mystery... but what I can say is that this guy is terrifying.

You just have to see it to believe it.

He managed to face the Great Red for over 10 minutes!

Who in this world can do that?

What we still don't know is what kind of being this stranger is, and the Great Red didn't kill him or anything like that.

We also don't know what words they exchanged, as the satellite couldn't capture the sound clearly, and I'm obviously not a dragon to understand the Great Red's roars.

Yesterday, my entire school and city were in an uproar because of the aura and magical power (by the way, I live in Asgard, so don't come looking for me).

Everyone was completely out of their minds, even Odin-sama, Thor-sama, and other gods had to calm people down since every being from the high-class upwards could feel that aura and panicked.

The Great Red created a barrier.

So there were no severe consequences like tsunamis or earthquakes in the human world.

As you can see in the videos, the stranger fought effortlessly against the Great Red.

I have no idea what kind of powers or abilities he was using, but I guess they're [Sacred Gears]?

Although they could also be Divine Weapons, but I don't think that's the case, at least in my opinion.

If they were Divine Weapons, that would be terrifying...

The [Sacred Gears] were created by the Biblical God, who, in my opinion, is a tremendous chad for giving us humans at least some power to defend ourselves.

Although I belong to Norse mythology and am protected by the Valkyries, the Einherjar, and the Gods, I know that most humans are pretty screwed without the means to protect themselves in this dangerous world.

So, at least, thanks are due to the Biblical God.

As I was saying, I hope these artifacts are [Sacred Gears] (though none of them ring a bell to me).

Because if they were Divine Weapons, born directly from God Himself... it would be terrifying, without a doubt.

That would be too much!

Hopefully, they are [Sacred Gears].

Even the strongest God in the world, Shiva, only has three Divine Weapons, you know?! (Indra doesn't agree with this opinion, hahaha, please don't look up my real name).

Anyway, what we can see is that this guy has some artifacts, let's call them [Sacred Gears] for now, as I'm not entirely sure what they are.

They're like cannons that manipulate light and can bombard at high speed.

Although, in the video, you can also see him using them as thrusters to fly at incredible speeds.

I don't know the exact speed, but here you can see a fragment:

He also had other armaments that, according to my master, manipulated causality.

As we can see in this video, the stranger used one of those artifacts to dodge an attack that, logically, would have been impossible to evade.

But what surprised me the most was this sort of crossbow that accumulated pure wind?

And it managed to directly counter a beam of energy launched by the Great Red, piercing through its body.

Though, in the end, it didn't amount to much, as the Great Red reappeared in the sky as if nothing had happened.

What a cheating creature!

On the other hand, the stranger didn't fall behind.

We could see him opening what seemed like wormholes and reflecting the Great Red's attacks back at it.

I don't know what to think about that...

When this guy cut the Great Red's wings as if they were butter with that strange clock he summoned and the sword in his hand, I was completely dumbfounded.

My master, who is a supreme-class mage, was just as shocked.

Honestly, I'd never seen anything like it.

Anyway, the battle was insane.

In the end, the Great Red left without finishing off that guy.

Afterward, a girl? appeared in front of him, and then they both disappeared.

And that's where the satellite recording ended, as we couldn't trace them further.

But seriously, this raises so many questions.

Who the hell is this guy?

With all due respect to the original Lucifer...

I live in the underworld, but I'm obviously not going to say my name.

I don't want anyone casting a curse on me.

Yesterday, while training with my master from the nobility, I suddenly felt that aura, that magical power...

Even in the underworld, I could feel it!

That can only mean one thing: the Great Red is far more powerful than I had imagined.

And that guy who dared to fight him…

Damn amazing!

Having the guts to face the world's strongest creature, in my opinion, is applause-worthy.

Yesterday, I asked my master about all of this, but he had no idea either.

He couldn't provide me with any information, leaving me curious.

What can be seen in the video is a bunch of tsunamis and tidal waves.

It's also clear that guy transformed.

His armor and the halo on his head, shaped like a crown, changed.

And shortly after, the Great Red's wings were cut off!

Let's hope this unknown guy isn't one of those who have the hobby of being evil...

I don't have the protection of any myth, so please let this guy be sane and not one of those perverted fallen angels who attack me just because I have a measly [Twice Critical].

Those fallen angels aren't part of Grigori, because Azazel-sama wouldn't allow such a thing.

Even though he's a pervert and a NEET (don't read this, boss), he doesn't stoop to doing those things.

Maybe those fallen angels are just jealous because they can't rise from the lower class, or they simply hate our father's creations for kicking us out of heaven.

Yasaka-sama had to manipulate the ley lines in Kyoto to ease her people's discomfort.

It's impressive that the aura reached here—when they were in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, about 4,500 km away!

If you're near the Vatican, maybe the 'pure' angels from Heaven will forgive you and all that, but anywhere else, they'd most likely send you straight to hell.

And it wouldn't work anyway.

If someone saw it, they'd just erase their memories somehow.

I watched the replays, and even I couldn't figure out what that guy did.

But I asked a superior from my faction, and he told me that key "seals" energy within a radius of about 10 km.

He also mentioned that it doesn't seem to be a [Sacred Gear]—or at least there are no records of it being one—so either it's a divine weapon from some unknown god, or something the guy himself created.

A/N:

If you didn't notice, I included many usernames from the comments, as well as some from the list of power stones. Maybe you even showed up in this chapter.

Anyway, this is the first time I've written a chapter like this.

Honestly, I'm not sure how it turned out, but I think it's not too bad.

Also, it's about 4000 words long, so it's a bit lengthy.

I want to clarify something: I might make some mistakes or come up with things out of nowhere for the plot, but I ask for your patience.

I've written so little in my life that I can't say I have much experience.

There might also be small changes to the DxD universe; for example, I might add myths that weren't fully developed in the original work.
