Getting caught breaking into a shop was already bad enough, but Luna running away in a frenzied state threw a monkey wrench in their plans of laying low until the hunting group that replied to Nika's broadcast message lost their interest.
It could be argued that the chances of being chased after by an unknown group for such a small reason as a miscommunication were low, but their naive times of believing in the good will of people had long been left behind and they were certain that those hunters were after a reward and would find any excuse to get it.
Spotting the lumbering werewolf in an empty city wasn't difficult at all and catching up with her speed should have been an easy feat for Uriel since he was an entire rank above the werewolf in question. the problem with that was that despite Uriel having his flux reserve almost full he had no means to replenish it and if a fight was to break out he would be at a disadvantage.
