The Guild Battle's Aftermath

The first-year guild competition had come to an end.

The tension in the stadium had loosened, and students who had fought throughout the day were now congratulating one another. The class relay was particularly a hit—it was the kind of event that brings everyone together in spirit.

"Nice job, Akaya!"

"You were crazy fast, man!"

"Seriously, Akaya's got insane physical strength!"

The boys from Class 4, acting as if they'd known of Akaya's greatness all along, showered him with praise. Even though it was just the heat of the moment, the atmosphere of celebration made Akaya feel like a popular guy, if only for a little while.

"Hmph."

Akaya suddenly noticed his hands trembling, his legs spasming. The strain from using his signature move, Starburst Sprint of the Starcrusher, had clearly taken its toll on his body.

"Akaya, that was incredible. You were amazing," came a soft voice.
