There was a difference in his vision, everything was clearer than before.

"Hey, you alright?" Jane asked in a concerned voice as she saw the painful expression on Bishop's face a moment ago.

[Eagle Eyes (Passive) - Increased sight while being able to differentiate slight changes in colorization. Focusing on a single point allows you to 'zoom' in. (0/5000 Potential Points for an upgrade.)]

Bishop couldn't see it himself but the color of his eyes changed from black to brown. Unless one was paying attention then no one would notice this change.

"Yeah, I'm alright. Just a small a little dust got into my eyes is all." Bishop quickly lied to stop Jane from asking any further. He'd rather not disclose anything about his ability.

Just like that Jane let the matter go she nodded her head. A few seconds later Jameson came downstairs with paper and pen in hand.

"Here ya go sis." Jameson slapped both the paper and pen in front of his sister.

"Alright you've done enough for today, you can take the room in the basement. When the tavern opens back up make sure you don't come up here, can't have people seeing ya. If they do they'll know where you are at."

"The basement? Really? I'll be bored and left with nothing to do." Jameson whined as he did not want to stay in the basement. Being left down there all day every day until the case was solved would make him go insane. He'd be looking at walls all day long!

Jane glared at Jameson causing him to shut his mouth. Not another word came from him.

"Well, what are ya waiting on? Go and don't let me see you. I'll have someone bring you food and water."

Jameson rolled his eyes and slowly walked towards the basement. He paused and looked back hoping for Jane to say he could stay above ground a little longer. Turns out she was busy writing on the paper, she didn't even glance back at him. With no hope left in sight, Jameson continued to walk towards the basement.

"Don't you think you're being a tad bit harsh on the boy?" Bishop asked.

Jane continued writing on the paper. One second, then two went by before she replied to him.

"Not really. This is a learning experience for him, it's also fun. Should see how he was before he went and became a knight. Always complaining about every single thing, had to beat him up daily. Now, look at him, following my orders."

Jane never looked up when she spoke to Bishop. She kept her head down and wrote. It wasn't long before the list of names was completed. She slid the paper over to Bishop.

"Here, there are six names on this paper that you should look into. They were here when old Tom was killed and they have the biggest motive to kill him."

Jane got up from her seat and stretched her body. When she stretched her chest seemed to grow a bit larger causing Bishop to look at that wonderful sight.

Bishop forced his eyes to move from Jane's chest to the paper in front of him. He read the names of each person. Jane was thorough, she went as far as writing down the location they'd likely be at.

While Bishop was reading the list of names Jane walked behind her counter and grabbed a tan jacket. She put it on and buttoned it up. After which she reached under the counter and grabbed an old school gun.

Bishop caught sight of her actions and his eyes were filled with curiosity.

"Where are you headed?"

Jane tossed her blonde hair back before she placed the handgun on her side.

"To take care of business, why? Want to tag along?"

Bishop thought about it and shook his head.

Wherever she was going he did not want to go. See no evil, hear no evil. He wanted no part of whatever she was going to dig into.

Jane shrugged her shoulders.

"Suit yourself. If you find any new information let me know."

With that Jane left the tavern leaving Bishop alone.

Although he was alone he wasn't really bored. Since he obtained better sight he wanted to test it out. He could already the small words on the picture across the room perfectly. If it was before he couldn't read them.

Bishop focused on the red dot on the dart board. He was 35 feet away from the dart board and the red circle was tiny. The longer he looked at the red circle the bigger it became until Bishop felt like it took the majority of his vision. He shook his head and smiled.

Before heading out to find the six people that Jane wrote down Bishop pulled out the medallion of Fenrir and wore it around his neck. He tucked it under his shirt so no one would know he had this item.

Once that was equipped he poked his index finger with the tip of his rapier. A small drop of blood appeared on his finger and he let it drip onto the white card.

The card absorbed the blood and words started to appear on the blank card. It just told others his name, blood type, affiliation, and age.

'Welp, best get started before it gets dark.'

Bishop put the ID away as he got up from his seat. He knew he was a bit stronger but this was only the beginning.

Short chapter.
