Potential to Evolve (1)

When Bishop thought it over, it really did seem like the main quest. Even if it was not, Bishop at least had some items to make his life easier.

Inside the armory, Bishop looked at all the weapons. From wands to swords, and there was even the rare scythe. Usually, a new player had a few options to choose from for their starting weapon, but those were just the basics. Such as swords, bows, wands, and a shield. However, Duelist had over twenty different type of weapons to choose from once you progressed further in the game.

Inside this small armory, Bishop saw all twenty different types! Sadly as he scanned them over they were all white grade, the very basic.

"Well, what are you waiting on get to choosing." Jane saw how Bishop was standing in place not moving, only his eyes were moving around. She figured he'd stand there all day if she did not say anything.

Just like she thought Bishop got to moving as he went further into the armory. His hands rubbed over a short sword. Picking it up Bishop swung it a few times and set it down.

'Nah, not worth it right now.' Bishop shook his head as he looked at the stats of the short sword.

[Short Sword - White]

[Atk - 1-4]

[Spd - .6]

Bishop went on to the next weapon and then the next. It took him two minutes before he nodded his head as he held a new weapon in his hand.

[Rapier - White]

[Atk - 1-3]

[Spd - 1.1]

While the attack of a rapier was lower than that of a sword, it was almost twice as fast. Rapier's had their own limitations such as they could only stab forward, but Bishop was not worried.

Next Bishop looked at the armor that hung on the wall. He picked out a leather jacket and put it on. The stats of it was low but, it allowed him to move more quickly than if he would have worn metal armor.

Now that he was equipped with armor and a weapon Bishop could now go out and explore the world. Before he could do that he needed to finish up this first quest.

Jane looked Bishop over as she circled around him.

"Looking good there, if only you were a tad bit better looking i'd eat you up myself."

Bishop rolled his eyes.

"Alright enough of that, go bring me back Jameson. If he tries to resist beat him up then bring him back. Just make sure he doesn't die alright?"

"Why would he resist?"

"Those that are guilty of crimes always resist, it isn't anything new."

"You think he killed old Tom?"

Jane started to laugh.

"Heck no! Jameson couldn't kill old Tom even if old Tom was drunk. Jameson that boy is a bit frail so his punches are even weaker than my own. Only thing he knows how to do is twist stories around." Jane told Bishop as she crossed her arms.

Bishop's eyes moved down a little and saw her cleavage. It was only a second but Jane took notice of it.

She shoved Bishop and told him to get moving.

He quickly made his way over to where Jameson was located. Same spot by the castle gates away from everyone else.

Bishop eye'd the castle gates and sighed a little as he wished he knew what was going on inside. The guard at the gate looked at Bishop with a cold gaze. If Bishop tried to do anything, he'd react.

Feeling the stare of that guard caused Bishop to shake his head. He went around and found Jameson with the hood over his head.

"I see ya came back and no scratches on ya! What'd you do, knock old Tom down? Steal it while he was sleep?"

Bishop scratched his cheek.

"Nah, he just gave it to me." Bishop replied.

"Gave it to ya!? You lie boy! Old Tom wouldn't hand over my medallion for free, you must have given him something he wanted or told him about me. Now, which one was it?"

Jameson did not seem to believe Bishop at all.

Jameson knew what old Tom was like, giving things out for free was not in his profile. Because of this, he felt that Bishop sold him out.

Sighing Bishop pulled out the medallion. It shined as Jameson reached for it but Bishop yanked it back.

"To tell you the truth he really did give it to me for free. As much as I would like to give it to you, you'll need to follow me first."

Jameson fanned his hand.

"Blah! Just hand the thing over, you have no idea what it means to me. It's more useful in my hand than it is in yours."

Bishop laughed lightly as he heard Jameson. It was true, this medallion was bound to Jameson there was no way anyone else could use it. However, he would not hand it over just yet.

Bishop was weak right now, and although Jane said that Jameson was a weakling Bishop did not believe her. From the way she carried herself Bishop knew that she was a high leveled NPC.

While Bishop Knights could also be high level, Bishop himself figured Jameson should be one of the newly trained recruits. Therefore his level shouldn't pass 15. If that was indeed the case Jane herself was at least level 25 or higher.

Due to the gap in strength between the two Jameson's punches would indeed be weaker than her own.

"I can't do that just yet. Follow me first and then I'll hand it to you. There's no trap so don't worry yourself."

Jameson snorted.

"Why are you so adamant about me following ya? If you think I'm going to go with you, you have another thing coming."

Jameson wouldn't budge he's been tricked before and he would not be tricked again.

Bishop sighed, seems like he was left with no other choice.

"Look, you are coming with me and that's that. If you don't come with me now, then Jane will come to find you later."

Jameson jumped back slightly when he heard the name, Jane.

"Jane? Jane's looking for me!?"

Bishop nodded.

"Fuck me. You can keep that thing I'm outta here. Nothing good happens when that lady is around."

Jameson was about to run away but Bishop jumped and grabbed him. Locking his arm behind his back.

Jameson yelled out in pain but Bishop only tightened his hold on Jameson.

'What's this? Why does he have so little strength?'

Bishop was confused as to why it felt like he was fighting against a child. Jameson's strength stat should be higher than Bishop's, but it wasn't. Bishop easily overpowered him.

"Let me go! I swear it'll be the death of me if you take me to Jane. You'll be helping commit murder!"

Jameson couldn't help but yell out. He tried to resist as much as he could but there was no escape from Bishop.

"Quit whining, I'm sure it won't be that bad."
