Chapter six

Lucifer POV

Stepping out of the restaurant, I walked elegantly to my car, and hopped in, before speeding out of the place. The incident from earlier keep playing in my head, and I just couldn't help finding everything funny and crazy. I just couldn't help wondering if this is how all humans acts, stealing around, that's the most despicable thing.

Speeding through the busy road, with many cars, speeding pass me, while some driving behind me, my eyes caught with something, there were many people, standing in front of something, while murmuring what I don't know. Curiosity came hitting at me, and slowly, I found myself, giving in to it, and slowing down the car, I parked at the corner of the road, and adjusted my sunglass, before stepping out of the car, after which I walked over to the place, maintaining a straight face as usual.

Walking my way elegantly to the crowd, my eyes darted to what they're all staring at, it's a billboard, and displaying on it, is the latest news.

"Good afternoon people out there, and welcome to the GMA network, Philippino. Here are the news headlines; The president of Philippines, declare the minister of oil and gas, minister Edmund Bartlett, wanted, for allegedly embezzling a sum of three hundred million pesos; Mr Raven Harper, the scientist, who was declared missing a few days ago, have been found dead. We'll be back shortly, for the news." The lady, who have been talking nonstop on the screen, said, and in the next second, an advert displayed.

As much as I want to go back to my car, and drive away, I just couldn't do it, because I still want to find out something.

"We're back, thanks for waiting. On the 13th of the month of may, which happened to be last week Wednesday, according to Mrs Raven, her husband, had told her that he was going on a trip for some research, and that was the last time, which she set her eyes on him. According to the investigation carried out thoroughly, it is said that his death, has something to do with a den, which remains mysterious. After taking him to the lab, to run som tests on his corpse, he was discovered to be bitten by a wild animal, but the animal, remained a mystery." The lady said, and paused.

Turning around, I headed straight to my car, and hopped in, before driving out of the place, and soon, I was already on my way home, as the thought of the man, filled my mind. I thought he was sent by one of our enemies, but turns out that he's just a scientist, he got what he deserve though.

After driving for what seemed like forever, I finally drove into my compound, and parked neatly at the garage, before stepping out of the car, after which I walked over to the entrance door, before walking in.

Stepping into the living room, I headed straight to the staircase, and climbed it elegantly, till I got to the deck, before taking the hallway. After walking through the hallway for minutes, I finally stopped on front of my room, and pushed the door opened, before walking in....

Lilly POV

"Let's run! We can't go to jail." I said, and in the next seconds, I grabbed Nina's hand, before rushing to the door, and once we got out of the restaurant, I let go off her hand, and we started running, ignoring the calls from the waitress. She must be crazy to think I'll answer her.

After running for what seemed like forever, I finally got to a tree, and crashed my back on it, while catching my breath.

"Ah! That was a tough one." Nina chuckled, while breathing heavily. This girl is losing her mind, how can she still have the guts to laugh, even after what happened, huh? This was all her fault, if she hadn't suggested this, maybe we wouldn't be going through all these shit now, how sure I am that the waitress hasn't called the police on us? How sure I am that no one is following us now?

My mind wandered off to the jerk from earlier, and I just couldn't resist the urge to scoff, that idiot, is that how he go around, meddling into other people's personal affairs? I can't wait to see him again, I'll make sure I teach him a lesson, if I ever get to see that idiot.

"Just shut your mouth you fool! It was all your fault, you suggested this, and look at the mess we're in now." I ruffled my hair angrily, while glaring at her.

"Come on Lilly, stop making me look like a bad person here, we're both in this together. When I suggested it, you could've said no, right? I wouldn't force you if you had insisted, right? But you too we're hungry, and desperately wanted to eat, so we did this together." She rolled her eyes, as she threw her head back on the tree, while breathing heavily.

"You're unbelievable Nina, and you know what? I'll never do this shit with you, ever again." I snapped.

"You think you can run away from me, huh?" Came the familiar voice, which I can recognize, even out of a thousand voice, and I felt my heart, skipped like a million times, balls of sweats formed on my forehead, and I gulped down the lump in my throat.

Tilting my head slowly to look at the direction of the voice, I was welcomed with the angry looking waitress, walking towards us, but this time, she wasn't alone, but with two cops. Oh heavens! I'm doomed.

"Run Nina!" I said to Nina, before picking up race, and in the next seconds, I found myself, running a race with the cops and the waitress, as they didn't stopped chasing me. Oh God please save me, I don't want to go to jail.

After running for minutes, I made to cross to the other side of the road, when the loud sound of a car brake came on, making me cringe, and tilting my head to check where the sound came from, I was welcomed with a car, driving towards me with full speed, and that was when I realized that I was standing in the middle of the roadway. God! I'm dead!....
