Ch. 2 Uncle Nephew Bonding

Raditz is flying back to his space pod with two kids under his arms. He kinda finds it hard to believe he is a nephew. Even if they're only half Saiyan.

He wonders why one of the kids isn't crying like the other one. But then again. Saiyans shouldn't be crying so that one is the unnatural one.

He lands down in the farming fields and puts down the kids. They immediately run off behind a blue truck.

Gohan and Gochi hold eachother as they hide behind a tire of the vehicle.

"That bully. I hate him" Gohan says.

"I understand Gohan, but he's our Uncle. Even if he's evil" Gochi says as he and Gohan look at Raditz's boots stomp towards them.

Then a loud metal clanging sound is heard.

Raditz shoved his fist through the hood of the car and raises it to reveal his two little nephews.

"O-Oh yeah?! Our daddy can lift that too ya know?!" Gohan shouts at Raditz.

Raditz smirks. He releases an energy blast that vaporizes the hunk of metal scrap in a flash of light.

"Aaaahhhhhh!" Gohan shouts.

Both Gohan and Gochi cling to eachother harder. They close their eyes due to the right flash of light. But while Gohan is frightened, Gochi is curious.

When the light goes away Raditz stands there with his hand open and smoking.

Gohan stares agape in shock. Gochi stares with inquisitive eyes and looks between Raditz's palm and his own.

Then Gohan begins crying again.

"Shut up! Stop crying!" Raditz commands.

"That's not going to help!" Gochi shouts back to match Raditz's tone.

"I-I don't know why you have to be so mean! I didn't do anything to you!" Gohan says as he continues crying.

Raditz walks over to them and picks them both up. "Quiet fools. Be strong, you are one of the brave Saiyans too" He says in a much more caring tone. But maybe Gochi just misunderstood it.

Raditz takes them both into a crater with a weird spherical metal object at the bottom of it.

"Put me down! Let me down!" Gohan shouts as he flails.

Gochi just stays quiet as he observes the interior of the object.

"Ahhhh!" Gohan gets flung in and begins crying again.

"There" Raditz then closes the pod. "You can come out when you quiet down" He listens to the quieted and muffled noises Gohan is making. "Ah, that's much better" He then looks to Gochi. "Are you going to stay quiet?"

Gochi is held up to Raditz's eye level. "Depends on if you are mean or not"

"Oh? I suppose you do have some spine in you. Just stay quiet and we won't have a problem" Raditz then climbs out of the crater.

"Why are you being mean to us uncle Raditz? Aren't we family?" Gochi questions in a flat tone.

Raditz holds up Gochi again. "I'm just being a Saiyan. We aren't mean, you just view it that way. Although we are evil"

Gochi thinks about it. "I guess from a relative view anyone could be mean. But why did you beat daddy up? Gohan never beats me up and he's my older brother"

"Because he isn't doing as he is told. And how old are you two he can't be much older than you" Raditz observes this particular child. It had been many years since he had seen a Saiyan child but he hadn't ever found one this… unique.

His scouter shows this child's power fluctuating between 5 and 15. Thats from about average to above average on this planet.

He clicks his router since the power can't be fluctuating like this. "Stupid piece of faulty junk"

"He's only a few minutes older than me. We're twins! And what is that weird computer on your face uncle Raditz?" Gochi asks, already forgetting Raditz's previous answer.

"Twins?" Raditz wonders how a non-saiyan woman can birth two saiyan children. "Whatever. And this is a scouter" He taps the side of the device.

"Scouter?" Gochi looks at the green glass. "What does it do? And why did it beep?"

Raditz sets Gochi on the ground and looks at him. "This thing has a few functions young Gochi. It can read the power of anyone in the area and even the person with it equipped. It gives you the approximate location of the power levels too. It also allows communication across the galaxy also within a certain range. It has other functions as well"

"What's power level? How big is the galaxy? And who does it communicate with?" Gochi asks with sparkles in his eyes.

Raditz's brow twitches. "Argh, I guess I'll answer" He crouches down by bending his knees and rests his arms on his knees. "Power levels are how strong a person is. This device can measure the energy of a person. This is only a mobile version so it has a cap before it can't read higher levels. There are bigger ones that can read higher levels"

Gochi nods.

Raditz continues on. "Ok. Now the galaxy is really really big" Raditz holds his arms out for emphasis. "Many, many planets are in a galaxy. And many have inhabitants of varying strengths. Even you could conquer the weaker ones. It's a damn shame you lost your tail though"

"Yeah, I want a tail to be like Gohan as well…. But now I'm like my daddy! And he's super strong!" Gochi jumps around and poses.

"Well I'm many times stronger than Kakarot" Raditz says.

Gochi turns to Raditz. "Yeah, but you're evil. You'd be way cooler if you were a nice Uncle instead of a mean one. But who do you communicate with?! Is it the other Saiayans?! And are they really mean like you?"

Raditz scowls. "Yeah, it's the other Saiyans. And they're way stronger than me. They're also much worse than I am. I'm like a Saint right now compared to them. Your brother and the rest of the planet would already be dead if they came instead of me"

"Hmmm" Gochi thinks.

"What ar-" Raditz is cut off when his scouter starts beeping rapidly. He quickly stands up. "A power of 700 and its still rising?! Where?!" He scans the area. "It's within 50 meters…. It couldn't be!" He scans Gochi but it's only 13. He turns to the space pod and looks inside. "No way! The little brat can't have that much power! Not if it's Kakarot's brat!"

"Hey!" Gochi shouts. "What's that supposed to mean?! Your his brother aren't you?!"

"Quiet you!" Raditz shouts to Gochi. "This thing is just on the fritz. It can't calculate your power level consistently and now it can't calculate the other one's power level" He clicks a button on the side and it beeps.

"Did you try shutting it off and turning it back on?" Gochi asks.

"Why would I do that?" Raditz turns back towards the little boy.

"Why not try it?" Gochi shrugs his shoulders.

Raditz grumbles as he shuts it off and then turns it back on. He checks Gohans power level and it's back down to 5. Same with Gochi's. "Huh, would you look at that. It did work. How in the bloody helm did you know that?"

"My mommy does that with the phone when it doesn't work" Gochi proudly puffs his chest out.

Raditz can't believe it. He doesn't know if this kid is smart or just as stupid as Kakarot seems. He's leaning towards the latter. "I'm getting hungry, guess it's time to hunt for some food"

"Oooh! Oooh! My daddy hunts for food for our family! He's really good at it! And our mommy cooks it and makes it really delicious. Eating it while it's uncooked isn't good for you she says" Gochi jumps with his hands in the air. His sleeves fall and reveal his bracers.

"What are those?" Raditz asks.

Gochi lowers his arms and looks at the bracers. "These shiny things?" He looks to Raditz who nods. "Daddy and mommy say that these things keep me safe. When I get mad these glow and then I get REALLY strong! Even stronger than daddy! But then I hurt all over and go night-night for a while. I actually did it earlier today and it was pretty bad… But I stayed strong! I kept the hurt inside!" Gochi holds the bracers to his chest. "But how can we cook the food? Wait! Can't you do that blast thingy?! Can you teach me that?!"

Raditz was still trying to process what Gochi said before. The kid was switching tones faster than Vegeta. It was hard to follow. He shakes his head. "Whatever kid. And it'll take you a while to get strong enough to be able to use an energy attack. When you're strong enough…" He holds his hand out and forms a pink energy ball. "… you just push your energy out of your hands and mold it into a ball. Then y-"

Gochi forms a small pink energy ball.

"What?!" Raditz falls to his knees beside Gochi and inspects the energy ball. "How?!"

Gochi holds it away from his body. "How do I get rid of it?!" He shakes his hand to try and get it away.

"Dont shake it like that! Just push it away from yourself. Focus and imagine it flying into the distance!" Raditz advises. It was more complicated, but maybe this child was a prodigy not seen before.

"O-Ok" Gochi sounds troubled. He holds it towards the field. "Go away!"

The small pink orb shoots out at great speeds. It flies across a field until it explodes. A small crater forming.

Gochi puts his hands on his knees. "Haaah, haaah, haaah, like that?"

Raditz looks at the small explosion. Sure it was weak as shit. But for a half Saiyan child with a power level of 5 that was nothing short of a miracle. "Yeah…. Something like that"

"Yay~" Gochi weakly cheers.

Raditz picks Gochi up and actually holds him properly. "Are you hungry?"

"I'm always hungry!" Gochi says, still tired but he tries to ignore it.

"That's more like it. A true Saiyan response! Let's go catch something, and I'll even try cooking it like you said, it just might not be any good. I haven't done much cooking" Raditz floats into the air.

As they were flying they saw a giant wild boar.

"There uncle Raditz!" Gochi points out.

"I see it!" Raditz flies towards it as it runs away. He then appears next to it and caves it's skull in.

"Wow! You were so fast! I don't think I've seen dad go that fast before, and he's super fast!" Gochi exclaims.

Raditz grabs the boar. "You still have the fruit we collected earlier right?"

Gochi shifts the armful of fruit in his arms. "Mhm!"

"Good" Raditz begins flying back to the space pod. His tail carrying the boar while his other arm also is full of fruits and some vegetables.

"Let's get cookin'!" Raditz shouts as they quickly reach the space pod.

"We are going to give Gohan some right?" Gochi quietly asks.

Raditz huffs. "Whatever. If there's any left he can have some"

Raditz makes a fire and lights it with a small ki blast. He cooks the boar with tips from Gochi. Apparently he watched his mom cook and remembered some steps.

When he was done, the boar was actually kinda tasty. The best he has had since the last few planets. Definitely better than the goo crap they were forced to shove down their throats a year ago. He misses his moms cooking but shakes those thoughts from his head.

He holds back and doesn't devour all the food. There was a lot of boar and he and Gochi nearly at it all. It also seemed Gochi held back as well.

Raditz stands up and walks away with some fruit in his hand. "Go give some to Gohan" he also tells Gochi how to open the pod but tells him to leave Gohan inside.

"Thank you uncle Raditz!" Gochi runs off with some meat, fruit and vegetables in his arms.

Gochi opens the pod.

"Gochi! Are you ok? Where's the big meanie!" Gohan looks around.

"He's up there. You aren't supposed to leave yet, but he got you some food!" Gochi places the food on the ground of the space pod.

"Food? That's….. Is dad here yet? Are you ok?" Gohan shakes his head.

"Dads not here yet. And I'm doing ok. Uncle Raditz is a litttle rough around the edges, but he is ok I guess" Gochi look up the crater. "I should get back before he thinks we ran away. Eat up Gohan!" Gochi locks Gohan back in the pod.

Gohan sits back in the seat and watches his little brother scurry up the crater on all fours. He smells the food and it doesn't smell as good as his moms cooking. But it does smell appetizing since he's used a lot of energy crying lately.

So he devours the food that was given to him. He wants to go back to his daddy and his mommy. Even his daddy's friends would be better than his so called uncle.

Gochi goes back to his uncle and sees him playing with his scouter. A fruit still in his hand. "A power level of 656? No, it's two separate power levels. One at 322 and one at 334. Wasn't Kakarot's power level at 330? But Kakarot wouldn't be coming here. He can't beat me and he knows it! Plus he has no idea where I am. That's it! This thing is driving me crazy" Raditz shuts the beeping off.

"My daddy has a power level over 300?! That's so high! I knew he was super strong!" Gochi skips over to Raditz.

"Pah! 300?! That's strong?! I suppose it is for this planet. But in the galaxy it's pitiful actually" Raditz huffs.

Gochi jumps onto Raditz's right shoulder and hangs on. "Then what's yours? You said mine was 5 right? And Gohans too? You must be like…. 900!"

Raditz looks at the child on his shoulder that is playing with his spiky hair. "900?! Do you really see me as someone that weak?! My power level right now is 1,200!" He shouts and startles Gochi.

Gochi thinks he just hit a sore spot. "Sorry uncle Raditz….. But 1,200 is so strong! I'm only at 5 and your like….. so much bigger than me! Do you think my daddy can get that strong too?! He said he trains martial arts, so if he trains he should get stronger right?!"

Raditz looks into the distance. "Nephew. I've been stuck at this power level for quite some time. I may seem powerful, but there are even stronger beings out there that could kill me just by looking at me the wrong way. Sometimes training just isn't enough. But us Saiyans have a way around that. It's what makes us so formidable. When we nearly die but recover, we get a boost to our strength. But even that hasn't helped me. I've stopped growing stronger!" Raditz clenches his fist.

"So you hit a wall? Mommy says that when you get stuck you should take a break before you try it again. And that you need a goal so that you have something to strive for. What's your goal uncle Raditz?" Gochi goes back to playing with Raditz's spiky hair. It's like his father's but much longer and more messy and harder. It tickles his palms.

"Goal?" Raditz hadn't thought of that. He'd only been focused on surviving and killing. He hadn't done much else besides that. He also hardly thinks of the past, it doesn't do any good since anyone he knew besides Vegeta and Napoa are dead. And his baby brother doesn't even remember him, or their mom and dad. And now he's getting advice from a kid. "Pathetic. I really am pathetic" Raditz shakes his head. He looks at Gochi and his scouter reads his power level again. Now it jumped up to 25. "This thing must need to be turned off and on again"

"It's on the fritz again?" Gochi asks

"Yeah, it said you were at 25" Raditz shuts it off.

"Really?! Yes! I'm…." He counts on his fingers. "…5 times as strong as before!"

Raditz turns it on again. "That's only becau-"

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

"What the?!" Raditz turns back towards where the two power levels were at earlier. He can now see Kakarot and a green man. "Kakarot 'is' here!"

"Daddy!" Gochi shouts.

Raditz looks back at the space pod. 'If my scouter isn't broken….. that means…. no. This cannot be accurate. It can't be possible for a child that small to have a power level above 700. And then there's the fluctuation of Gochi's power level. What does this mean!' Raditz then looks to Goku and the green man who landed, it's none other than Piccolo.

Goku and Piccolo stand side by side facing Raditz.

"Well, we'll, well. Look who decided to drop on in. Little brother, oh, and he bright the green man with him. I was wondering who that insignificant little blimp on my scouter might be. I must confess, I didn't expect it to be you. What a pleasant surprise. I have to hand it to you brother. I didn't think I'd see you till tomorrow. You are a little more resourceful than I thought. And more foolish as well" Raditz was tossing the fruit in his hand up and catching it as it fell.

"We will see about that" Goku says in response.

Raditz smirks. "Fair enough. So, what brings you here Kakarot? Do tell. Have you already eliminated 100 Earthlings?"

Goku frowns. "I'm here to get my sons back! I see Gochi, but what did you do with Gohan?!"

Gohan can hear his father and stops crying in the pod. He gets up from the pods seat and starts banging on the window again.

Raditz closes his eyes and sighs. "I was afraid you'd say that. You are testing my patience Kakarot. I've been more than generous with you so far…. Now for the last time I strongly recommend that you join us!"

"I don't care what you recommend! The answer is still no!" Goku shouts.

It kinda scared Gochi. He hadn't seen his father mad like this before. He hides into Raditz's hair slightly.

"You should listen to your big brother" Raditz warns.

"As far as I'm concerned I don't have a brother!" Goku rebutes.

Raditz squeezes the fruit in his hand. Gochi can tell that that actually hurt Raditz. "Alright then. You can have it your way Kakarot. I didn't come here to kill you. But you have left me no choice. It's too bad little brother! Id have thought you'd find the life of a Saiyan quite invigorating"

Piccolo takes off his cape. "Alright. I've heard enough talk. We're here so let's get on with it"

Goku looks at the cape hit the ground heavily. "Huh? Piccolo? I had no idea you trained with weighted clothing too!"

Piccolo takes his turban off his head to reveal two antenna on his bald green head. "What? Thought you were the only one?" He rolls his shoulders and cracks his neck. "Oh yeah. I feel much lighter now"

Raditz's scouter beeps as it recalculates Piccolo's power level.

"Why did it recalculate? Shouldnt it be the same no matter what clothes a person wears?" Gochi looks at Piccolo. "Does stripping give you more power?!"

"Don't be ridiculous!" Raditz shouts. "The clothing were weighted so it put more of a strain on his body. This made his power level decrease. So when he takes off the weighted clothing it's like taking the limiter off"

"Ohhhhh. That makes more sense" Gochi then looks at his dad as he takes off his undershirt, boots, and wrist bands. "What are their power levels now?"

"Not high enough" Raditz narrows his eyes. "But if you must know. The green man is now at 408. And Kakarot is at 416"

"That only makes…." Gochi counts on his fingers. "…824 total. They still aren't near your strength!"

"You are right little nephew. Now I'd recommend you move before the adults start to get serious" Raditz hands Gochi the fruit and takes him from his shoulder. "Catch Kakarot!" He throws the young child to Goku.

"Daddy!" Gochi shouts as he opens his arms and gets caught by Goku.

"Gochi!" He catches his son. "Are you ok?! Did he hurt you? Where's Gohan?!"

Gochi gets crushed by his dads hug. "I'm ok. And so is Gohan…. Uncle Raditz didn't hurt us. He even gave us food"

Goku sets Gochi down. "Why don't you go to your brother? Alright?"

"Ok! I'll get him and be right back!" Gochi takes off towards the space pod.

Raditz's scouter calculates Gochi's power again. It's risen to 250 all of a sudden. 'What in the absolute hell?! How did he jump so high so suddenly?! Apparently Gohan isn't the only monster. Gochi also appears to have hidden power. I wonder what would happen if we take those bracers off'

Raditz laughs. "Hahaha! Now that the distraction is gone…. Do you two think that your new power levels will make a difference?! FOOLS! Who do you think I am?! A few weights aren't going to affect the outcome of this fight! I'm still 10 times stronger than you are!"

Goku gets in his fighting stance. "That may be true. But strength isn't the only thing that matters. Not when you can outsmart your opponent!"

Piccolo looks at Goku like he's the one with green skin now.

Raditz laughs at Kakarot. "You really don't have a clue do you brother. You know what? I think I've decided I don't want you to join us anymore. A fool like you would only slow us down. I'd rather take your sons! YOU'RE A DISGRACE TO ALL SAIYANS, NOW PREPARE TO DIE!!!"

Piccolo also gets into a fighting stance with his arms crossed infront of his torso.

Raditz suddenly disappears after running a few steps towards Goku and Piccolo.

Raditz reappears behind the duo suddenly and drives one of his elbows into each of their backs.

Goku and Piccolo get hit forward but don't go down.

Now they are the same distance away they were when Raditz first moved.

"Hahaha! Well I'll give you this, you know how to take a punch. Good! This should make this all the more interesting going forward. Oh yes, let's find out how much pain you can really stand!"

Piccolo is focused on how much stronger Raditz is than he expected. Goku focuses on trying to think of a way to grab his tail because that's the only chance they will have.

"What's wrong? You look so angsty Kakarot. Are you still trying to outsmart me?" He mocks. He drops his guard. "Well think about this while you're at it. Your situation is even more hopeless than you realize. Hehehe, if you think I'm strong now just wait till I catch my stride. Truth is I'm just getting warmed up!"

Goku and Piccolo realize just how much shit they are now in.

How much trouble are Goku and Piccolo really in? How much stronger can Raditz get? What kind of trump cards do these warriors have? Just what is up with the little twin saiyans power levels? Which way will this fight go?
