Dragon Lord of Starling City

「 Hiatus 」 Rebirth, Reincarnation, Transmigration. Caden was killed in cold blood as he slept, on the night of his late parent's wedding anniversary, by the very same man who killed them on his birthday when he was only five years old. He had only been fifteen years old at the time of his death. Given a choice of what he wished to become, he admired those who could fly, he loved the stories of dragons, and he was infatuated with the Arrowverse television series on the CW. And so... He chose to become a Dragon Lord, a powerful mythological being, an Alpha of his kind. His very essence materialized upon the gravesite of Oliver and Robert Queen in the year 2010, two years before the emergence of the Hood. The body of the draconic being was endowed with powerful magical energies far beyond his initial comprehension.

It was after school, the day after the deaths of the Claybourne Pharmaceutical Company CEO and his illegitimate son Adrian Chase. While they couldn't find any traces of their DNA within the ash, their fate had been ultimately recorded on video. This video became viral overnight, something the local government couldn't even stop. An arrow setting two men ablaze, no other deaths, it was a complete assassination.

There were questions which weren't able to be answered, as it was magic, not a regular attack. There was no sign of forced entry, however there was a recording of two dragon hooded individuals entering the building, but never coming out.

Thea Queen and Caden Price were walking along the pavement as they strolled casually through the streets of Starling City. They barely looked at other people, but they took in their scenery as if everything was natural.

Their bodyguard was trailing back, several paces behind, keeping a close eye on them.

There was no reason to suspect them, there was no reason to really guard them like a hound. They were just rich people, and rich people enjoy security, at least some do.

"So... Where are we going today?" Thea said as she seemed a bit lazy. She had gone to school on time today, went through all her classes and met him outside. So now they were just hanging out, on a date of sorts with a third wheel lagging behind them.

Caden shrugged slightly, "Maybe the park," he stated as he took in the hundreds of people which were so close to them. Out of all of them, there were thousands of colors, scents and pheromones.

He was being taken in and almost overwhelmed, but with her by his side, he remained calm and collected.

The two of them continued their adventure through the concrete jungle until they came to an almost uninhabited park. Though he found it rather weird. It was a little after three o'clock and there were usually children playing here.

Truth be told, it felt a bit eerie.

"Isn't there usually more people here...?" Caden asked as he looked around. There was at least one couple walking their dog, an old woman feeding pigeons. Yet the playground was completely deserted. There wasn't even an empty plastic bag being dragged by the wind.

"Yeah, there usually is." Thea said as she looked around. Their bodyguard stood directly beside them also looking around. It definitely looked a bit weird here.

Suddenly there was a yelp, it made the two of them jump, but they quickly noticed that no one else paid it any mind. "Did you hear that?" Caden turned to the bodyguard who raised a brow, not knowing what he was talking about.

Thea looked up at the two of them before she let go of his arm and stepped forward several times before coming to a stop.

Caden followed her slowly, focusing his senses to his surrounding area. There was a strange feeling emanating from this place, a strange smell. It smelt of brimstone and sulfur. With his enhanced hearing, he could hear someone being tossed around like a ragdoll.

"I'm John fucking Constantine, Mate, it's gonna take a lot more than that to keep me down!"

Caden's eye twitched slightly as he grinned a bit hearing his favorite occultist and master magician. He and Thea made their way through a grouping of trees and bushes and came to a clearing near a pavilion.

In that moment John constantly was sent tumbling to their feet, facing up towards the sun. He could have a clear view up Thea's skirt, but he immediately sat up seeing how young she was. "Oi... I thought I warded this place to keep people out of here..." He uttered in annoyance as he stood up, dusting his duster off.

Thea and Caden however weren't paying much attention to him. Instead they had their eyes set on the culprit who was staining the sorcerer's coat.

Their ears were greeted by a sound of repetitive clicking, it sounded like that of a hissing cockroach. "Ooo... Fancy demon." Caden muttered quietly to himself before looking over at Constantine who had a brow raised.

"Aye, nice eyes you got there kiddo..." Constantine blabbed, looking over Caden's face, before looking to the demon who seemed to have possessed the body of a social worker.

Caden gave Constantine a glance before grinning at the demon, who almost immediately took a step back. The demon's focus changed from Constantine to Caden himself, which couldn't be ignored.

Constantine who was standing close to him could feel his essence, the kid wasn't human, but an incredibly powerful Dragon and not just any dragon. He slowly turned and looked to the Dragon Lord.

"Mister Constantine, you shouldn't show a demon your back." Caden said as Thea remained standing beside him without any fear in her eyes. She seemed to believe he could protect her.

Constantine was rather bewildered that the Dragon was telling him not to turn his back on the demon and glanced over. The demon looked as if it was going to make a break for it. "Mate, you can just bloody kill the thing by breathing on it..."

The Dragon Lord simply looked over at him when he said this and shrugged. "You got a vial?"

Constantine raised a brow and took an empty vial out of his coat and handed it over to the boy. He had no idea what the child was going to do, even if he was a dragon lord. However he had a feeling he was going to do something related to his breath since he brought it up.

Caden closed his eyes and took in a breath. His teeth began to take their natural pointed form, pigment toned scales appeared around his eyes and his antlers began to grow angled out the back of his head from behind his ears. Then he would press his lips to the open mouth of the vial and exhale slowly as if he were going to do a dry whistle.

A stream of aquatic blue flames began to make their way from his mouth with his breath. Constantine watched this as the hell fire filled the vial and the boy sealed it and handed it to him.

John simply held it in his hand and stared at it for a moment before looking at the demon who was turning to dash away. It could foresee its destruction if it remained, all it could hope to do was escape.

Chanting over the small vial, he watched as the man summoned an aquatic green portal to hell directly in front of the fleeing demon. Screams of terror, hatred and despair could be heard as they were sucked in against their will. The portal then quickly closed once they were fully absorbed into the next realm.

Once that was done with, Caden's features returned to that of a more human appearance. The antlers, dragon teeth and scales were no longer visible, but his eyes remained the same.

"So..." Constantine turned to face the younger male and the female sidekick. He crossed his arms over his chest, "What is a Dragon doing in Starling City?" He shifted as he stood there, looking over Thea Queen. "Mate, How old are you even?"

"Fifteen," Caden said with a very serious tone, he could see what he was implying. Many believed dragons could be centuries old to have the amount of power he had, if not many thousands or more.

Thea just looked back and forth between the two of them, shaking her head as she was rather enthusiastic about the whole situation. "Caden, lets go."

"Caden?" Constantine repeated his name for a moment and raised a brow. "That's not a very Draconic name you have." He snickered a bit, "Sounds very human, doesn't it? You like being a shifter, deceiving others?"

"He was human," Thea spoke for Caden as he was looking back at him without much of an expression on his face.

"Was?" Constantine made a confused expression as cynical face, how does a human being become a Dragon? These things were ancient beings, mythological. However this one did seem to reek of strong magic energies. "How?" John was clearly skeptical of this.

"Last thing I remember is being stabbed," Caden stated as he crossed his own arms over his chest. "Then waking up on a tombstone behind her house." He said as he wiggled his fingers a bit.

John nodded slightly, "And you became a Dragon?"

"Dragon Lord," Caden seemed to believe that this term fitted him best, he was strong, he had magic, and he felt if he came across any other dragon; he'd be able to control them.

The sorcerer scrunched up his nose when he heard him say it and repeated the term he coined. "Drag... Dragon Lord? Mate, we're not living in a game of Dungeons & Dragons."

Thea tugged on Caden's arm, "Lets go. He's a waste of time and energy, plus I'm getting hungry. C'mon." She was getting aggravated that they weren't leaving. Her stomach even began to growl. Even though she had gone to school today, she didn't eat lunch as she had no appetite at the time.

For a split moment Caden closed his eyes, John could sense he was powering up some sort of power, he could sense it. However before he could attempt to counter any form of attack from the man beast, he froze.

Caden was Astral Projecting his true form for Johnny alone to see. He was at least twice the length of the height regarding the twin towers, and the same width of just one of them.

"That's an abnormal Eastern Dragon..." He muttered quietly, commenting on the serpentine form and its identifying antlers and hair.

This creature who once claimed to be human and fifteen at that, was larger than anything he had ever seen. He could definitely blot out the sun should he fly high enough in the sky. He could devour an entire country with nothing to stop him. Just how was this creature made? John just stood there blinking several times as he tried absorbing this.

"We'll be going, if you need my assistance, I'll find you." Caden said with a toothy grin, practically telling John not to come after him and that he was an allie and not a foe. He proceeded to take Thea Queen's hand.

"Find me? Mate, I'll..." He watched as the two teens began to walk off towards the direction of the commercial zone outside of the park. They were really going out to eat after what they had just seen. "I'll be..." He shook his head as he patted himself down and raised a brow, he couldn't find his pack of cigs. "The bloody hell?"
