To The End

Kaito thought about everything that led him to this moment. What had led him to die in a place like this? Kaito coughed up blood. Was he really about to die? 

"All you had to do was join us" Towa looked visibly upset and that confused Kaito. "Now you'll never see Hana again" Kaito's blood boiled over at that statement. 

"Excuse you?" Kaito grabbed Towa's staff and snapped it in half. Towa was startled and backed up a bit. "You don't get to mess with my family then throw me away" Kaito pulled out the part that was pinning him to the wall.

"What are you doing you fool! You'll die if you keep that up!" Towa's voice was laced with concern? "Don't do that!" Towa started walking over to Kaito.

"Take one more step and you're dead" Kaito spit out the blood that was in his mouth. "I don't know why you sound so concerned, I'm not some toy that will break so easily." Kaito looked daggers at the smirking Mechikabura. 

Kaito rushed in to punch Towa but was blocked by the controlled Risa. Risa got in her stance for the gamma burst. Before she shot it off Kaito grabbed her shoulder and flipped over her, pointing her at Mechikabura in the process. 

"Wait wait!" Mechikabura could only beg before he was seemingly obliterated in a flash of bright light and lightning. The top of the castle exploded around them and crumbled to the floor. 

Kaito decided he had enough and ran at Risa, Towa however tried getting in his way. "Out of my way you lunatic!" I came to save my sister and I wont leave without her!" Kaito charged a blast in his hand and when he got close he sidestepped Towa placing the blast in her stomach area letting it explode and send Towa flying out of the tower down to the battlefield at Mira's feet. 

"Well…It would seem you're determined." Kaito whipped around to find Mechikabura standing there alive and without a scratch. "Too bad kid" Mechikabura raised his pointer finger and shot a beam that pierced Kaitos's shoulder sending him flying into Risa breaking half of the mask. Slamming into the broken wall and slouching over Kaito was barely conscious. 

"You.." Kaito coughed up blood and weezed. "Bastard" Kaito couldn;t hold on this was it for him it seemed. When suddenly he was picked up by Risa. "What?" Kaito let out in barely a whisper. 

"I'm surrounded by failure!" Mechikabure charged up an attack to vaporize them both to start over again. "Begone Filthy Mortals" Mechikabura was about to fire but before he could Risa threw Kaito over the side of the collapsed tower

"HANA!" Kaito called out to her but he was too weak to stop her. The last thing he saw was Risa mouthing the words ("I Love You") before being obliterated into space dust. Kaito let out a scream that could rival the likes of Goku going Super Sayian 3. Kaito hit the ground hard and passed out from the pain, the anguish, the failure. 

[Time Nest after the fight]

Kaito woke with a start and looked around all he saw was devastation. Patrollers were hurt, some were missing limbs, and others looked rattled to the core. 

"Hey you're awake" Kaito heard a voice behind him and looked to find Xeno. "You did good kiddo" Xeno patted Kaito on the back. 

"Where's Ha- I mean Risa?" Kaito looked at Xeno with pleading eyes. 

"Im sorry Kai, She was one of the casualties" Kaito looked horrified, yet again his weakness was his most prevalent trait. Kaito pushed Xeno out of the way and slammed the ground with his fists. 

"Hana!" Kaito screamed to the heavens and cried ceaseless tears. He failed not once, but twice. "Why am I so weak?" Kaito's body began to vibrate and lightning was gathering around him as he kept beating himself up. 

"Hey Kai, you wanna calm down?" Xeno tried to reach out to him but a stray spark of lighting zapped his hand on its approach. In a blinding flash of light Kaito's burst out and everyone could feel it. He reached the Legend too late to save his sister. 

[Hospital]

Hana groggily got up and looked around the pure white walls giving her a headache. "Where am i?" She looked to her side and saw her mother laying by her bedside. The movement stirring her awake Yukko blinked and saw Hana awake immediately she brought her daughter into a hug. 

"You're okay! I thought we lost you!" Yukko cried into Hana's shoulder. "Your brother must have been successful!" Yukko kept a tight hold on Hana as if she were to let go Hana would disappear again. 

"Honey, I'm back!" Enki stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Hana looking at him. "Hana?" Enki dropped what he was carrying and walked over to embrace his daughter. 

After they calmed down they asked what happened. "So Hana what happened?" Yukko was excited to hear what she had to say. 

"Who are you?" Hana said, confused looking at her parents.
